Came here because my friend referred me to Fay. So I called and made my appointment: nice and easy transaction. Since I'm a first time customer, I was asked to fill out general information about myself as well as what hair style and package I desired. They listed the rules of the shop such as: no men or children allowed unless serviced and how they are not responsible for persons with tender heads. After signing, I got braided up pretty quick by the braider named Tierra (I think that's her name). She didn't braid too tight and whether you have thick hair or not, they do add hair while braiding. Not sure why The shop is painted purple and average looking. Nothing modern and upgraded, but it's not a hole in the wall either. The beauticians have their licences posted near their station. So Fay is licenced. I'm always looking for licensure in places! I had to wait a while (like at least 45 mins) for Fay because she was still with her client before me. I wasn't in a rush so i wasn't too inconvenienced. I got the $60 package (Countess) and since I brought in used hair, it was an extra $25. This, I was already aware of so my total was as expected: $85. Fay did my hair pretty quick. She has a wonderful personality and I enjoyed her company. I was at the shop for a good 3 hours. As for the actually sew in, It's definitely $65 quality. There are a few lumps around the edges, but nobody gon be touching my head, so I really don't care. I've had way better sew ins, but I've also paid much more and those were for two very special events. Since I'm not going anywhere special enough to pay crazy prices, the price here was prefect for exactly what I needed.

Yes, Crystal, you are correct. I am sorry that our schedules conflicted. I do still love your team and think very highly of them. I will continue to overall promote you in the future and hope to visit you into future. Kind Regards, E. Stanley, J.D.

My last (and final) visit. Jason didn't even glue everything, and the closure had patches missing from them having to redo it 2x.

Where do I start... I sent pics and descriptions of exactly what I wanted and I wanted the best quality hair. I wanted blonde with roots like "oops! I'm not a natural blonde, hehe" and not "I haven't gotten a touch up in 6mths". The owner who did the coloring messed up and wanted to only recolor some of the tracks and not all. Then told me that the hair couldn't get to the color I wanted. She knew the hair wouldn't go lighter cause I bought the hair from their shop! She tried to talk me into one of the blonde wigs but all the wigs on that wall wouldn't have been worth what I paid for the extensions quality wise. The first install was glued directly on my hairline, last install not completely glued down today. Refused to give a paper itemized receipt, had to get police involved. Got the money back from the terrible dye job but this will be I civil matter. This salon is absolutely not worth the money they charge and the 2 stylists and owner are all very unprofessional and not good at their jobs at all. 3 visits in 2wks and they had the audacity to be upset I didn't tip on the subsequent 2 visits to fix their mistakes. They kept some of my bundles cause my hair isn't as full and a lot less leftover. $830. And all they refunded was the color charge. They should have refunded me my deposit cause I wouldn't have went there if they just admitted they couldn't do what I wanted. They should be ashamed. Do yourself a favor and get your hair done elsewhere, this isn't the first issue like this from this shop.

The hair was 16" & Jason cut it in layers for me.

Sasha ALWAYS slays my hair! She is attentive, gentle and extremely knowledgeable. Whenever I have questions regarding styling, or maintenance she lets me know without making me feel insecure about my inquiries. I have been a client for a year now and seriously will not even consider anyone else touching my mane.

Fay did her thing! Love it!!!

Sooooo I moved from Vegas years ago!! Just moved back and made an appointment, didn't request anyone specific as I was getting braids this time (last time I got a weave) when I got there I was with my girl Faye!! I knew it was fate!! As usual I wasn't disappointed at all and honestly I knew I was in for a treat!! Thanks Faye, this is my birthday hairstyle and I LOVE!! Weave A Divas is the spot and Faye is the business!! Like other have said she's so sweet and nice!! Thank you!!

16 inches of virgin Malaysian hair! *does hair flip*
    Sylvia O.

The only reason I'm not giving this place 5 starts is because I haven't had my weave in long enough (5 days) to see how long the sew in lasts. With that being said, they do call and send an email reminder the day before your appt which I love. The salon is spacious inside and the girls are awesome. Easy to talk to and started my hair right on time. They provide 100% virgin Malaysian hair and you can tell them a day before your appt if you want it dyed or not. You can also bring in your hair if you want. I paid $250 for 2 bundles, cut, style and full sew in all together. Sasha was my girl! She also makes wigs too. From braid to finish it took about 2.5 hours which was faster than I expected. I went from 4 inches of hair to 16 in a day :-) If it lasts long, I will definitely be coming back.

Beware....Do not buy the hair from them. It is not Virgin Malaysian hair! This is fake hair!!!
    Sharie N.

First, I want to say that I immediately fell in love with my bob weave ($250 Duchess package, which includes the install of (14,14in) virgin Malaysian). When Sasha finished my hair and turn me around in the chair, I was very happy with the finished product (this was on a Thursday) . On Wednesday night (a week later) my head started to itch like crazy, but I thought to myself "this is the life of wearing weaves". However, on Thursday night, my head was itching again and at this point it was an unbearable pain that went along with the itching. I was really worried and wondering what the problem could have been (definitely not the common weave itching). So, Friday, morning I looked up possible causes for the itching and the pain I was feeling. I found that braid hair can sometimes cause allergies if it is not clean. So, I went to Weave A Diva that morning to consult with the stylist with hope that someone can give me insight and maybe solve the problem that I was having ( severe itching and pain to touch). I was told initially "well weaves itch" (really at this point I new customer service wasn't their strong suit). Then I was advised to see a dermatologist because she had never heard of this before. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and considered it , but I couldn't help to think of the many braids and weaves I've had in the past ( I've never had this issue). I was curious as to what kind of product they put in my head. So, I asked what kind of braid hair they used, she told me kanekalon hair ( yea, I figured that) I had to ask to see the package. She then suggested I try washing my hair because again she's never heard of what I was talking about and maybe it could be the net, hair or I'm allergic and /or try to spray my scalp or wash my hair. So, I asked her to look at my scalp she did and told me she didn't see anything through the net. I couldn't help but think ( your the cosmetologist ask me to look at my scalp and/ or offer to take it down to figure out the irritants, Right?). There was nothing more offered. I went ahead and asked if they would wash it for free, considering it could be the products they used causing the irritant ( she said it) The answers was no. Then the manager offered to wash my hair for free, but charge me $25 to style my hair again. I agreed as I couldn't wait to get some relief. The manager washed my hair and was attentive to what I was feeling though out that process. However, I had my hair styled by another stylist which was very unexpected and honestly my hair didn't look as good as it did initially or even when I came in that day. Any how, the itching ceased for a couple of hours. I was literally afraid to touch, sleep or wear anything On my head. I had a trip to California already planned, so I went on the trip and had to bare with the irritation. As soon as I got back. I had my aunt take out my weave. You won't believe the matted mess of whisker that was found along the weft of the hair that was underneath the beauty of such a great hair style. I knew immediately that this was not virgin Malaysian hair. I was relieved and my scalp no longer itched nor did I have pain ( see pics for details). The weft of the weave had long spiky, matted and course hairs that stuck out like cactus prongs from the track causing an irritation to my scalp. To make a long story short (lol) I went to Weave A Diva, to inform them of the non quality hair that was put in my head ( I'm sure they new) and to ask for a reimbursement as this was an at least 6 week investment that didn't last over a 1 week due to the irritation it caused. I was told "you supposed to comb out that part of the weft" (wow that's a new one) and " we don't do refunds". Not surprised ($250 lost, oh well)but, Ladies and Gentle Men PLEASE BEWARE...HORRIBLE PRODUCTS AND LACK OF CUSTOMER APPRECIATION AND SERVICE!!! I'm going to start going back to California for my weave installs. I won't be swindled there... Lol!

Braids were way to tight , I went in not knowing a thing about weave or sew ins or anything at all and I paid $650 for 22 inch Malaysian to be sewed in with non of my real hair showing . I couldn't last a full week because the braids were so tight I had gotten soars all around my scalp and in my part my skin had actually ripped apart creating a cut in my part. Also my braids in the back were showing and on my sides in the front. I went in to get it removed told them all my issues and they just took it out the one stylist suggested I just had a sensitive scalp and they gave me my hair and sent me away with no style on Valentine's Day!!. I paid $650 for Malaysian hair that 1. Stinks and for tons of the little real hair I had left to fall out and soars in my head from braids that were way to tight. So thanks. That's my first experience with weave ....

My stylist did a great job with my haircut, and I could tell she's efficient and experienced. That said, I did run into an issue with the color service. The dye left visible staining along my hairline, temples/sideburn area, and behind my ears, which I wasn't informed about until after everything was done and I saw it in the mirror. The stylist did try to remove it, but it didn't come off easily, so I left with noticeable staining on my skin. I understand that things can happen, especially with different products, but I do wish there had been more communication in the moment and a more thorough final check/cleanup before I left the salon, especially since the staining was visible in multiple areas. Unfortunately, I'm not very comfortable waiting for it to fade on its own, and I'm also not inclined to return for a future service. Overall, I think this place has a lot going for it, but I hope they can improve the finishing process and post-service support so clients don't leave with unexpected issues. UPDATE: (response to Business Owner response) Thank you for the response, Emily. I appreciate you taking the feedback into consideration. I understand that staining can sometimes happen, but my concern was more around the visibility in multiple areas and that it wasn't fully addressed before I left. I've had my hair colored many times in the past and haven't experienced this level of staining, which is why it stood out to me. I'm glad to hear you'll be focusing on improving the final check and communication moving forward.

I tend to write more detailed reviews about hair salons because my hair has always been a big deal for me. I have very curly, frizzy, coarse hair that tends to puff up and look much fuller than it actually is. It is definitely not the kind of curly hair that naturally falls into pretty, defined curls. Without blow-drying or straightening, it can get very unruly and hard to manage. I have been dealing with this hair for decades, so I have had more haircuts, blowouts, straightening treatments, and salon visits than I can count. Because of that, I can usually tell when someone really understands how to work with difficult curly hair. I wore short hair when I was younger, but after a bad experience, I avoided it for decades. About six months to a year ago, I decided to try a bob again. At first, I felt like the only way I could really manage it was by getting a straightening treatment about every six months. Since I also color my hair, I did not want to keep combining coloring and chemical straightening because of the damage it can cause over time. I decided to keep coloring my hair and stop the straightening treatments. Once more of my natural curl started growing back, though, the bob became harder and harder for me to manage. I was honestly starting to think I might have to give up on short hair and grow it out again. That was around the time I found this salon. What has impressed me most is how much easier my bob has been to manage since coming here, even without going back to regular straightening treatments. I am not especially skilled at styling my own hair, but after shampooing, I can now blow-dry and straighten it at home much more easily. The cut itself makes a huge difference. It also grows out really well, which is one of the main reasons I keep coming back. -- What really stands out to me is how well Risa listens. -- At every visit, she takes the time to ask how my previous haircut worked for me, what I liked, and whether there is anything I would like to change. I really appreciate that she listens to my feedback instead of simply repeating the same cut. I loved the shape of my last bob, but the back had been cut very short with clippers. Because my hair is coarse and pretty stiff, those very short hairs felt uncomfortable against the back of my neck as they grew out. Since I had not worn my hair this short in decades, I simply did not know my hair would react that way. I mentioned it to Risa, and this time she adjusted the cut and used mainly scissors and thinning shears instead of cutting the back so closely with clippers. I really appreciated that she listened to both what I liked about the previous cut and what I wanted changed. Most importantly, I love my bob again. The shape is clean, balanced, flattering, and very easy for me to manage. I also enjoyed the shampoo service. The brief scalp massage felt really relaxing and refreshing, and the salon itself always has a calm, comfortable atmosphere. My husband had his haircut again too, and his cut came out clean and polished, just like the previous visits. After three visits, it definitely does not feel like we simply got lucky once. The results have been consistently good for both of us. For me, a haircut that grows out well and stays manageable for two or three months, sometimes close to four, is absolutely worth the investment. Being able to maintain my bob this easily without relying on regular straightening treatments makes it even more valuable. That is why I keep coming back, and why I take the time to leave reviews. After our third visit, I feel even more confident recommending Risa.

For me it was about $80 for a wolf cut and $600 for a full bleach and colors for me. I only did the haircut for now, as the color price was way too much out of my budget. After the message, I did the booking online at their website, which was pretty simple to do, and the deposit was only $30. I came in and was greeted by someone right away and led to the back to get a robe on over my clothes and then right away to the shampooing station. Then hop on to the salon chair. I showed my stylist the inspo pictures I wanted, and he got to cutting right away. Now, I'm painfully shy, and I've usually been to other salons where everyone is talking and the stylists are chatty, but here it is super quiet. So it wasn't a good salon for me, as I find it hard to speak up unless spoken to first, but everyone was nice, and the haircut was fine and pretty fast. If you want a quick and quiet haircut for a decent price, I would go here.

I genuinely do not understand how this salon has such high ratings…read more As a first-time client, I arrived 15 minutes early for my 2:00 p.m. appointment. My "senior stylist," Evelyn, wasn't available until 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. During that wait, I was offered water once, but I repeatedly had to ask how much longer it would be because the staff kept saying "soon" without giving me any actual estimate. When the appointment finally started, I showed Evelyn a reference photo and clearly explained my daily hair routine. I told her I don't use styling products, don't heat style my hair, and simply wash it and let it air dry. Instead of cutting my hair to suit that lifestyle, she used texturizing products and spent a significant amount of time styling it. I even mentioned that I would never recreate that styling at home because it isn't part of my routine. The finished haircut looked nothing like the reference photo. At the time, the heavy styling disguised just how bad the cut actually was. The salon gave me a $20 new-client discount, and I specifically told them to apply that amount toward the stylist's tip. Instead, they processed a separate $21.18 tip. While it's not the biggest issue in this experience, it was not what I authorized. The real disaster became apparent after I washed my hair at home. The styling products had been hiding an incredibly poor haircut. The layers are uneven and completely unblended. There are obvious chunks of hair missing, and the entire cut sits lopsided. It is nothing like what I requested or what I was shown in the mirror after it had been heavily styled. I'm now left with a haircut that is genuinely embarrassing to wear and will likely require another stylist to spend months correcting. Between the excessive wait, poor communication, unauthorized tip charge, and one of the worst haircuts I've ever received, this was an incredibly disappointing experience. I absolutely cannot recommend this salon.
