I got my dear little Bean (aka Dobby) from here and I'm glad I did. Nassar and Betsy were SUPER helpful and answered all of my questions. When I went to pick him up, Nassar spent almost an hour going over every detail with me, which I appreciated so much. And when our new pup was having a bit of a hard time adjusting and not eating, Nassar literally drove Bean's best friend from Queens to Suffolk County!, to spend the weekend and help lift his mood and to encourage him to eat. I literally cannot say enough good things about this place! My pup had all of his vaccines and my vet said he was very healthy. If I ever get another puppy it will be from Nassar and only Nassar.

wish i could rate less.. i brought in my NONMATTED pomsky for a bath and trim and 20 minutes later they called me saying he needed to be shaved , i then said NOT to do so and that i would come pick him up and not to touch him. i said i do not consent to this he is my dog do not touch him. I then pick him up and he is half shaved and left botched. I never signed any waiver that they claimed i did. Needless to say i am heartbroken and furious. They touched my dogs hair against my will. I should sue..

I love coming here to get my dog groomed. Alex is a so helpful and she is so knowledgeable about dog groomers and knowing what best for my puppy, I've been coming here for a while and have seen the changes this place has made FOR THE BETTER ! Amazing new staff !! Love all that they do ! This place really cares and you can't get this type of care, compassion & patience at any big company store ( Petco). 10/10 experience Highly recommend to get your pup here and your pups monthly care here !

I was extremely hesitant about purchasing a pup from a pet shop, but my experience at Vanity Pups was nothing short of amazing! Lina, the manager, answered all of my questions and was very informative throughout the entire process. We had gone to the shop with the intention of only window shopping, but we ended up falling in love with our toy poodle and took him home that same day! Lina kindly explained all of the paperwork (where he came from, microchip, dog license, expectations for first two weeks, The Pet Doctor) to me and was patient with all of my questions once again. They washed and blow dried our pup before sending him home with us with a bag of dry food, wet food, peepee pads, toys, and matching leash and collar set. I'm a first time dog owner and Lina reassured me that I could call if anything ever happened. Thank you so much, Vanity Pups! My little pup, Pizza, is doing great at home- he's such a smart and energetic boy. Follow him on instagram @pizza_thepup

Brought my pup here for grooming. I picked it based on location, but what a nightmare. They cut a chunk off my poor baby's tongue. I know accidents happen, but this doesn't take away the pain my pup went through. Now lets get to the rude front desk employee #1 the front desk still tried to charge #2 she had the nerves to say "it's like biting your tongue." Really???? This girl needs to get fired. She's out of her mind. The owner was more compassionate. He offered to cover the vet visit across the street, but I'm still angry.

Good service I have a 9 months old labradoodle, 90lbs and he was ready in less than 2 hours, very good cut and clean he was happy, price was $ 123 with tip included, but he looks good and it was fast. Yes I recommend the place very good service and location.

I've waited a month before writing this review to see how my experience would unfold after purchasing my French Bulldog, Coco, from Vanity Pups, and I have to say: my experience with them has been absolutely amazing across the board! I can't find one single thing to complain about. WALKING INTO THE STORE: ---------------------- It's located in a super cute neighborhood in Flushing. Upon arrival, I was immediately and warmly greeted by a staff member. Meeting puppies is by appointments only, so be sure to make an appointment beforehand! I think they do this to ensure that they can dedicate proper time to answer clients' questions thoroughly and walk them through everything about owning a puppy. This shows they care about the puppy and do not take it as a 5 minute transaction just for the money. The inside of the store is super cute, clean, with puppies running around, and all the accessories you'd ever need and more. It's where I got my dog's bling (pictured below). SERVICE ---------------------- The staff is very nice and spends the time to answer all your questions. They even help you navigate being a new dog owner from A to Z, so you really feel supported and not rushed whatsoever. When playing with puppies I was potentially going to buy, I even overhead other staff members on the phone with past clients about their dogs, which let me know that they still keep in touch and are still available to help even after their clients had spent their money and left. PRICING ---------------------- I had originally inquired about another French Bulldog, which ended up being out of my budget (but it was the price I expected after having done research online). Nonetheless, they were able to accommodate my smaller budget and recommended more affordable little Frenchies. I was very pleased with the flexible cost as it was a little bit below what you would normally see in Manhattan and other metropolitan areas. They also provide financing (except during COVID-19, which is understandable). INFO ---------------------- The staff walks you through everything about the puppy you are interested in buying: - Which breeder the puppy came from (with contact info), who transported the puppy, how many were born in that litter, which shots were already given, which shots need to be given (and when), a health certificate from the vet saying that the puppy is healthy, what to feed the puppy, how much, how often, what to look out for in terms of health...etc - The puppies come with complimentary microchip, NYC dog license, food, collar, leash, dog tag, 1st visit to the vet (within 2 weeks of purchase), and neutering/spaying, full wash before purchase. - If the puppy had any health complications at the time of purchase or shortly after the time of purchase, I think they have some kind of warranty/money back situation, though I can't remember exactly. It was reassuring as I was nervous to buy instead of adopting (Frenchies are hard to find for adoption). It showed that they were confident in the quality of their pups and they had all the paperwork to prove it. I was stunned at how full the package was! It was everything to get me started and I felt supported 100%. ABOVE AND BEYOND ---------------------- The staff mentioned to me that the puppy would need to be spayed shortly after the purchase. When I realized I was only available weekends due to my full time job, they offered to pick up and drop off the puppy. I never expected them to do that, so I was shocked they had offered. This is above and beyond service. Thank you, Vanity Pups, for making my first dog experience a smooth and easy experience! PS: the puppy was already 30% potty-trained, which was crazy to me. I expected having to completely teach her how to potty, but she had a pretty good hang of it. Not sure if the breeder taught her a little bit or if Vanity Pups taught her. It's been a month since I've had her (she's 2.5 months) and she is now 100% potty-trained. Maybe I struck gold with a very smart pup?

Got my yorkie from them a little more than 2 weeks ago & I absolutely adore him. He had kennel cough when we brought him home and he's getting over it which is why i don't give them 5 stars. Despite some reviews saying their puppies come from puppy mills mine didn't I actually looked up breeder. The first couple of vet visits are covered by the store which is awesome as well. I deff recommend this place if you're looking to get a puppy.

I walked in to vanity pups Lina helped me after showing me a couple of dogs I saw Mae and fell in love Luna was nothing but patient and sweet she explained everything thoroughly and didn't rush the process i highly recommend vanity pups this process is suppose to be easy and smooth thank you I'm in love

I had a great experience at this pet store the other day! It's not just a shop--it's also a groomer, daycare, and boarding service. I went in looking for a harness for my 4-month-old poodle puppy after seeing a woman leaving with her freshly groomed poodle, who looked fantastic! I asked her about the cost, and she mentioned her groom was $130, though I'm not sure if that's the standard price. When we stepped inside, I was pleasantly surprised to see several poodles waiting for their grooming appointments. That reassured me because grooming poodles can be tricky, and it's easy to get it wrong. The fact that so many poodle owners trust this place gave me confidence that when my puppy is old enough, I'll be bringing her here for her first groom. The staff was also super friendly--the girl working that day introduced us to the two shop cats, who were just as sweet and welcoming as the staff! We found the perfect harness for our puppy, and after two weeks of searching, I finally got exactly what I was looking for at a very reasonable price. I can't wait to go back again! read more

Don't take your dogs there. They treat them badly. They dragged the dog by the ear in front of me and told me to come back later to pick him up.And everything we attempted to go there the dog was always crying and whimpering.Terrible place to take your animal I never went back. read more

I wish I could write something great. The only reason I'm doing this is in hopes that things get better with the place as I do not wish anything bad on small companies if anything I try to help them. I took my two mini-aussies here, first time, although mixed reviews I wanted to give it a shot. We dropped them off at 3pm by 5pm I got a phone call that my dog was found in the expressway dodging cars, luckily rescued by a great group of people. We were reunited and went to get my other dog to find out she was cut on her leg. Bleeding everywhere. The owner went after my Aussie and was frantic when he came back to the store. I was never called but he did explain his priority was to get my dog as he escaped. We went to the hospital to get them taken care of luckily the dog who escaped was fine other than torn paw pads. The owners did take care of the bill and also extra for everything caused. They also sent me a care package the next day which was very kind of them. They have been very attentive and as I do appreciate everything, it doesn't take away the trauma we all went through. I really hope that the security for the pups gets taken care of for their safety and to avoid a tragedy. I won't post pictures because it's just depressing. I just want things to get taken care of for the future. I give my best to the shop and owners. read more

Nassar was great. I got my little Bentley a yorkie poo from Nassar. We were ready to find our new baby after losing 6 mature dogs to long lives ..6 months later we were ready to welcome out newest addition to our family. Bentley is amazing..smart and just adorable. We got one of our 3 dogs Precious from Vanity Pups 13 years ago and so we knew to go back to find our newest baby. We are so happy and Bentley is so loved. Thank you for making our experience so wonderful and we will come and visit you soon since we came all the way from Southampton to find this lovable furbaby. read more

After a long and disheartening journey from shelters and other boutiques, we had decided to see if the place where we got our family pug from 13 years ago was around. To our much pleasant surprise, it was and under new and better management! From our first phone call to visit, vanity pups made us feel comfortable and welcomed. Nassar and Nuri were both knowledgeable, patient, and kind as we played with their available puppies! They understood our needs and we were happily able to adopt our Frenchie, Nori! (Formally Tuxedo of Vanity pups!) You can tell they really care about their pups, in every way possible and that really meant a world of difference to us. Thank you again for helping us welcome our newest family member into our home! 5/5 stars to Nassar and Nuri! read more

PSA: I cannot speak highly enough of this place. I had been waiting to get a fur baby for over 3 years, more specifically a dog that would eventually become my ESA. While I am in 1000% in support of rescuing and adopting, my own personal situation was one that it just made more sense to buy. I did lots of research on places all over NY - breeders, stores, etc. I was really losing hope at one point, as so many of the places I looked at were scams. And then I found Vanity...:) I messaged them on Instagram DM, as this was right when the COVID-19 pandemic began. I got a response within 10 minutes of messaging, while the other places I had inquired at days before had still not gotten back to me. I conversed with Diana (one of the owners) at length about what I was looking for and she answered all of my 101 questions. She also let me know any time a puppy that was similar to what I was looking for came in. I waited for about a month or so after first speaking with her before I ended up finding the right one and starting the process. I got to visit the puppy I was interested in, and it was a perfect match! Everything went perfectly when I came back a week later to pick her up, and Nassar (owner) made transactions, scheduling super convenient, as I live about an hour and a half from the store All the while, Diana was in consistent contact with me anytime I had a question. Shelsey and Lina were amazing each time I was in the store about helping me and answering questions as well! And Diana and I are still in contact, as she likes to check-in and see how Maisy (my angel) is doing! If this is not AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE, I don't know what is. They are only taking appointments right now to see puppies because of COVID, so please keep that in mind and be respectful of their policy! But if you're looking for that perfect addition to the family, this is THE place to go! Everyone on the team is incredible. Lots of love to everyone at Vanity and when I'm ready for another baby, I know where I'll be going :) read more

My fiancé and I were thinking of getting a puppy for over a year. We finally decided to do so at the beginning of the new decade. Then we needed to decide where. Should we go directly to a breeder? Or can we trust a pet shop? We were then referred to Vanity Pups and we couldn't be happpier. We got our little guy the very first day. He had our hearts and there was no going back. The service provided by owner Nazeer and his staff was friendly, informative and we could see that they took care and loved all the puppies that came into their care. We are immensely grateful to you all for helping us and for caring for our little guy sooo much. He is everything and more than we ever expected. read more

I was told about vanity by some family members who got a dog from here a couple years ago when they were under different ownership. I was just looking around at puppies because I had just lost my 13 year old yorkie poo about a month before. Upon coming into the shop, Nassar was welcoming and not pushy at all. He was patient with me and allowed me to take my time to fall in love again. After meeting Jagger during my first visit, Nassar would let me come and visit him, giving me time to make sure I was ready for a new pup and solidify a new bond with one. I've had Jagger for 2 months now, and he'll be 8 months in July. I'm so happy and recommend everyone come to Vanity in hopes of finding their furry match! read more

What can we say!?!? Our experience at Vanity Pups was 5 star rockstar level! We had done our research and decided we wanted to get our future companion from here! We made an appointment and went inside. We were greeted by Lina, the manager with a warm smile and a happy hello. We asked her questions over and over again even questions we had already asked and her patience never faltered. We met Jethro and instantly felt that connection. We knew he was coming home. She was so informative and helpful regarding our newest member of the family and went over all the paperwork in detail. I've been looking for a place to buy my first puppy for my son last Christmas and I tried a lot of pet shop and this is the only store that answered some of my basic questions via phone. And I can't thank them enough for all the help and support they provided me. Everything was in ordered from buying my puppy and all the documents are also prepared. They also referred me to a very good veterinarian. I highly recommended this place. And would keep referring friends and family for their good professional services. Thank you again. read more

This place is the best for buying a new pup. If you're thinking about it but are nervous to buy from a pet store, just know that this is a great place to buy from. We knew we wanted a Shih tzu, but were scared to buy from a pet store given the bad reputation so many have. After speaking with multiple breeders without any being a good fit (either very far away or extremely expensive), we researched the best rated stores in the NYC area and found Vanity Pups. It is under new management, and the new owner Nasir and his wife were so helpful. They answered all of our (annoying) questions, were straightforward, and made the process very easy. They really care about the pups they sell and are very clearly not in the business of selling sick puppies. I think any bad/scary reviews you may see were from a time when the store was under prior management. We have had our puppy for 2 months now, and he is a perfect 4 month old Shih tzu. Highly recommend this place! read more

This review is way overdue. From day 1 , I had a fantastic experience at Vanity Pups! I purchased my toy poodle Pepper a number of years ago and got her groomed at VP regularly. Sadly Pepper passed away and when I finally found the courage to become a DogMom again Vanity Pups helped me every step of the way. I was in contact with the owner for weeks because I specifically wanted a Chocolate Toy Poodle. The owner not only got me the puppy I wanted but he kept me updated the whole time until her arrival. Coming back to Vanity Pups was the best decision I've ever made. Shortly after I got my puppy I had to travel abruptly. The owner even recommended dog sitters in my area of the Bronx! Not to mention he gave me many tips on food brands and training... Now that's customer service! October will make 3 months of having my fur baby Nefertiti I'm team Vanity Pups 4 Life! read more

Let's me start with I have always been against buying a puppy, but I have small children and I didn't want to have a doge that I didn't know where he came from. Vanity pup has been great. We got our puppy from them about a year ago and ever since we take him for regular haircuts and wash. The best part is when we left him for overnight stay in there, our puppy wasn't happy and the owner took him home with him, to stay with his dogs. They treated our puppy like their own. read more

The good: I got the puppy of my dreams here, and she has truly been the best decision I've ever made. The staff was polite and helpful. I can't remember the girls name that helped me, but she was so polite and knowledgeable. I was a first time dog owner and she answered the silliest questions of mine. Now onto the bad. This store gets their puppies from puppy mills. They show you paperwork making it look like they come from breeders. Do yourself a favor and go home and look up said "breeder." You'll find it's a puppy mill. I also found a document that states this store uses puppy mill puppies. They sold me my puppy EXTREMELY sick and did not say anything. She had such bad kennel cough. She was throwing up all day and night. I had to take her to a vet once a week for 2 months until she finally had to get an operation. The store DID pay for the medical bills, but you must go to the vets they use. I had to trek to Forest Hills for her vet appointments, and eventually Long Island for her operation. Overall, the staff is great, but the owners should think twice about purchasing from puppy mills - especially such sick ones! Worrying about your new pup is the last thing you want to do! read more

Came here for the first time and we were told they were specialized in Schnauzer cut. Met the first staff by the cashier, she signed us in with a very bad attitude (I feared leaving my dog with her). Met with the other staff and groomer, both seemed to be nice and welcoming. I initially made an appointment for the full grooming service. Upon signing in, I added an add-on service of tooth cleaning. The lady asked my ideal cut for my dog in detail and requested a sample picture to be sent to their email. I specifically described what I wanted and what I did NOT want to the lady. Acknowledged. After 2 hours, we got a call that our pup was ready to be picked up. We were disappointed to find our pup with the haircut we specifically asked to avoid, and the cashier responded with "Sometimes you just can't get what you ask for." Well, I guess she's right. My pup now has the haircut we didn't want, with teeth NOT brushed, nails not trimmed, and NO lashes... and yes they chopped off the lashes without consulting us first. It's not cool to pretend that they care about customer service but end up doing what's only convenient to them. My advice is to make sure that you have at least 2 staffs acknowledged your requests before you leave. Be very specific about your requests, not sure if they care anyway though. read more

Puppy mill. Adopt don't shop. This place needs to be turned down. No one should have puppies for sale unless they are being adopted.

I would just like to say ! I am amazed by how helpful and kind these people are. I went on Sunday afternoon looking for a red poodle, I found Simba (that was his advertised name which I chose to stick with), I went home saying I'd think about it. After a hour or two I called and left the deposit on him .. nobody rushed me to buy him and all my questions were answered I went in today to pick him up and Wow just wow. Everyone is so nice, I asked about a thousand questions and everyone answered them without looking annoyed at me or anything. This was the best decision I have ever made in my life, simba is an amazing dog and this pet shop and it's employees are amazing people. I just wanna thank you guys because if it weren't for you guys I wouldn't have found my cute little simba. Thankyou for everything he was worth every penny! !! read more
Step inside to one of the most adorable 'nurseries' to find your new little love - a puppy or two is placed in bassinets lining the narrow store's walls and it's hard to heed the warnings and not reach in and snatch them all up . They specialize in small dogs, and I went here to find my havanese. The owner used to be a breeder and prides herself on now finding pups from good homes (aka: no puppy mills, only high quality breeders). They have a play area out back for a few of the staff to run around and socialize the dogs and they still check in on me from time to time to see how the dog is doing. They also refused to sell me my baby till he was old enough and settled in, which while frustrating at the time because I wanted him, shows signs that they care about his health and future. read more

They have beautiful puppies the two ladies at the front desk are helpful. However, I don't know if this place has issues keeping a groomer? First time I went I loved the outcome. Second time comming here the groomer examined my dogs hair. His ears were matted but the condition of his hair was not matted. The groomer said she would have to give me a call and let me know the condition of his hair once he was on the table. I never got a phone call or consented for my dog to be shaved down complety. I would have taken him elsewhere. He is pink and left with basically no fur. Its the start of winter and it is very cold! He basically got hacked! Not even done good looks like they were in a rush idk.... I cant even bring him on walks because he shakes to much and cant control his body temp! Moral of the story, call your client before you shave someones dog please! I didn't start a problem because my dog was not hurt he is happy and healthy. Just beware please! Owners please ask questions don't be like me. read more

hi everyone, if your looking for a puppy you should without doubt go to vanity pups in bayside queens, although i live in Astoria, i trekked down there after seeing there website. i had been looking to have puppy for our family however all the searching i did for some time i came accross there site. i headed down therea nd was amazed they have such adorable little pups. i asked if they had any shih-tzu, the manger Jose told me that he did have a few however they were due to see the vet later on that day before they could be seen. but he brought out this fluffy brown and white puppy, i was instructed that i had to wash my hands before seeing the dog. i thought that this was an indication that they take great care of there pups. i told him that i for sure wanted this dog. This pup came to me and i was the first person who saw him. i fell in love instantly and knew he was the one. i was there at noon, and the vet would be coming at 5pm to make his recommendation if the pup was ready for viewing. i told him that i would wait until the vet came and i hung round the area until 5:45pm....the manger Jose had explained that it was not for sure if the dog would be able to come home with me that day. i told him that i would come back and see if the pup was approved to be brought home. this was due to vanity pups using preventative measures on all the pups to ensure that they are healthy and strong enough. when i had returned later after the vet did his thing, the manager Jose told me that the pup could come home with me that day... i was thrilled. now i never bought a dog before and i thought that you would just pay the money and off you go with your new addition to your family, well that was not the case. the manager Jose brought me into the office and went over in detail all the unnecessary things that must be done to ensure the proper nutrition and care for this pup. he told me all the possibilities and variables that may occur, so that he was sure that our family would properly care for this little pup. i was in the office no joke for 1 1/2 hours going over all the details. i was so surprised, because with other stores that i have been to they just let you touch the pup and they keep telling you ill give you a good deal and pressure you into buying the dog. At this place there was no pressure they let you pick up all the pups and make you wash your hands over and over. there is no question, this is the best place to find a furry friend. i am so glad that i went out there, this little furry guy that we have, has brought so much laughter into our home, we are constantly with him and cant get enough. we took him to the vet and he is very healthy and i continue to follow the guidelines that the manger Jose had instructed me to do. so if your looking for a good healthy clean and no pressure environment for looking to get a pup go there. they also have grooming and the dogs i saw coming from being groomed looked outstanding.. i cant write how great an experience it was for me.....-km read more

I had not planned on getting a puppy for my girlfriend's birthday. Earlier in the day, we went downtown to see a film. Then we went shopping for African textiles in Harlem. We planned to head back into Queens to look at puppies. We were thinking about getting a puppy in the near future and I knew my girlfriend would enjoy seeing a bunch of puppies on her birthday. The plan was to go out to dinner afterwards and celebrate. We stopped by one pet store in Queens and saw many cute puppies banging their heads on plexiglass and yelping for affection in single occupancy pods. The puppies were full of personality, but the staff not so much. I asked my girlfriend if she wanted to see more puppies before going to dinner. She certainly did. After a quick google search, I had a number for Vanity Pups. Michael answered the phone and said that they were open until 8 and that we still had plenty of time to come see the "beautiful babies". The layout of the store could not have been more different from store we had just visited. Five tiny puppies were inside of three baby cribs in the middle of the floor. The walls were lined, floor to ceiling, with puppy attire and accessories. We were greeted by three young women. They were kind, attentive, adorable and they all loved puppies. One of them informed us that she had six dogs at home. One of her dogs was with her at the store that evening. We had been disappointed that we were unable to interact with the puppies at the previous store, and delighted when they asked us if we wished to sit with the puppies for a while. The girls set up a pen at the back of the store, sat us down on a bench inside and moments later we were covered in energetic, young puppies. We held all the different pups and watched them play and run around us. Nearly 30 minutes later, my girlfriend looked at me and on her lap sat a gorgeous white tea-cup Maltese named Mulan. The pup had been resting in her lap for a long while. She asked, "is this our puppy?" "Are we getting a puppy?" She seemed a little shocked at herself, because she doesn't generally make any kind of impulse purchases and had no intention of getting a puppy, yet. Needless to say, we picked up dinner on the way home and we've had our little princess for nearly a month. We changed her name to Yue and we could not be happier. One of the owners, Michael, and his entire staff made us feel as though we were visiting family members, even before we knew we were taking home a puppy. We're glad to have seen our family grow. Best birthday ever! read more

i purchase my dog from this place 1 year ago, you might wonder why complain now it been so long. because this store is not honest, one day me and my wife was just planning to shop around here until we saw this dog that melt my wife heart, so we decided to add a member into our family, because there is so much paperwork has to be done they said we can come back tomorrow. The next morning we got into the store right on the opening the person said sorry the price has increase because someone else wanted as well and willing to pay more, Please explain we left last night because you guy had to close how is it even possible someone else would of come in and we came in at the opening. Anyways my wife was all over the puppy so i didn't wanted argue so i paid that extra $300 Sweet! great start !, after we went home my puppy started coughing at night so often it tear our heart out, seeing that little poor thing just feel asleep and got woken up because he has to cough every 10 min. we went back the second day they said "oh~~ its fine their puppy's so it happen at the beginning here let me give you this vet we are related to free of charge " fine we went to the vet SURPRISE ! bill came out and vet said its only free on checkup but the med was not cover money please~. We went home and toss out the med they give we didn't trust any of them, i search up best vet around us and we head over there the vet explain to us the coughing is because of the virus Kennel Cough and can be treated. and since then i only go to this vet. We love our dog it doesn't matter what he grow up looking into we don't care hes our family , but its odd that a pure Maltese weight at 15 pound and look like a mix of bichon with curl hairs, we were worry was he over weight we head to vet again the doctor said hes fine ! he doesn't looking over weight hes just big in general, we figure out we didn't purchase a pure Maltese but anyways who ever that's planning to purchase from here please AVOID read more

I am an incredibly critical person who is not easily impressed with appearances and empty words. Being a psychologist, I am also quite adept at smelling inauthenticity from miles away. With that said, Michael and his staff are simply incredible. They take pride in their work and they cultivate a quiet sense of inner trust in their costumers. They treat all of the animals as their babies. They listened and spent an incredible amount of time helping me and my partner select the right puppy for us. In little time, we found our match (a little cavapoo we named peanut). Peanut is the most loving puppy and we are so happy with our guided decision and with our healthy and jovial puppy. When peanut arrived, Michael and his staff spent time with us going over how to work with our baby's temperament and guided us through some basic house training. They provided us with the all the breeders information that we requested and were patient with my endless questions and anxious concerns. Michael abated all of my anxieties and has even given me his cell phone number in case I had further concerns or questions after hours; truly making us feel like family. The Bayside animal clinic that they set us up with was a very positive experience as well. On my way back from the vet, it was raining and I just remembered I needed more wee wee pads. I called Michael and he came out to my car with wee wee pads for peanut and with a treat! Now where are you going to get such amazing love and service? vanity pups in my opinion is the only place to go if you want to ensure you get a healthy puppy and excellent service. We cant wait to go back and show our little peanut to Michael and Melanie! read more

COULD THIS NOT BE ANY MORE TRANSPARENT, HONEST TO GOD?????? THIS IS A PUPPY MILL OPERATION. EVERY SINGLE SIGN IS VISIBLE HERE. these puppies' parents live on grate floors in shacks among their own filth and will be bred to death, never to see the light of day. seriously just google "puppy mill" or even "puppy sale / puppy store" and you will get blaring warnings for exactly this kind of store. NO breeder who actually cares about their animals would hand them over to a pet store. and how do you think they get aalll these different pretty little breeds so quickly in one place? why is no actual information provided about the puppies' origins? (and if you're given anything like pedigree papers, they are fabricated, trust me) even better, look up "puppy mill" on youtube by the way, even if you just get grooming here, you are STILL supporting the store's operations, you are still giving them money. i also noticed these guys pride themselves on having "teacup" puppies - obviously never buy a puppy from a store ever but besides that, the teacup thing, globally, "teacup" is not recognized by ANY kennel club, reputable organization, etc because "teacup" dogs are literally too small to function properly as dogs - they are incredibly inbred and besides that their organs, etc are literally too large for their bodies, and everything is positioned all wrong within the body because it is *just too small*, causing unimaginable pain and serious disability - most teacups die of illness within just a few years if not months i don't live around here but somebody please, please, get the animal authorities to check this place's sources out read more

Omg, can you say absolutely adorable! I walked into this "puppy heaven" hoping to ONLY ask a couple of questions, see the condition of the pups, see if they had the breed I was looking for and that was it. My fiance and I have been contemplating getting a dog for a long time but since I am allergic to mostly everything with fur I've been very hesitant. So, I did as much research as I possibly could and we both fell inlove with the West highland terriers. The only problem was that barely any pet shop has them in stock and everyone we went to had to put in a special order meaning we would have to pay upfront without even getting to meet or spend time with the dog before decieding whether or not it was the dog for us. Needless to say as soon as I walked in I saw my dream dog in a baby crib, the owner Mike put her in my arms, sat us down on a couch with a gate surrounding us and little after about 30 minutes of letting us bond he started telling me all about taking care of my new little buddy. I simply fell inlove with her, she was healthy, happy and 9 weeks old which meant she was ready to go home with me that same day. As Mike went over the paper work with me the staff gave her a bath. She was absolutely perfect. My fiance was completely surprised when he got home and decided to name our new family member Abby. I've recommended this place to everyone I know. Every puppy in there looks happy and healthy and I'm so happy they had Abby and I was able to bring her home. Thanks Mike and Vanity pups! read more

Vanity Pups is not just a breeder or grooming boutique- It's an experience. The puppies are, of course, cute, dollfaced, and mostly hypoallergenic and non-shedding. They have a select group of experienced, professional staff members who are extremely familiar with their many long-time customers who often bring puppies they purchased from the kennel back for regular spa treatments. The family-based business takes care to ensure their puppies' health and happiness before selling them to a loving, caring family. We bought our first puppy, Wolfgang, a 11 week old Schnoodle, here a month before buying our second puppy, Caesar, a purebred red poodle. Both our puppies had, in addition to irresistible, furry faces, excellent temperaments. They were playful around other puppies and with toys but loved nothing more than to be cuddled by people, as is characteristic of the dogs at Vanity Pups. The staff really take care to let you get to know your pup before making your final decision on your purchase, with a permanent area set up as a playpen for puppies to interact and socialize in. Potential first-time dog owners need not fear, as Vanity Pups thoroughly goes over the vital information on puppy-owning once you have selected your pup. I am extremely happy to now be a member of the Vanity Pups family! read more

I came to Vanity Pups after spending several days in search of a Yorkshire puppy. My family and I were ready to give up and come back to Northern NY were we live, but as we made a last check on the internet we found their website and decided to give them a call (it was a Monday and a holiday)even though it was advertised that they only work by appointments on those days. Since the moment that we spoke with Michael, we knew that we finally were going to get our puppy from Vanity Pups. Michael asked us what we wanted and after a few moments of talking, he offered to meet us at the store the same day. The store is nicely set up and well stocked. When Michael brought the puppy for us to see her, all of us fell in love with the little Yorkie. Michael spent a long while explaining us how to get everything situated with the puppy. My wife and I agreed that we were treated as family, with respect and without trying to push a puppy on us; Michel was even kind enough to give us a bow and a dress for our new baby. We would recommend coming to Vanity Pups Boutique to look for a new furry member of your families. Thank you Michael, awesome service!!!! read more

I have been searching for a small puppy for my kids for a while and I just happen to stumble upon Vanity Pups while googling online, after reading their reviews I decided to check out the place for myself. Upon arriving, I found the store to be very clean and cozy. The owner, mike has no no problem with you interacting with the puppies which was a big plus for me. He also didn't mind bringing out 5 or 6 puppies for me to look at and let run around the store. I didn't feel pressure to purchase a puppy on the spot which was refreshing and I went home to sleep on it. Well I was back the next day my little black shihchon had won me over. Mike was able to come down on the price and throw in a couple of extra little goodies for our little Molly. He was extremely helpful answering all my questions and conserns both in person and on the phone. My sister is purchasing a puppy in a couple of months and after the great experience I had at vanity pups I am definitely bringing her here. The owner is wonderful, the store is clean and friendly, and even more importantly the puppies are healthy and happy! read more

My roommate purchased a Mini Schnauzer from Vanity Pups a few days ago and I was extremely impressed with the knowledge base of the owner, Mike, as well as the health guarantees that accompanied the puppy. This shop has a clinical relationship with Central Veterinary Associates which, in my opinion, is one of the best vets around. The first check up was free and many of the pending vaccinations will be no charge as a result of the relationship between Vanity Pups and the vet. All papers were provided and my roommate was encouraged to reach out to the breeder with any questions. They make themselves available to you at any time and insist that you consider them a resource for the life of your pet. Vanity Pups also gives you a 20% discount for LIFE on all grooming services (that's awesome!) All in all ... the experience was great. The only reason I couldn't give 5 stars was the hefty price tag for the little man ... $1500. Ultimately, he's worth it but it was an expense that was a little difficult to wrap our heads around. Lol. read more

Last week I went into Vanity Pups and Michael the owner was a doll. He let me play with a gorgeous morkie and a petite yorkie (both girls). I fell in love with my morkie but was unsure if my 3 tweens and my husband would also feel the same way so I told Michael I would return with my family and left. The following day I returned with my family and they fell in love with the exact morkie I had picked out. I knew right away that she was the perfect puppy for us! We took Precious home with us that very day. Vanity Pups boutique is a clean, adorable place that cares about the welfare of their puppies. As soon as we adopted Precious they cleaned her and Michael sat down with us and took the time to explain how to care for our new baby. We are dog owners and lovers and have a designer dog (Shi-Peek) at home and now Precious is the perfect addition to our beautiful family. I would recommend all my friends and family to go see Michael at Vanity Pups to help them pick out the right puppy for their family. Best puppy place in town!! read more

Almost all the negative reviews are about the grooming so personally think their overall rating doesn't do them justice. This review is about buying a puppy. When walking in I noticed how its overall a caring and well taken for environment. The puppies looked energetic and well taken care of. The people that work there are very helpful. They don't push dogs on you to buy mostly because people already know what they want before they even step in. We viewed a bunch of puppies and decided to buy one which is 2 month. I'm not going to say which breed but we didn't pay $800 for him which was extremely low. We went to another country place before that wanted $1700 and didn't come with anything. So he was extremely low. We bounty the puppy and overall it's going good. We had the puppy for a few days and he's very happy and shows no signs of any health problems. Overall I had a great experience. I'm only rating the buying experience and not the grooming. So they get a five star for their buying experience. read more

Amazing!!!!! I can't say enough about Vanity Pups!!! We came across Vanity Pups when searching for a breeder for Morkies!! Being first-time puppy owners, we had a lot of questions and Michael took the time to answer our questions every time we called! Prior to putting down a deposit on our puppy, my daughter stopped by to check out the store front. She was so impressed we put down a deposit and waited for the litter to arrive! Just as promised, Michael contacted us when the puppies arrived and we picked out the most amazing morkie, Brady! Dealing with Michael made the whole process run smoothly! He covered absolutely every aspect of puppy ownership and made it completely understandable for this first-time puppy family! MOST IMPORTANTLY, as he promised, we checked on the breeder of our puppy who has received exemplary inspections from the USDA! Brady had his first vet visit today and is the most amazingly healthy and happy puppy!!! Thank you, Michael and Vanity Pups!! read more

I recently had my 5 lb. foster puppy groomed by Vanity Pups on Bell Blvd. in Bayside. Was I surprised by the absolutely fantastic job they performed on this severely matted 10-mo.-old little guy. I understand that de-matting a puppy can be a quite painful and traumatic experience on the animal. My dog came out from the grooming area of the store, after he was done, and was kissing Michael, the owner, and quite happy and excited, greeting me and anyone else in the store. What's more, he was super-clean, smelled delightful, and the haircut looked adorable on him. They tried to stay with a "puppy" cut as much as possible. I would strongly recommend Vanity Pups to anyone who is interested in an excellent grooming experience for their pet, an experience that is combined with kindness, gentleness, and respect for both their canine and human customers. My own dog and this little pup will definitely be returning to Vanity Pups for subsequent haircuts. read more

I recently got a puppy and i'm always looking for fun toys and possibly a second puppy to keep mine company. I went to the Bayside area for a business matter and came upon this puppy store. The customer service is just uncaring, it was like shopping and being invisible at the same time. I did not like the fact that the puppies were all in these crib units that allowed anyone to just touch them, they were practically falling out of them. There was a teddybear puppy i liked but it had a bad cough and the lady behind the counter could not care less about the puppy or us. i am an animal lover and do not like the bad vibes i get from this place.I would never go back and I would tell people not to go to this place for a puppy, go to a rescue shelter or even a good puppy store, which is what i did. i gave 2 stars because the store was somewhat clean. read more

Vanity Pups made my purchase a very enjoyable one. I purchased a mini schnauzer male two months old salt & pepper color in Jan 2014. I looked at the prospects and chose the one I fell in love with. When I went for pick-up, my sweet heart was exactly like his photo. No two dogs were alike. The people working there were very helpful, honest and truly care about the dogs. My dog was a well cared for puppy. Vet services came with the package , which I took advantage of and will keep them for the future. I also bring Jake Von Schnauzer for his grooming. Very happy with the results, well priced. Although, I have grooming in Astoria, I love the way they take care of Jake. Before I chose Vanity Pupps, I did my homework. The store is well equipped and the staff very kind and helpful. Cannot be more happy. I truly recommend this Boutique to all. read more

Vanity Pups is The place to get a puppy and anything else you will need for him/her. Michael the owner was amazing. He treated us like his own family and answer all of out questions. He even gave us his personal cell number just in case if we had more questions to ask. We received lots of free stuff for out new Pomeranian puppy and even a free grooming before we took her home. I feel blessed that I came across Vanity Pups because I was serching for a Pomeranian puppy for many weeks and I been to pretty much every stores in all 5 boroughs but Michael was the only store owner who actually send us pictures of the puppies he currently had so We didn't have to travel just to find out they were sold out. I guarantee if you go in you will bee happy and you defiantly will make the right choice by going in to Vanity Pups. read more

Great place! I looked online for a place that grooms puppy poodles. Then I ran across Vanity Pups Boutique and enjoyed the pictures of the puppies in the crib and the environment of the shop. I gave them a call and was quickly scheduled the same day. My mini red poodle puppy was groomed with care... and looked so very handsome plus smelled so good with his mini blue tie on. The tie took my happiness over the edge. My scruffy poodle pup no longer had hair in his eyes and looked very happy after the grooming. Also the price of their pups are extremely reasonable (i bought my pup at another place $$). They also shared that they offer puppysitting services for when I travel! This place is great and the staff was very friendly. I got a discount for my first puppy grooming session. 5 Stars from me! read more

I stumbled upon this place walking to eat and my mom and I would stop in to see the puppies any time we were on the block. We stopped in one day and fell in love with the miniature schnauzer baby that was there. We were greeted by Michael (the owner of the store) who was very sweet. After weeks of deciding about taking the baby home Michael helped us through the whole process while keeping the baby there for us through this decision. Michael went out of his way to call and text us multiple times to check in. When we finally decided to add the baby as an addition to our family we sat down with Michael and were shown paper work to prove the vaccinations the puppy had and what breeder it was from. The process was very thorough and appreciated. Now we have our furever friend and couldn't be happier! read more
