Always hits, never misses! Amazing! Got the Mango sticky rice and I was in heaven! They have a lot of options but you are able to sample which is dangerous since it's so hard to choose but the staff are very patient and kind! Plenty of places to sit and they also have pints to go so you can always buy some for later! Will always be back!

I was here a week ago and I absolutely loved the ice cream. The staff was friendly and the ambiance was chill but there was no where to sit because it was packed.

I'm a big artisanal ice cream fan, and this shop has so many fun flavors. They let you sample a few. However, I cannot justify the price point. An ice cream cone here costs as much as a meal! I visited in the scorching summer heat, so we opted to stay inside to enjoy our ice cream. They also have pints available for sale.

Had a great experience here on a beautiful day. The location is pretty with few intimate seating. They have a variety of elevated flavors. Although may be pricey, it's worth it. The assistant who helped me was extremely patient and friendly. She gave me recommendations and offered samples with enthusiasm. The only downside is that they don't accept cash but there is a cash-to-card machine in there.

Popped in for a little snack while walking through Williamsburg. The ice cream was very creamy and thick--I had the mango sticky rice flavor and the earl grey. The earl grey in particular was very tasty--almost like a sherbet. The prices were a little expensive but that's to be expected. Service was relatively fast.

Of course it's always hard to choose a flavor. I went with a seasonal choice "Pumpkin Cheesecake." It absolutely didn't disapoint.

I'm a tried and true ice cream lover. When I buy ice cream at the store to have at home, my go to is Van Leeuwen. It's one of my favorite among the choices for artisanal ice cream. It may be a more pricey than some other ice cream but in my opinion, you get what you pay for. Their ice cream is made from high quality, (heavy cream, GMO milk, eggs...) simple ingredients. I try to stay away from food that has ingredients that I can't even pronounce. After doing a little shopping in Williamsburg I need a post shopping pick me up! It was hard to choose a flavor, so many I already know I love so, I wanted to try one of their fall seasonal flavors. The pumpkin cheesecake was delish. Two of my favorite things (pumpkin & cheesecake) together! A perfect flavor combination. When it comes to The ice cream flavors that are always available some of my favorites include: earl grey tea, honeycomb, Sicilian pistachio and praline butter cake. Go for some ice cream and enjoy!

First off, the staff member was super sweet (ha!) and helpful, the inside was clean and the ice cream was delicious. They have a variety of unique flavors. BUT, and that's a big but right there, one small scoop came up to a little over eight dollars! As delicious as this scoop was, which I wish I could afford every day, that is just a line of insanity I cannot see myself crossing again soon, no matter how much I crave ice cream.

I'm a big fan of this place. The flavors are so unique and delicious. Stopped in for a few scoops and it didn't disappoint. The employees were helpful with helping me decide on my flavors. They offered samples of whatever I wanted. They have gluten free and vegan options too. As a gluten free person, I chose the seasonal Thandai which tastes like Thai Tea and the Vegan Sweet Potato Marshmallow Pie. Both were so good! Definitely recommend! If you're by a Van Leeuwen's, you go!! Awesome customer service! Very friendly and knowledgeable about all of the flavors! Cute little ice cream shop that was very welcoming.

Soooo good and so nicely air conditioned on a hot day!!! Pro tip, buy the three scoop for $10 and share it! My sister got 1 scoop for $8. lol. They have great variety to choose from and vegan options. It was a great treat after sweating the entire walk and lunch!!

This is the best ice cream I've ever had. So creamy and awesome flavor. People here are awesome and always a great place for a break.

Really cute location and has plenty of seats and booths for the hot summer months . I got the strawberry shortcake and the banana pudding both vegan and a cone . The strawberry shortcake almost made me cry it was so good and the banana pudding hit as well . I was a little confused about where to order or where the line was but other than that it was awesome . Pricier but honestly so worth it

I tried the limited edition thandai flavour and it is one of the best ice creams I have ever had! I hope they sell it in store as well. Also staff was really nice and even told me how they make their black tea ice cream (which is also super delicious!) nearby.

They are made to order & soooo good! Do not try & order these before closing because they will say no! This is a grab & go type of business. There are no tables for dining in. All the hype, all the 3.5k Yelp reviews, all the 4.3 stars, all the 5.1k photos to lured me, finally, for a visit to Taiyaki NYC to make my own assessment and patronized visit was surely justified. It is here Taiyaki NYC where the fish-shaped Japanese waffle that is chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside is well known. This fish-shaped Japanese waffle originated where invented in Tokyo, Japan in 1909. I have a strong proclivity for predilection of traditional ice cream as my personal taste, but occasionally I do enjoy soft serve ice cream. My predilection of traditional ice cream is for maintaining the coldness to intake my time consuming whereas soft serve ice cream melts very quickly. Taiyaki NYC only carries soft serve ice cream. I decided my usual default ice cream flavor green tea one scoop in small cup. Customer service is attentive as my male server cashier was very patient when deciding my order and digging my bag to search for change for cash payment. This male cashier appeared very utterly befuddled with bewilderment questioning the American coin respective values when counting to dispense my change as my payment was cash. Yes, cash is still widely accepted as a valid form of legal tender payment. "Prohibition of Cashless Establishments, as of March 21, 2026, all retail and food establishments in New York State, including New York City, must accept in-person cash payments, banning fully cashless stores." Taiyaki NYC complies. There are very limited ledge seating and absolutely no tables. This brick and mortar storefront business is designed for take-out, the standard NYC on-the-go culture. There are disposable coasters with their fish waffle image. There is a galvanized metal bucket reminisce of mint julep cup serving as makeshift gratuity from one's arts and craft creation. Ice cream cup, one scoop green tea $7.50 It has a very alluring aesthetic food appeal to my eye for the swirls heap in a large, towering mound above the cup ream line. It does have the standard hollow center, but not a large circumference unlike most soft serve ice cream competitor businesses. I find the gargantuan hollow center to be flagrantly egregious cheating and scamming customers for quantity and quality. Aesthetic food appeal for the facade attract customer attention, but can businesses focus on taste, quantity and quality for filling the interior especially at a extortionate price of $7.50? Nevertheless, the taste was a joyful delight as a temporary escape from life's chaotic of my Sisyphean task. Napkins are abundantly available for grabs.

Chinatown Ice Cream Factory was only steps away, so it only made sense for us to check it out. I had heard of CICF before - it has become pretty well known on social media and my brother also frequents this area and has spoken of it. The space is small - outside of a small area indoors to queue up there is no other seating or area for customers. There was a small line when we arrived but it moved quickly; I can see foot traffic being an issue when they're being slammed though as there is no efficient flow of customers in and out. But I mean, it must be working for them - this spot is incredibly popular. Anyway, they have a good selection of ice cream flavors - some common ones and other more unique ones. I decided to try the vanilla fudge which was quite good; I could tell the ice cream itself was quality, and there was a generous helping of fudge ribboned throughout. Service was good - they were working the line well and before I knew it I was outside enjoying. Overall, Chinatown Ice Cream Factory was great - the ice cream was delicious and I wouldn't hesitate to return to explore more of their flavors.

The melon pieces were sweet, the ice is milk based so it was creamy and flavorful on its own. We barely used the condensed milk that it came with (and we loved how they put it on the side for us instead). At the bottom of the shaved ice was cereal pieces and mochi which gave a nice different texture. We also tried their drinks specifically their blue lemonade and mango-ade which I thought was just ok. The highlight is definitely their shaved ice. Definitely go for the large as the small seemed much smaller and for double the price, you can get almost 2-3x more. The line was pretty long when we arrived, and it took us about 15 minutes to get to the front. Once you get inside, a worker offers you samples before you decide what you want. The frozen yogurt selection itself was pretty small, which was one of my only critiques. There were only a handful of flavors to choose from, so we kept it simple and went with the vanilla and chocolate. They had a good selection of toppings, although I've definitely been to other froyo places with more variety. I was especially excited about the cookie dough and all the different sauces. We added a few scoops of cookie dough, chocolate cake, mochi, and pistachio, matcha, and chocolate sauces. The cookie dough was by far the star of the show! It paired so well with the frozen yogurt and was probably my favorite part of the whole thing. It was pretty pricey for frozen yogurt, but honestly, I thought it was worth it. I also liked that many of the frozen yogurts and toppings had healthier, gluten-free, and/or vegan options, which made indulging in dessert feel a little less guilty. The frozen yogurt wasn't as tart and the original flavor I would skip and choose their fruit ones like the mango was delicious! Their toppings are more on the sweeter American toppings such as chocolate chips, cookie dough, brownies, mochi, granola, fruit, and cinnamon bun to name a few instead of the unique toppings like baklava. However I do appreciate they have three unique sauces of pistachio, Nutella, and matcha sauce to drizzle over your froyo. I found my toppings to be too sweet with the frozen yogurt that wasn't as tart and was also sweet. If I were to come back I would get their mango frozen yogurt, chocolate chips cookie dough, and pistachio drizzle! I found the matcha drizzle to taste more like white chocolate and it hardened fast. The cinnamon buns were dry and the raspberry sauce was too sour. I do like how the worker near the frozen yogurt machines give you samples if you want to try some before you getting your bowl to fill with your choice of froyo(s) and self serve toppings. It's by weight and mine came out to be $15. I came at 9pm on a Wednesday and waited 15 minutes. The workers were all so nice though!
