Buttery, a bit of a kick but the most important thing is the amount of seafood that is packed in here! I ordered my dish with rice because the pan roast that I had in Vegas came with rice, typically. Ever spoon was so amazing! I will definitely be coming back for more. My husband ordered the cod fish and chips and he said that it was very moist. I stole a piece of fries and oh boy! So good! TLDR: Didn't receive a text when food was ready, received text after receiving food. Food was good and place worth checking out. Been meaning to check out Pan Roast in Portland but came across this while visiting some local friends and grabbing a bite at Oak Tree Station. Was super excited to try it out. My friends had ordered there before and told me that I'd receive a text when my order was ready. Put in the order for the seafood combo, entered in my mobile #, waited about 15-20 mins, verified with my friends that I should receive a text and then just decided to go check. When I got there there was no line. I asked about my order and after a bit of going through the orders that were in progress it was found by the chef/operator next to the take out window. Later after sitting down and enjoying the food I got a text that the food was ready. The food was good and staff was friendly. The rice scoop isn't enough to absorb all the soup but it was fine. The flavors all melded together in a creamy tomato based seafood soup. Definitely worth a try and it hit the spot on the breezy autumn day. I'd be curious how long others have waited for the same meal. In regard to the Oak Tree Station, there are plenty of options to choose from within the pod make it great for big groups. No wifi for kids tablets but a great open play area with fencing for kids to run around in. Bathrooms available indoor. Water fountain available but bring your own water bottles if you got kiddos as no establishment will give you cups unless you buy water bottles. Been advised to avoid on weekends as they get very busy and packed. read more

I've now been twice and brought different people with me and both groups loved it. I have only tried seafood combo (Shrimp, Clams, Crab, Lobster) pan roast, but when you find something you love, it's hard to switch it up. It's very filling (I've shared with someone on both visits). You are given the option for it to be served with garlic toast or rice, but I've opted for the toast both visits. Highly recommend on the cool autumn days. read more

Cod fish and chips! We checked out the Oak Street Station tonight and I opted for Pan Roast! This is beer battered, thicker batter type fish and chips. Not my favorite style of batter but overall this was not too thick, nice and crispy, not soggy at all. I wish they had regular fries or the kind with the skins on, the waffle fries were fine just not my personal favorite! I would definitely get this again. Ate here last night cuz my husband went once and loved it. He had their Lobster Cabonera and Lobster Roll. He raved about it being prob the best food cart at Oak Tree. We live in the neighborhood and have tried almost all the food carts at Oak Tree so I agreed to go there instead of Beaverton to eat at the new GEN Korean BBQ restaurant again. There were 2 other couples standing by us who asked about the food there and he convinced them to try it as it's very good and worth the price. Last night, my husband ordered the same thing again--Lobster Cabonera and Lobster Roll. I ordered the Halibut with Lemon Butter Cream Sauce pasta to share with my sweet, fish-loving 6-yr old son. I wanted to try one of their signature bisque soups but they were all out. We also ordered their fried oysters. Ohhh ehmmm geee.. my pasta was probably one of the best pasta dishes I've had in a VERY long time! I've been searching for that perfect pasta dish for a long time--something not heavy like many pasta dishes, but light and flavorable. The last time I found something like this was during my years flying around the country on a weekly basis for work. It had to have been probably 12 years ago. The halibut was cooked perfectly and the light butter cream sauce was amazing! My husband loved his food again and devoured it (both of them) within mins--literally! He was so excited to eat his food, he forgot to offer me a taste of his Lobster Cabonera! And I was enjoying my pasta so much, I regretfully forgot to ask for a taste of his--dammit! And most importantly, our son loved the Halibut pasta dish! As for the fried oysters, it was cooked perfectly. And the batter around it is deceiving as it looked thick but it was actually light when you bite into it. It was served with a cocktail sauce with a bit of a kick to it. As perfectly cooked as it was and the light batter, I wasn't feeling it but it's probably cuz it was served with fries. That's too much deep fried stuff in one dish for me. Some risotto or seasoned rice dish might've been better with it. I may have to agree with my husband that Pan Roast is probably one of the best food carts at Oak Tree Station. On our way out of the warm covered eating area where we sat enjoying our food, we passed the two couples that my husband convinced to try Pan Roast. They stopped him to thank him for his recommendation and tell him that they agreed with him--the food was amazing and it was prob one of the best food carts there! I am already craving that Halibut pasta dish again. Maybe I can convince my husband to go eat there again today--his treat, if course!! LOL.. Don't miss out and definitely make a stop at Pan Roast. I doubt you'll regret it. I haven't written a Yelp review in a looong time, but the food here was too good for me to not share it with the rest of you--enjoy! read more

The Pan Roast at Pan Roast is fantastic. It's very hearty (could feed two people with light/medium appetite). Crab was generous. Good level of spiciness. This was a clear winner of the three food trucks we tried on our first visit to Oak Tree Station. It was chilly outside, but the adjacent indoor food court was warm. Been twice now. The cod fish and chips are pretty good. The lobster pasta is really good, and I'm happily surprised, it's real lobster! Took friends the second trip, so 5 meals total, and no complaints. We will definitely go back. Oh my gosh! Everything we have ordered from Pan Roast has been amazing. We have had the lobster and crab rolls, the pan roast with crab, the crab bread... all so delicious. Lunch today was halibut fish and chips for my mom and she loves fish and chips, said this was some of the best, and she enjoyed how crispy the batter was (we had it delivered, so could have been a soggy mess). My husband had a bowl of clam chowder, and allowed me a single taste . It was so good! I had the crab bread and a salad. The salad was better than expected. I already knew I would love the crab bread, and I ate all 3 pieces instead of saving some for later. Pan Roast is a real gem and I believe they will be very successful serving some of the tastiest seafood around. read more

The first time I ate here in late June it was fabulous! I had the halibut fish and chips and it was cooked perfectly, a generous portion and delicious waffle fries. Fast forward to tonight Aug 31. After my first visit in June I was really looking forward to having the halibut again. Sadly tonight was so disappointing I'm not sure I would ever go back! The 2 pieces of fish were dry and tough and literally about 3/8" thick and maybe 4" long and about 2" wide - I'm being generous here!! It was soaked in oil and brown and burned outside, and tough as shoe leather inside. It was absolutely horrid. It should have been embarrassing for them to even serve that to someone! Honestly I should have taken it back and complained... but I hate to do that. They were not even busy with only one person ahead of me. It took forever to get served and clearly the people in the truck were not interested in what they were doing or shouldn't be working there. I hope the owner reads this review, because my meal in June was so delicious I couldn't wait to go back. Now, I'm not sure I would ever want to try it again. :( read more

I wrote this same review on Dining in the Couve. Grand opening for Pan Roast at Oak Tree Station food pods. We went around noon and plenty of parking. A nice breeze at outside tables. My husband and I have been looking forward to trying it. Has many seafood options. I had the lobster roll and my husband had the seafood combination signature pan roast with shrimp, clams, crab and lobster. This is a bisque with white wine. I am a spice weenie so was a bit too spicy for me but probably fine for the rest of the world. Generous amount of seafood in a large bowl. He chose to have bread instead of rice. He ate every last drop and was purring at the end of the bowl. It is a bit pricey but worth it. The lobster roll was not a standard roll with mayo but with a a garlic spiced butter. Plenty of smaller chunks of lobster. Again I am a spice weenie and just a tad too spicy for me but in spite of that ate every last bite. Great flavor. It came with waffle fries which I enjoyed. Looking forward to trying something else on the menu next time. I had no intention of rambling on and on but I do recommend trying this food cart. read more
