Well... First off let me say that I'm absolutely elated that I have found a salon that knows how to do a proper install for a weave. I have been in Nevada going on 6 years and I don't mean this lightly, The salon is just what I have been looking for since moving from the bay area!! It reminds me of some of the shops back in the bay so that was comforting. After today's visit, it is well worth the 35 minute drive across town to know my natural hair will be given some TLC and that sew in will be LAYED. I love how quickly but beautifully, Jay did my hair. I had a previous sew in from hell and Jay took that hair out with a quickness and gave my scalp and hair the treatment it so desperately needed. I struggle with psoriasis and a flaky scalp so the shampoo and scratching of my scalp was a dream. While my hair was being washed and deep conditioned, the hair that was taken out was being washed and then placed in a hair dryer but another stylist. I really appreciated the care in the hair that cost me a pretty penny. What really did it for me was putting the light oil that smelled like tea tree on my scalp. That tells me the salon actually cares about the growth and care of natural hair, not just slapping on hair and pushing customers out the door. My hair turned out just like I wanted and I couldn't be happier!! My only gripe is that they don't allow you to have anyone with you to hang out in the waiting area, which is nice to have when you need a little lunch or snack after being in the chair so long. probably due to COVID changes and such, but it's nice be able to have the company of someone familiar as well, especially if you're more on the quiet side and not super talkative with people that you don't know well. So I spent most of my time in the chair sleeping or scrolling through tik toks. I would recommend 10/10. read more

I recently missed my flight at the airport, googled nearby hair salons, and saw one about 13 minutes from the airport called "Weave-A- Divas." Jeffrey was a breathe of fresh air. Not only did he handle my head with care, but he did the best weave job I have ever had in my life. I am from California but I've had the same hair stylist for over 5 years. I must admit... I gotta quit seeing her now. I love my new hair (only $99 for a bundle of virgin human hair) At first I overlooked the salon because the door was open and I couldn't read the sign on the front of the door, but it's right next to the barbershop in the parking lot if you're using gps. Came here because my friend referred me to Fay. So I called and made my appointment: nice and easy transaction. Since I'm a first time customer, I was asked to fill out general information about myself as well as what hair style and package I desired. They listed the rules of the shop such as: no men or children allowed unless serviced and how they are not responsible for persons with tender heads. After signing, I got braided up pretty quick by the braider named Tierra (I think that's her name). She didn't braid too tight and whether you have thick hair or not, they do add hair while braiding. Not sure why The shop is painted purple and average looking. Nothing modern and upgraded, but it's not a hole in the wall either. The beauticians have their licences posted near their station. So Fay is licenced. I'm always looking for licensure in places! I had to wait a while (like at least 45 mins) for Fay because she was still with her client before me. I wasn't in a rush so i wasn't too inconvenienced. I got the $60 package (Countess) and since I brought in used hair, it was an extra $25. This, I was already aware of so my total was as expected: $85. Fay did my hair pretty quick. She has a wonderful personality and I enjoyed her company. I was at the shop for a good 3 hours. As for the actually sew in, It's definitely $65 quality. There are a few lumps around the edges, but nobody gon be touching my head, so I really don't care. I've had way better sew ins, but I've also paid much more and those were for two very special events. Since I'm not going anywhere special enough to pay crazy prices, the price here was prefect for exactly what I needed. read more

Where do I start... I sent pics and descriptions of exactly what I wanted and I wanted the best quality hair. I wanted blonde with roots like "oops! I'm not a natural blonde, hehe" and not "I haven't gotten a touch up in 6mths". The owner who did the coloring messed up and wanted to only recolor some of the tracks and not all. Then told me that the hair couldn't get to the color I wanted. She knew the hair wouldn't go lighter cause I bought the hair from their shop! She tried to talk me into one of the blonde wigs but all the wigs on that wall wouldn't have been worth what I paid for the extensions quality wise. The first install was glued directly on my hairline, last install not completely glued down today. Refused to give a paper itemized receipt, had to get police involved. Got the money back from the terrible dye job but this will be I civil matter. This salon is absolutely not worth the money they charge and the 2 stylists and owner are all very unprofessional and not good at their jobs at all. 3 visits in 2wks and they had the audacity to be upset I didn't tip on the subsequent 2 visits to fix their mistakes. They kept some of my bundles cause my hair isn't as full and a lot less leftover. $830. And all they refunded was the color charge. They should have refunded me my deposit cause I wouldn't have went there if they just admitted they couldn't do what I wanted. They should be ashamed. Do yourself a favor and get your hair done elsewhere, this isn't the first issue like this from this shop. read more

Easy to talk to and started my hair right on time. They provide 100% virgin Malaysian hair and you can tell them a day before your appt if you want it dyed or not. You can also bring in your hair if you want. I paid $250 for 2 bundles, cut, style and full sew in all together. Sasha was my girl! She also makes wigs too. Just got my first full head weave and it took less than 2 hours and was perfect! Slayed. I don't get why people are saying they were hurt. I am a tenderheaded person. I don't even like blow drying my hair and have had my hair braided since I was young. I've had my hair braided by 2 of the 3 stylists and never had any issue. They are quick and it doesn feel like they are grabbing your scalp. Anyone who thinks they braid tight maybe shouldn't get their hair braided at all. First, I want to say that I immediately fell in love with my bob weave ($250 Duchess package, which includes the install of (14,14in) virgin Malaysian). When Sasha finished my hair and turn me around in the chair, I was very happy with the finished product (this was on a Thursday) . On Wednesday night (a week later) my head started to itch like crazy, but I thought to myself "this is the life of wearing weaves". However, on Thursday night, my head was itching again and at this point it was an unbearable pain that went along with the itching. I was really worried and wondering what the problem could have been (definitely not the common weave itching). So, Friday, morning I looked up possible causes for the itching and the pain I was feeling. I found that braid hair can sometimes cause allergies if it is not clean. So, I went to Weave A Diva that morning to consult with the stylist with hope that someone can give me insight and maybe solve the problem that I was having ( severe itching and pain to touch). I was told initially "well weaves itch" (really at this point I new customer service wasn't their strong suit). Then I was advised to see a dermatologist because she had never heard of this before. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and considered it , but I couldn't help to think of the many braids and weaves I've had in the past ( I've never had this issue). I was curious as to what kind of product they put in my head. So, I asked what kind of braid hair they used, she told me kanekalon hair ( yea, I figured that) I had to ask to see the package. She then suggested I try washing my hair because again she's never heard of what I was talking about and maybe it could be the net, hair or I'm allergic and /or try to spray my scalp or wash my hair. So, I asked her to look at my scalp she did and told me she didn't see anything through the net. I couldn't help but think ( your the cosmetologist ask me to look at my scalp and/ or offer to take it down to figure out the irritants, Right?). There was nothing more offered. I went ahead and asked if they would wash it for free, considering it could be the products they used causing the irritant ( she said it) The answers was no. Then the manager offered to wash my hair for free, but charge me $25 to style my hair again. I agreed as I couldn't wait to get some relief. The manager washed my hair and was attentive to what I was feeling though out that process. However, I had my hair styled by another stylist which was very unexpected and honestly my hair didn't look as good as it did initially or even when I came in that day. Any how, the itching ceased for a couple of hours. I was literally afraid to touch, sleep or wear anything On my head. I had a trip to California already planned, so I went on the trip and had to bare with the irritation. As soon as I got back. I had my aunt take out my weave. You won't believe the matted mess of whisker that was found along the weft of the hair that was underneath the beauty of such a great hair style. I knew immediately that this was not virgin Malaysian hair. I was relieved and my scalp no longer itched nor did I have pain ( see pics for details). The weft of the weave had long spiky, matted and course hairs that stuck out like cactus prongs from the track causing an irritation to my scalp. To make a long story short (lol) I went to Weave A Diva, to inform them of the non quality hair that was put in my head ( I'm sure they new) and to ask for a reimbursement as this was an at least 6 week investment that didn't last over a 1 week due to the irritation it caused. I was told "you supposed to comb out that part of the weft" (wow that's a new one) and " we don't do refunds". Not surprised ($250 lost, oh well)but, Ladies and Gentle Men PLEASE BEWARE...HORRIBLE PRODUCTS AND LACK OF CUSTOMER APPRECIATION AND SERVICE!!! I'm going to start going back to California for my weave installs. I won't be swindled there... Lol! read more

Braids were way to tight , I went in not knowing a thing about weave or sew ins or anything at all and I paid $650 for 22 inch Malaysian to be sewed in with non of my real hair showing . I couldn't last a full week because the braids were so tight I had gotten soars all around my scalp and in my part my skin had actually ripped apart creating a cut in my part. Also my braids in the back were showing and on my sides in the front. I went in to get it removed told them all my issues and they just took it out the one stylist suggested I just had a sensitive scalp and they gave me my hair and sent me away with no style on Valentine's Day!!. I paid $650 for Malaysian hair that 1. Stinks and for tons of the little real hair I had left to fall out and soars in my head from braids that were way to tight. So thanks. I was referred by a co worker of mine to get a sew in done here. So i took a break from work to call and make an appointment.. the man that answered had a bad attitude. I begin to tell him I heard about their $60 sew in, air then told him I'm bringing my own hair so he said it's going to be $99. I started to ask why and he cut me off to say "well do you want us to cut the tracks you have? That's the only way it'll be $60" . I didn't want to argue so I was okay with paying $99 upon arrival. He then told me there's a $20 deposit required and I'd have to click a link in my email in order to pay and the link is only valid one hour. Again, all of this is being said with a condescending tone of voice. So after we get off the phone, my phone dies before I can get into my email. As soon as I got off I checked my email (an hour and a half later) and I read an email saying the appointment was cancelled because I didn't pay the $20. I explained to them my phone has died and the guy who I believe I was on the phone with responded saying " the 3pm slot has been taken so you'll have to schedule something for next week" wow. So disappointing, also My co worker told me she's never had to pay a deposit. I definitely won't be giving them any business in the future, horrible customer service. I was referred to this shop a few years ago from a coworker. I wanted a full sew In with a closure. I showed them what I wanted and the stylist agreed that it was something she could do. I brought 3 bundles and a closure ( everyone knows you need at Least 3 bundles for a full head) she finished my hair quickly and when I looked in the mirror I was horrified! She didn't get the color right and only used 2 bundles. It looked like amateur hour 101 my foundation was bulky spaced out braids. My wefts were also spaced out and thin. The closure was the WORST! She put some glue on my forehead and pulled the closure up like a cap, it raised immediately with white residue left behind. I told them I wasn't happy and she said come back in a week like whaaaa? I just took it as a lesson learned and NEVER went back. Weave scene on jones however was amazing they could definitely teach these ladies how to do a "PROPER" weave read more

This was the most awful experience of my life. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I went in for a weave and I asked to have layers put into my weave. 4 days later I noticed flakes in my hair and when I began to comb the flakes I noticed that all of my leave-out was as short as bangs.. The stylist Faye had cut my hair!! I immediately called to find out why over 4 inches of my hair had been cut off without my knowledge or consent and I was greeted horribly by Crystal the shops owner who was nonchalant about the whole situation. "well what do you want me to do about it" was her GHETTO response. I asked why my hair had been cut, she claimed it was probably "accidental". WOW.. I went in with long hair to get a protective style, I trusted them. I walked out with my hair a short mess. Steer clear of these people who are ghetto and jealous of people with hair. read more

Terrible, disappointing, sad, painful, mediocre - oh, and again painful!! If you want to go bald and suffer from tension alopecia, this is the place to go. There were a couple of ladies in the shop whose hairlines were like swiss cheese...which made me vow not to return IN ADDITION to the horrible experience I had. I should note that I am not a regular customer. I should have looked at the other negative reviews posted here on Yelp before heading into this establishment. I told the stylist repeatedly that I was a bit tender headed when she was braiding and she never adjusted her tension. I even held onto the hair around my temples and sides to try and prevent extra pulling and tugging while she was working. The receptionist even turned around and asked if I was ok, and when I shared what the issue was she just turned around in a very nonchalant fashion. These women do not care about protecting the health of their clients' hair. They seem to think a business model of pushing a $60 weave (although I paid much more and brought my own hair) and rushing to get the job done quickly is sustainable over the long haul. But if they treated their clients more professionally and actually cared for the health of the hair in a consultative and personalized fashion, they would find they could cater to people willing to pay much more for much better results. read more

If I could give a zero star I would. First of all let me start off with the receptionist, if you're not happy with your job you should not be at the front desk. You do not have any customer service skills, no smile and no pleasant tone. I came in to get the $60 so in the hair that I had was new I installed it Took it out the same day so the next day which is today I went in to get it done right and was told I have to pay $99 because it was used it was not cut or nothing and I asked the receptionist if she can make a one time exception because the hair was like new and not cut. It wasn't even in a full three hours. In providing customer service you should handle policies on a case by case basis not enforce it when it's obvious the hair was basically new. I I would never referral anyone there again only person that you got a nice good spirit is Shante everybody els is so dry in that shop and I will followers know this place is horrible period read more

I tried this shop out back in February and was really excited about it because I had been following them on Facebook for a while and their reasonable prices, and gorgeous hairstyles was what caught my eye. It was around the time of my birthday so I wanted to do something nice for myself. The girls were very nice and the atmosphere was quite positive. My hairdresser was Faye. I had purchased what was then their Princess Package, which included 3 bundles of 18" hair, installed with a hair net, cut and styled any way I preferred for I believe $325. I felt like that was a steal. We started right on time, and service was conveniently fast. I left the salon that day, looking and feeling amazing. My hair looked great. I even tipped Faye $20 I was that satisfied. I would say almost immediately I started experiencing tangling with the hair that I bought from them. The same day I got it done. I didn't pay it much attention because sometimes that's normal with a new batch of hair. I was really good about wrapping it every night and taking care of the hair the way I was supposed to but it seemed to gradually get worse through the days... The tangling got worse to the point where I was constantly brushing it out throughout the day to keep it looking somewhat normal or else I would have this tangled nest sitting on the back of my neck. Even regular washing and deep conditioning didn't help. The hair would immediately knot up once it was wet. This hair was no better than a $20 pack that you could buy from the beauty supply store. I would say about 3 weeks later I looked back at the website and noticed they changed their packages and the hair that came with them. Another thing I experienced in the weeks that I had this hair was the sewn in wefts becoming looser to the point where I had to add a bit of hair glue to a couple pieces so they wouldn't show or stick out. And something in the sewing and braiding technique my edges could not handle... I could feel the strands along my edges being pulled out and did experience a significant amount of hair loss along my edges. So needless to say, I will not be going back for a sew-in. I did recommend them to someone else early on who was also not very impressed after the first couple weeks of the installment. They do provide other services such as nails and eyelashes... I may use them to dye some of my own bought hair. Maybe. But most likely will not go back at all. They do have a lot of very satisfied regulars so maybe they'll be good for others reading this review right now. But I've experienced enough for the first time to be my only time. read more
