This review is overdue! I got my hair done recently by Vanessa and I was so pleased with the results. I have finally found my new go-to. This round I stayed with a face framing highlight and decided to go a bit darker in the back. She is incredibly efficient and very diligent. I had no damage whatsoever which has been a huge problem for me. The products she uses are top of the line and I was out of there in reasonable time. The vibe was impeccable and I felt very taken care of as she wasn't working on two other people at the same time as I have encountered in the past. She personally does the whole service which REALLY matters to me as I have had assistants fry my hair on two occasions now. My lift lowlight and lift came out PERFECT just in time for my trip to Europe. I am currently writing g this review on the train in London because I am so pleased every time I look in the mirror. I will be coming back again and again!!! The pricing was totally reasonable and she gives a referral discount...and I got a cut as well! This is important to me because I want to make sure I come in regularly. I recently went to a couple of other salons in MV right when I moved back and walked out unhappy even after paying $600 which is absolutely unacceptable. read more

This is a really bad hair salon! I had the worst experience. I bought the living social coupon for a brazilian blowout, which is $150. I went to get my hair straight, I followed all the instructions Vanessa gave me and the third day my hair was so frizzy and damaged after the treatment.. It wasn't nothing like brazilian blowout. Not straight at all. I was very unhappy with my result, and then I contacted Vanessa to fix the problem and went to her salon to show her my hair and she was sooo rude. First she told me that she will fix the problem until she got time, and as a customer I think it's important to receive the best treat because that's why you pay. Then I told her that I needed my money back and she just wanted to call the police on me and my mom yo leave the salon. Very unprofessional. I love this salon! It's small and charming. And Vanessa and Noelle are always warm and friendly. Vanessa has been doing my cut and color for a couple years now. She was able to fix my "home box job blonde." She brought it to a beautiful icy shade of light blonde put tons of soft layers in the cut. I also see her for my Brazillian Blowout ever 3 or 4 months. Which is always smooth, straight and shiny. Vanessa listens to me every time and if I don't know what I want she always takes the time to ask a few key questions to figure out what direction we are moving in. She really listens to what I want done and then offers great suggestions on how to make the style fit my lifestyle (i.e. not wanting to spend a lot of time styling it everyday). After reading reviews on Yelp, I chose Vanessa. I consider myself very lucky to have found such a perfect match for me! Although she uses a different product than my prior colorist, I was more than happy with the results. Due to the fact that it was her first time using her product on my hair, she took extra time to ensure that it would be perfect! Vanessa's cut my hair three times and it's always been great! She gave me bangs for the first time since I was a kid. And I always tell hairstylists to give me a cut that I don't need to fuss with or maintain (I'm too busy to style and I can't get my hair cut all the time). Vanessa first did my hair when she was at the Paul Mitchell Institute years ago. My most recent visit to her new salon (congratulations by the way!!) was on February 16th 2016. I had not been to her in a while because I do not live nearby anymore but was getting married on 2/20 so I needed my hair done by the best and made the long drive. My hair had been fried by other salons in my area and had to have been at least 4 different washed out looking colors when I saw Vanessa last month. My hair is also extremely long and thick. She fixed my hair up with out having to trim a lot off and my hair hasn't felt this healthy or looked this beautiful in a very long time. My hair looks gorgeous in my wedding photos. I receive compliments about my hair wherever I go thank to Vanessa's magic. The product she uses is top of the line and I really recommend the Davines shampoo, conditioner and deep conditioner she has in the salon. I had never heard of Davines besides thru Vanessa. My hair feels amazing and so healthy. I am going back next month for my 8 week appointment. I recommend Vanessa to everyone.
