I specifically asked for a scissor cut + mid taper and wanted to preserve my curls because I had recently gotten a perm. Unfortunately, the final result looked nothing like the reference photo or anything I expected. My hair was getting a little over grown and i just wanted to shape it up, clean it a little, and add a taper to the sides. What frustrated me the most was no communication regarding length. Not once did he explain how much hair would be cut off or confirm the amount he planned to cut before he began. He ended up cutting off so much length that my entire perm (WHICH I JUST PAID FOR) is completely gone. I expected basic instructions to be followed but I this barber was not the one for the job. A mid taper is not a low taper, and preserving curls is impossible when the length needed for those curls is completely removed. I left feeling like really bummed out as I had a very special occasion just arouud the corner and had my hair completely removed. Months of hair growth and the money spent on a recent perm were gone in a single appointment. So disappointed, you had so much hair to work with, and you completely fumbled.
