Great customer service and best haircut. Most people don't like waiting in line for anything much less a haircut. The shop is usually not very busy. The shop is a little hidden in the far corner of the Smart and Final shopping center. So not a lot of foot traffic. I appreciate they take their time to cut your hair just right. Always a good cut. I asked for a curtain bang cut and showed the lady the video couple times, how the hell does my hair come out looking like mico bangs? I went in to get a haircut. I asked the woman for a trim with layers. She cut my hair DRY and she even asked me if I part my hair how it's parted right now (to one side) and I said not EXACTLY like that but to the side yeah. She cut my hair evenly (not in layers) and she took off about two years hair growth. I don't know if it was because it was near closing time, but I would have been better off not having had my hair touched at all. I have never experienced anything like this before. This is my go to place. If you're an asian man and haven't quite found a barber who can do your hair Masa can do it. That is of course assuming you have the porcupine type hair. The Japanese man's name is Masa. He can probably do other types of hairs given that he's been a barber in the states for a while now. It's always good to call and see if he's in. He doesn't really take appointments. Even if you call and say you'll be there in 5 minutes, if a customer comes in during that time he'll take them. There are also other ladies at the shop, I don't have too much information about them other than that they are kind people. read more

My husband gets his hair cut by Masa and I read great reviews on Hilda and decided to give her a try and she did an amazing job. She was very warm and friendly. We talked about what I was looking for in a hair style and she listened and gave me back great feedback and between the two of us we made the choice and I am so happy on what we chose. I had straight long Asian hair and she layered it and cut it in a way that framed my face and made me look younger. Who doesn't want to look younger :-) The shop is tucked away in the corner but the parking is convenient and there is more parking in the back. The owner Masa is also very friendly. read more

Masa hair will not Messa up your hair. I should know as I have been going here to get the wig clipped since I was a wee lad of 13. The same 3 employees have been working here since at least then. Masa himself is a Japanese fellow, who has a military background. He will give you a standard cut, nothing too fancy, but he is very good and gets right down to business. Small talk can be challenging since he has a strong Japanese accent, but Masa is the best. Marisol and Hilda will take care of any style you want, and are super friendly. I am partial to Marisol, only because she has been cutting my hair the longest. Prices are reasonable at about $15. read more

Hilda is by far one of the kindest people you will ever meet... so kind, that she cannot say no to people who want to come in at the last minute, causing disruption to your time in the chair. If you have all day to wait, and don't mind having people pop in front of you, you'll be fine. I have very thick long brown (and gray) hair and Rosa always does exactly what I ask or show her a picture of. She even made my wishes in my side-shave days come true! Although I haven't been here for like ever, I can say he (Masa) is well trusted. Back in the days (like pre-4th grade), when my mom used to cut my hair, I wouldn't really care, but every so often when it was for school pictures, or I was pissed off my mom screwed up on my bowl cut...I'd go to him for the rescue! He always did an awesome job, very clean cut, he'd vacuum you clean, and he's also really nice! I got my haircut by Hilda. I told her I wanted short layers and to leave the length of my hair alone. I'm not much for small talk but she kept making conversation and rudely just "uh-huh" ing while I was answering her questions. She didn't know how to cut curly hair and ruined my curls by brushing them out dry. While I was satisfied with the layers she did, she cut more than 3 inches off my length. I got home and I was furious. My hair used to reach down to the small of my back and now its medium length. Not going back. It'll take me forever to grow this back out after years of carefully getting it to my original length. Worst haircut I've gotten. read more

Johnny is AMAZING! He did an amazing job on my hair & was super quick and thorough. I had my hair at a blunt length with no layers and (dummy me) thought I'd YouTube how to layer my hair. Nah-uh! Bad idea. Johnny cuts my Mother-In-Law's hair & with my old stylist moving out of state, I thought id finally take her advice & go see Johnny. Ive been going to this woman for years but this time she took it upon her self to cut my hair all the way to my shoulders even after asking me how much I wanted cut off.
