I have almost no pain or swelling what so ever! You will hear all kinds of horrible stories if you have to have this done. One I heard was I would have to sleep with my head over a trash can to let it drain. I could go on with them. Needless to say, if I did have any teeth left and it had to come out I would definitely go back to Dr. Starr do my work! I have had the pleasure to have one of the best dentistry my opinion help me when I needed the most!! If this had 10 stars Dr. Starr would get them all. The oral hygienists are super friendly, conscious, dextrous and caring. He was very gentle at pulling out a healthy tooth I didn't want anymore. He didn't recommend it but I hated the food getting stuck in there. He pulled it out with literally no pain or anything. Sometimes they clean your teeth with the water jet which signals every nerve in your body to sense pain but afterwards, it is worth it. I recommend this place 100% and I hate the orthodontist. I really like him because he's always straight to the point, very knowledgeable, and cool.

So, don't judge, but I had not been to the dentist in nearly two years, since I moved to Bloomington from California. I loved my dentist in California and so I took my time finding a dentist in Bloomington. (plus I just didn't want to go) Dr Arnold's reviews were glowing, and even though my partner has a different dentist here in B-town, I decided to try Dr Arnold based on Yelp reviews. The office is a bit hard to find if you aren't familiar with the Eastside of town. It is sort of behind the now-closed Marsh store, in a mini mall next to a dance studio and a waxing salon. Plenty of parking in the lot. Courtney was my hygienist today and she was wonderful. She listened to my ramblings about how much I hate the dentist. She was mellow and I felt like she gave my teeth a very thorough cleaning. She was just the right combination of quiet and talkative during the cleaning. (my hygienist in California was very chatty and it's hard to answer questions with sharp instruments in your mouth). There is a tv on the ceiling so you can watch while you have your cleaning. Courtney caught on fast that the show on the History channel was about mass murderers (not a very calming show) and she switched the channel to ESPN for me. Next Dr Arnold (Bill) came in and introduced himself. He was great. Very down to earth and approachable. We chatted a bit about California and then he began his exam. Again, great exam and he gave me advice about some tooth sensitivity I have been experiencing. Next appointment is six months from now and even though I will still be freaked out, I won't be AS freaked out. Definitely recommend. If you have been putting off a dental exam, go see Dr Arnold.

The prices are very fair & they don't encourage you to get procedures you don't need (my experience in the city.) I've liked different dental hygienists there & the Dentist Pat McMillian is great.

I would give negative stars if it was possible. Dr. Scott Powers did these denture implants (see…read morephotos). First the metal posts he implanted didn't stay, so he had to re-drill 4 of them. Then he tried to convince to use the temporary dentures instead of making the permanent ones that were already paid for. The permanent dentures that he eventually had made have broken and cracked several times. At least 8 teeth have fallen out (I've lost count). The implants come out by just using the tongue, no hands needed. Not even able to eat corn on the cobb. All of this in less than 5 years. I would not recommend Dr. Powers, check out his work and decide yourself.
