I ran into Tani from a lady who I stopped in the store and asked who her stylist was. It was Tani. I have been going to her for a 6 years now for she is the best in Vegas. Since I wanted human hair braids, I also sent a photo of bundles I bought from Amazon. There were no issues with the hair when I spoke to her. I paid a $50 deposit. Appointment Day: My appointment was at 9am, but she showed up a little before 9:30. No big deal. I went and got us both breakfast while waiting. She said the human hair isn't great quality, but she can use half synthetic hair and add human hair on the ends. After finishing the back row, she mentioned it's not a quick process and the cost would be $500 if she completed it that way. I declined and asked what could be done to resolve the issue. She suggested I go get the "Expressions" brand of hair that she started using from the beauty supply around the corner. I left, bought the hair, and returned. I then realized she was calmly complaining about the length of my hair and how she doesn't charge $300 for it. To avoid a poor job and dissatisfaction, I asked her what she charges for this length, and she said $400. I agreed to it, mainly because I drove all the way out there, and she had already started. I also noticed her discreetly stuffing the leftover hair. Next time, please ask if you can keep it. The synthetic hair she initially started using was hers, so I didn't complain. However, don't assume that taking the client's hair balances things out; just ask. I had to pay for that hair AND give you an extra $100. End Result: My hair looks nice (just not worth $400 in my opinion). I allowed her to take pictures of the hairstyle when asked. Just sharing my experience. The lady told me that the photo I initially sent of my real hair, compared to how it looked after a blowout, wasn't the same. That's strange. Maintain consistent prices to encourage repeat business from clients.

I waited a few days to write this review because I was really upset and wanted to calm down and make sure I wasn't being rash - but it's been two days and I'm extremely unhappy with this haircut. I told her that I specifically didn't want my top layers cut shorter - I really just wanted the bottom level blended up so my hair had some shape. That's it. I reiterated how long I had been growing my hair out and that I didn't want to take away length. (I spent over two heard growing my hair out after having to chop it all off.) My hair is SO much shorter now - and the actual cut is NOT good. It's okay (not great) for wearing curly but I told her specifically that I needed to be able to wear it both straight and curly. I washed and straightened it today and it looks AWFUL. Like, truly terrible. There are random long pieces of hair and the back is so thinned out that it just looks scraggly. It's not just my opinion - I asked my (very honest) friends and they all agreed. Even more than the bad cut, I felt very frustrated when I was in the chair because every time I tried to explain what I wanted, it felt like she wouldn't let me talk - she'd start into a story about someone or something else. I tried explaining several times that my hair was a lot curlier than it looked, because I had pulled it back to work out. I also explained that I straighten my hair a LOT and it was really important that it looked good straight as well. It's like she didn't hear anything I said. Most stylists spend the first 5-10 minutes just listening to the client about what they want. I didn't get that chance. She mentioned several times that she is very artistic and doesn't follow a specific guideline for cutting hair - I probably should have just left but I read all the reviews and thought she had magical powers. I know that it's "just hair" and that it will grow back, but it's a service I paid for - and I'm very frustrated with what I received. I had to go to ANOTHER salon and pay for a second haircut just to fix it. The pic you see here is after I had straightened and curled it at home...you can see the weird rat tail and random long pieces of hair.
