Went here for dinner. It is right next to the bar and you eat on their patio. I got mine to go. The flavor was good but the meat was definitely not tender. First time here & we got the Signature taco @ the Southwestern Taco. Super friendly and fast service & love that you can do beer tasting right there at the Whitestone Brewery. It's cool that you get to see the train as the view if you are seated outside. Our favorite was the signature taco. Will be back to try other menu items. read more

Great beer pairing super awesome to have them associated with Prost Alehouse after a long stay at Whitestone brewery for eight years. Prost has some excellent traditional beer offerings that you would normally have to drive into Austin to enjoy. The community of Pflugerville no longer has to make that trip. They can actually ride their bicycle to enjoy great beers and great food. They have everything from street tacos to hamburgers, fries, tater tots, street corn, Philly cheese to a pretzel with your beer! Food: The tacos lacked flavor, the sauces were disappointing and boring. You cannot have a good taco place experience without decent salsas. Service: Non-existent to rude. Ambiance: It's a taco truck in collaboration with the on-site brewery, so you can use the brewery's seating which is nice. You need to run, not walk to Van's Damn Tasty Tacos and Ronburgesas if you have not been. This place is an absolute hidden gem that I have been going to since they opened at Whitestone Brewery. Chad, Maxwell and everybody there are good people and take good care of you. Everything on the menu is great and it is consistent ever single time. If you like burgers the Ronburgesa will change your life. You like tacos? Their street tacos (my favorite is Pastor) are the best around. You like hot dogs? As the name says they are tasty tacos we had the pretzels and Austin dog as well and everything was terrific very good price for the amount of food you get. If I had to make one critique is that the sauce on the tacos was not spicy to me but I can't really knock them for it because everyone's spice tolerance is different would definitely eat again the Austin dog had a ton of flavor that toasted pretzel bun was fantastic would recommend everyone go enjoy some good food! read more

Damn tasty sounds so promising! I visited this food truck b/c it was at the Whitestone Brewery which is down the street from me. :) I really like their fries and queso. At this point I believe I have had everything on the menu. I have enjoyed everything and never had an issue with the food or the service. My goto is the Ron's dog. A Bacon wrapped dog covered in fresh pico and ranch cilantro. The street taco's are a nice choice for a lighter (than a bacon wrapped dog) choice. This place is ridiculously over priced. I asked the guy what he suggested since it was my first time and he said the BBQ burger was good, so I ordered it. For $8 bucks I ended up getting a small SINGLE patty burger (nothing else) smothered in bbq sauce and onion that was on gas station hamburger buns. The sauce was good but the patty and bun were a let down. The place is called Van's Damn Good Tacos AND RONBURGERS!!!! So I figured it would be waaaay better. Very disappointed. Jalaburgueso is the way to go! Amazing sauce, tons of jalapenos, burger cooked to perfection, and a subtle sweet hint to the bun. All for $7. The pretzel sticks are also a must, taste like a funnel cake pretzel from the fair. I'll be back. read more

Really sad about this place not living up to the hype. I had 3 things- beef tacos, patty melt, and the loaded tots. The beef tacos looked really good but the flavor just wasn't there. The bread on the patty melt was supposed to be toasted but it ended up being completely mushy due to the amount of butter they put on the bread. The tots were missing the queso, and overall the rest of the toppings didn't enhance or change the flavor at all. They basically just tasted like regular tots, so not worth $10. Also the prices at the truck are different than what they shown online. Spent $40 on these 3 things. read more

These are good street tacos by Austin standards, but they really could be amazing if they sourced some home made tortillas and used better sauce. They use thin flimsy mass produced tortillas. Think of Mission tortillas you get from HEB. You ever have an amazing burger? Notice how big of a difference the bun makes? Tacos are no different. You can't go with store bought tortillas and expect greatness. Their sauce is also a bit weird but you can ask for sauce on the side. It's some sort of weird yogurt/cucumber sauce. Just go with no sauce and add your own chipotle or habanero sauce with lime. read more

These guys got it going on! Vans Damn is now a staple at Whitestone brewery and hopefully, they will continue to be the house band er food truck for a long time. Their street tacos are about as authentic as it gets. My go to is the Al Pastor. If you really want to totally destroy your New Year's resolution go for their spiral cut curly fries. Everything is cooked to order so just relax and enjoy your Whitestone beer while you wait. Tacos, not your thing then order one of their special burgers. Yupper they are spicy and they can amp up the heat if you wish or even deliver a wimpy cheeseburger if you desire. They do have seasonal specials to coincide with Whitestone's event like during Octoberfest. Good guys with great pub food! read more

Got the vegan tacos and an order of tots. The lady who took my order was very nice and the food didn't take long to come out and it was hot. But, the tots weren't crispy and they just tasted like frozen store brand. Not worth $5 for an order. When I got the tacos I checked them and there was cheese under the top layer of food. I took them back and the cook didn't believe me at first. Ugh. He made them for me again and they were fine, nothing special. Obviously canned black beans with no seasoning, frozen corn with no seasoning, with pico and canned pickled jalapeños on top. They were spicy from the peppers, but not flavorful at all. When three of the five ingredients of a dish are canned or frozen and unseasoned, it's not gonna taste good. The non-vegan food looked pretty good if that's what you're into. Really big overstuffed burger kinda stuff. My sister got the fries which looked awesome (I didn't try because she got them with queso on). It's nice to have a vegan menu option, but please make it delicious. We have taste buds, too. read more

Alright, honestly the fact that they were kind enough to let us split the four taco requirement into two separate proteins was very enticing, and the actual flavor in the taco was very well executed, BUT I'm holding a tiny grudge because the sales guy didn't believe me when I told him the of the B52's recorded the Rocko's Modern Life theme song. 3 Stars for serving us less than warm queso. 1 Star for service. When I took it back, they guy didn't understand how it could be cold but we have gotten this multiple times with Jon issues. He told me to come back in 5 minutes for another cup as he was making a fresh batch. When I came back, he gave me half a cup. I asked why it was halved and he said"this is what I remember you bringing back to me." I advised he was absolutely wrong and we had only had the dip for 45 seconds and a couple dips before we said this is unacceptable. He filled it up but it was still not hot. It is not enjoyable to eat gummy/luke warm queso. This guy could care less though so .... AMAZING!!! Came to Whitestone Brewery for the first time and Van's Damn trailer was out by the porch so we decided to grab a quick bite. Sooooo good! Had their Quesadillas with Al Pastor, Street Taco's with Carne, and because we couldn't help ourselves the Taco Cheese Fries with Al Pastor. Everything was very flavorful and the portions were more than generous! Wish we could have tried more! read more
