Received a postcard for Vango at my new house and called about getting two large roller shades. My husband and I do not agree on window covering styles, so I asked Jim if he had anything in a roller shade that looked less commercial and "plain" to appease my husband, but still in a large enough roller for what I needed to cover. I had ordered other roller shades online for our last home, but it was tricky to determine the best style with very small samples. Jim came out and narrowed the list of potential options down quickly and easily. He showed me photos of jobs he had done before, and made some suggestions based on what color flooring I was going to get and what would make my husband and I both happy. He held samples up to the windows and told me what color he thought would show through with sun behind, while still giving me the privacy I wanted. We got it narrowed down to one style and two colors, and both Jim and my husband voted for the darker, which I was against. BUT....I was wrong, and they were both right. The rollers we got could not be more perfect. As he said, they are a great match for our flooring, and the texture really helps to make it look less stark and "boring." As an added bonus, Jim is so friendly and the ordering and installation are super fast. Very very pleased with the whole process, and love our new shades. read more

Jim installed shades on small windows, large sliders and a skylight. The motorized skylight keeps out the morning light on days that I can sleep in. I don't know why Jim doesn't have many reviews yet, in fact I was actually wary of using him because of that fact. However I'm glad we did because his price was half what Home Depot quoted (and they couldn't even get the fabric we liked long enough besides). He came out the day after we called him (on a Saturday) and returned to install the blinds the following Friday. They went up in a snap and fit perfectly. We got three quotes and his was in the middle. We went with him because he did his own measurements and installation, not some contracted third party. It took about two weeks from when he took the measurements to the finished installation. Installation was quick and accurate. He knows his way around the windows. This is a long overdue review from 2019 but my experience was excellent so I still want to leave this review. My living room has a very wide window so I needed a custom blind or do some combination of multiple blinds with one valence. Also I was hesitant to do my own measurements and order online. Van Go Blinds gave excellent advice and said the one wide blind with single valence would be a cleaner look and work well. I got blinds for three other windows, too. Took less than two weeks from initial order and installation was quick too. Also got advice to keep my existing curtains and keep them on the side to help frame the blinds. I had several different people come to give me estimates. Jim was the lowest cost and he also had the fastest timeline for the install. On top of that, he was able to put blinds on a 100 inch window and no other company that came over said they could do that... they all said they needed to split the blind into two blinds because the window was just too big.
