The architecture of the building had great lighting and spaces. Not huge, but also not small. I believe they are expanding too. Cafe downstairs and a gift shop. Took two turns at the art work. One solo and one on the free tour. The tour is absolutely a must. I learned so much and got to get a better understanding for the pieces and artist. Gift shop was fun, but I expected more unique things. Pricer side. I'd say overall visit absolutely worth it. Nice walkable area nearby. If you're lucky, you'll see some dolphins!

Upon entry the receptionist checks you in and encourages you to watch the 15 min video prior to exploring. They also have a scavenger hunt to keep you entertained throughout the stroll. The exhibit was very unique and filled with unique history. The museum is very tiny and leaves you wanting more. As large as it appears from the outside, you would think the museum would be congruent. It took us about 30-45 mins to stroll through it, and that included the 15 minute video. Overall it was a good experience.

The selections in the exhibition are beautiful. Each one is surprisingly more beautiful and different than the next one. The service in the gift shop where you purchase your ticket is especially great. You can ask questions and receive polite answers. I really enjoyed my visit. USF offers its Master of Fine Arts students a graduation exhibition yearly that seems to highly anticipated but whatever works by emerging and established artists are showcased here are sure to offer fascinating insights into current trends, directions and influences on contemporary art. There are so many videos and hands on activities. They have a rope tying station, They have stations where you lift the flaps and you can learn more. When they talk about the orange groves you walk into a little building front. Inside they have more information. When you learn about the shipping industry you walk into a shipping crate and there is a little interactive video. When you learn about the ships that carried cargo they have a room you go into and they have a video. You choose what route you take on the monitor and then it tells you a story with live action about where you go into a room and they have a video presentation. Spoiler alert, there are pirate ships involved. It has multiple screens and you feel like you're in a Hollywood live action movie. This place is a must see for those history buffs and those that like to be entertained and enjoy interactive exhibits.

Our admission was free so I wasn't expecting much, but this museum has a lot to see and experience. We started at the 4th floor to see the pirate ship and worked our way down through the galleries. I really enjoyed learning about Tampa history as someone who is not from here at all and didn't know much. There are several interactive exhibits on each floor which I loved. My 7 and 8 year old had a great time and wanted to stay longer, but after 2 hours we had other obligations later that day. If you enjoy museums, I highly recommend visiting. Plus, there are ways to get free admission like checking out a pass from the library.

When we first arrived, I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. From the outside, it almost looked…read morelike a collection of warehouses covered in murals, and I wasn't immediately impressed. The moment we stepped inside, though, my opinion completely changed. The entrance is beautifully designed, with a cozy lounge area, a bright yellow chair, tiered seating filled with colorful artistic pillows, and so many creative details to admire. We were greeted by a very friendly staff member at the front desk, which made us feel welcome right away. The museum begins with a small contemporary art gallery and a stylish café/bar area. It has a very artistic atmosphere. It looked like the café is still being finished, as the bar wasn't fully set up yet, but I can already imagine how great it will be once completed. Even the restroom sinks caught my attention--they're a work of art on their own! Then the real adventure begins. Walking into the darker rooms filled with neon lights felt like stepping into another world. Every room is completely different and feels like its own immersive art installation. There are so many interactive spaces that encourage you to explore, play, and take your time. My younger daughter absolutely loved the room filled with giant strawberry desserts, while my older daughter couldn't get enough of the interactive gaming area. There is also a creative room where visitors can draw, and it was a huge hit with the kids. My favorite installation was a room designed to look like a small neighborhood shop where every single item was handmade from fabric by a group of five women. As someone who studied art and clothing design, including sewing, I know how much patience, precision, and skill goes into work like this. I found myself admiring every tiny detail, every perfectly sewn stitch, and all the incredible craftsmanship. It was truly inspiring, and I have so much respect for the artists who created it. The only downside was a very strong musty smell in parts of the museum. It was noticeable throughout our visit and took away a little from the overall experience. I hope it's something temporary that can be fixed, because this place is incredibly creative and deserves to be enjoyed without that distraction. FloridaRAMA is full of surprises. It may not look like much from the outside, but once you step through the doors, you enter a world of imagination, creativity, and pure art. We ended up spending much longer there than we expected, and both kids and adults had an amazing time. It's a fun, unique experience that's absolutely worth visiting if you're in St. Petersburg.

Check-in was simple and fast, and the staff couldn't have been sweeter or more helpful. The experience itself was so much fun! We had the best time navigating the exhibits and making our way through the maze or everything Florida, both old and new. Our absolute favorite spot was life-sized garden. The sheer creativity that the artists had to have to make this place come to life, was just fascinating. We also loved the gift shop on the way out; it features so many wonderful local artists, so of course, we had to pick up a few treats to take home. This place is truly a St. Pete treasure. It's a fun and memorable experience and you'll have loads of laughs and lots of silly selfies to look back on. Until the next time FloridaRama!!
