Our Condo was well located in Downtown Vancouver, and easily walkable to Stanley Park, the West End, Gas Town, and places in-between. The Condo also had a nice view of the skyline and a nice living room to relax and take it all in. The unit was also clean and well appointed. There were a few "negatives": 1. The pool and gym require a walk over to the nearby Sheraton. We also found that with Uber, it's best to go over to Sheraton for pickup and drop off as the algorithm can't seem to comprehend 1080 Hornby Street. 2. Even with AC within this hot Vancouver week, the Condo was stuffy and required multiple fans to help with overall comfort. 3. This Condo had no balcony or other outdoor hangout option, other than finding a local park.

It was a quick check in and we were early but a room was ready. There are a few snacks for purchase, water refill, and tourist brochures. We headed down the ramp and towards the two elevators. For all the floors in the buildings, the elevators were pretty quick. We made our way to the 23rd floor to our apartment style hotel that we would be staying at for the next 5 nights. We entered and there was a washer and dryer, and a large closet that had the broom and a fan. I think the safe was also in the closet. The kitchen space was great to have a full sized fridge, stove, coffee maker, and lots of pots and pans and utensils. This was very convenient as we went to get groceries for breakfast every day. The seating area had a tv, and counter place for when we ate. It wasn't big and there was no dining table but it was sufficient. There was also a temperature control in this space. Both bedrooms were spacious with one having large windows with great views of downtown. The other room had a small window. There were 2 bathrooms, and one that was in the area of the smaller bedroom. The other bathroom was spacious. There's a parkade and it's secure requiring the room key to enter and exit, and also enter the elevator. We didn't have an issue to find a parking space during our stay. During our stay, they were were accommodating when we requested more coffee, paper towels, and laundry pods. The only complaints I have were that it could get noisy from all the sirens in the night, and that our bedroom could get cold at night. Otherwise, everything about this place was great! There's a games room with a ping pong table, pool table, and many books. The location was also great and convenient to be downtown.

I feel like usually Residence Inn are not…read morereally upgraded and modern but this one felt like it had just gone under a renovation and each of the rooms were extremely large. I also love the fact that they have a small kitchen which makes staying the hotel stay even better as you can store leftovers and what nots. The location is also fantastic as it is right next to Davie Street where there are a lot of restaurants and markets. The breakfast was very okay, standard continental breakfast. I will say that the oranges are quite sweet and the waffles had a bit of a mochi texture to it which is kind of interesting. I wasn't a big fan of the eggs as they were extremely runny but its kind of interesting they put steak sauce over it, maybe its a Canada thing? Oh and the breakfast is complimentary might I add. Overall, honestly what a great stay in Vancouver especially given the room size, amenities, and cleanliness. I will definitely come back to stay here if I'm ever back in the city.

The full-sized appliances and washer and dryer were a huge bonus. We did have a car, and initially finding where to park and how to get in was not intuitive. There is no lobby. You ring the buzzer and they will let you in to go down to an area in the parking garage. Once you have a card to get in, it was very convenient and we felt very safe all week. The staff is very helpful and there is someone available 24 hours/day. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathrooms are fine. There could have been a little more water pressure in the shower though. The addition of bathrobes was a nice touch. We used them every day. We were also able to connect to the TV with our Netflix app and catch up on some shows at night. The wi-fi is good; just be prepared to sign-in to it with your electronics every day. They have multiple bins for recycling, waste, compost etc., which we thought was great. Canada does a much better job of being thoughtful about the environment than the U.S, that's for sure! The location was perfect for getting anywhere in Vancouver. There is a grocery across the street, a liquor store very close, and multiple excellent restaurants within walking distance. The bike rental shops are across the street as well. Our favorite part of this boutique hotel was the rooftop area. We met some of the other patrons each night. There are two grills and multiple seating for dinners and games. It was lovely! We would definitely stay here again.

Extremely disappointing customer service experience…read more We went to the Big Bus Tours ticket counter by the waterfront in Vancouver because we thought we needed to purchase tickets there in order to do the Grouse Grind hike. We were unaware that we did not actually need to purchase these tickets. We told the employee that we wanted to do the Grouse Grind hike and he sold us tickets to Grouse Mountain. I asked him if the shuttle was free because I remembered it being free and he told me that it was included in the price of the ticket. Based on that conversation we purchased the tickets. We were charged $186 for two people. The amount sounded quite high to me so I looked it up afterward to make sure the price was correct. That's when I discovered that we did not actually need these tickets. The shuttle was free and we only needed a $20-per-person gondola ticket to come down. We immediately returned to the counter and asked for a refund but were refused and told to contact customer service. We were never told that the tickets were non-refundable. I contacted customer service as soon as we returned home from our vacation. I was then told that I should have contacted them the same day despite nobody at the ticket counter telling us this. I was also told their system showed that the tickets had been scanned. We did not scan or use them. We still have them in our Apple Wallet and had separately purchased the gondola tickets we actually needed to come down. I even offered to provide proof of that purchase. What was most frustrating was how the customer service representative handled the situation. Rather than acknowledging that there could have been a misunderstanding I was repeatedly told that their employees are very good at their jobs and know what they are doing. This made me feel like my account of the conversation was being dismissed and that I was being treated as though I was lying. I have now had to dispute the $186 charge with my credit card company because Big Bus Tours refused to resolve the issue. Being told the shuttle was included when it was actually free and then refusing to refund the unused tickets felt like a serious misrepresentation and was borderline fraudulent.
