I absolutely adore these ladies . I have been to both this one, and the one in Edmonds. They are helpful, professional, careful, and empathetic. They are also super careful to make sure that I know how to not damage my lashes and I know how to care for them. I get my eyebrows and face waxed. I had a Groupon for a shellac manicure. The first time I tried to book it was going to be nearly two weeks for an appointment, which was way too long to replace my current manicure. The next time I tried to schedule, I was asked for way more personal information than should be required. Following that, I was told that I needed to give a credit card number or I would not be able to schedule (an appointment is required to obtain the manicure). When I expressed concern about giving my credit card for a service that I had already paid for, the person said that is their policy and Groupon would refund me if I didn't like it. I went to look at the details and it does state that a credit card is necessary but thought that was for ordering an additional deal. Why would they require credit card info for a paid service? The best that Groupon would offer was a trade, not a refund as the person said. I had offered the deal to friends and coworkers, no takers given the unnecessary requirement for personal and credit card info. I recommend passing on offers from this place as long as they maintain this practice and have such limited availability. read more

I got a gel manicure here last week, the lady took her time, about an hour and a half, and I was happy with the result. The ladies working here are all very friendly, and the environment is super cute and comfortable. They even offer blankets for while you're getting your lashes done. With that being said, when I go to get my lashes done, none of that matters to me as much as the actual results of the lashes! I emphasized a million times I wanted my lashes as FULL as possible and that I would pay whatever amount for those results. I ended up with the thinnest lashes I've EVER received at the HIGHEST price I've ever paid. I was told that it is whatever amount of lashes can be held on my natural lashes, and I would normally accept that and move on, but I have had my lashes done by numerous lash technicians and never has that been the case. The lash lady I go to now even told me that my natural lashes are really full and able to hold a lot of lashes. Come to the professionals. When it comes to people gluing things onto my eyelashes (a semi-invasive process) I want to make sure the technician is clean, competent and confidence-inspiring. As soon as I walked into Vanity Lash Lounge (thanks to Groupon) I knew that this these were the experts. Even booking the appointment by phone, the receptionist is smart, knowledgeable and highly competent. As a new client you are asked to fill out a very lengthy form that allows them to tailor the experience and ensure it is safe for you. From there you are led to a very comfortable bed and the beauty part begins! I've been to other places where they try to sell you their products as you leave, and I was not given the hard sell at my first appointment. But I did decide anyway to buy their proprietary eyelash cleansing foam (in a black bottle) that was reasonably-priced ($10) and is AMAZING. They also sell fill packages to bring the prices down. I've seen both Ashley and Julia and they are very good at their jobs as well as nice women to chat with during my appointments. But mostly, I'm just happy to be in good hands at this place. Love coming to Vanity Lash Lounge. Getting my lashes done for a wedding in Hawaii and Kim really makes sure that they get done right. She's super friendly, always fun to talk to, and does her job amazingly well. I have gotten nothing but compliments on my lashes and she made sure that they were exactly what I was looking for. You can get I believe $5 off if you like them on Facebook or follow on Instagram, but that's only a one time thing. However the first time I came here it was because of a screaming deal they had on Groupon for a full starting set for $89. They prefer if you just mention that to them at the desk instead of actually buy the Groupon but it's a great deal! The only reason this is a 4/5 star review instead of 5 however, is once I went in and my normal lash aesthetician was booked, so I got another girl who was super sweet, but didn't do my lashes as well at all. They fell out quicker, were clumpier, and did not seem as long or natural as the other sets I've gotten. Maybe it was a one time thing, maybe it was just her being new, unclear, but that's why it's 4/5! **Update 5/17** Meghan, the owner of the store sent me a message thanking me for the feedback, and offering a complimentary fill to make up for the not so great one that I had previously. As previously mentioned, it is unfortunate this establishment does not believe in answering their phone. Tried calling during normal business hours on numerous occasions without any luck to schedule appointments. Yes, there is a leave a message option, but that's inconvenient at best. Second issue: the scheduling does not allow for much wiggle room. These guys are located in a busy area of Mill Creek and getting to an appointment, particularly after work, is an unpredictable challenge due to traffic. Being more than 5 minutes late forfeits your appointment and may result a charge on top of that. Since they do not answer the phone, you don't even have the option to call and let them know traffic has you stuck. I was hoping to use this place as a fill in when my regular amazing waxer of 8 years is away, but it's been a bit of a lost cause. This was my first time getting my lashes done here at Vanity. I booked with Larissa, she did a great job and I loved my lashes , they were perfect length and looked very natural. I've had lash extensions many times before at different places and had never experienced so much fall out as I did here, the very next day my lashes started falling out and by day 5 they were almost all gone, I would of came in for a refund or a refill but unfortunately I left on vacation the following day and could not come in.
