Besides having an excellent selection of high quality pet foods, treats, beds and toys this is one of the best 'doggy daycare'/boarding facilities I've ever seen. Brian and his friendly staff take excellent care of our dog on the occasions we have to board him. Although our 'little guy' was hesitant the first time we brought him in every time thereafter he raced in happily and was obviously very comfortable in the facility. They have a 'doggy rumpus room' with videos, indoor/outdoor carpeting, toys and a continual caregiver monitoring all activities. They obviously care for the wellbeing of their 'clients' requiring a veterinarian clean 'bill of health' prior to accepting any dogs for boarding and making sure that all vaccinations are up to date. Brought my doggie in to get her groomed this weekend. Cute store with lots of delicious looking treats and cute toys. The staff was great, calling me to remind me of the appointment, prompt in getting the grooming started, finishing the job in less than their estimated time. They treated my dog very nicely (she's old and cranky, 16!) and gave her some peanut butter cookie treats afterwards. Because my dog has tons of knots, they had to shave her. I was worried that she would look bad but turns out, it took years off her - she looked like a puppy! The shave was very even, they did a nice job trimming her ears and face. I have been very nervous in finding a groomer for my terrier mix. He had a bad experience with another groomer and has shown aggressive behavior towards any kind of grooming since. Shannon (with 12 yrs experience) sat with me and Dexter beforehand and really made me feel like he was in great hands. The hot oil treatment lasts several weeks and has completely eliminated any notions of dry skin on my dog. I also get the teeth treatment, it also has completely eliminated any bad breathe. I have a cavalier King Charles Spaniel, which is perhaps one of the harder breeds to groom properly and the outcome is flawless! The cut is I unbelievable, I always get compliments from other King Charles owners. The pet shop and the grooming services compliment each other. Quality pet treats, pet food, supplements, and toys (even offering the organic variety of it all). I have been taking my Yorkie to Shannon for the past 7 years. I have NEVER had a bad experience and that's why I would never even TRY another place. My little baby has major separation anxiety as do I. Shannon and Brian have always made me feel safe and comfortable leaving my little angel. She listens to exactly what you want and always delivers. To start, my dog DOES look very good in her new haircut but, I will NOT be returning. My well-taken care of, daily brushed dog was due for a haircut. While she is a longer haired dog (poodle mix), she was certainly not what any groomer I've ever been to would consider "very matted". The groomer informed me upon entering that my dog was "very matted" and might be charged extra de-matting fees. This reminded me that the last time I went, they had also mentioned a small de-mat fee but they had waived it since it was my "first time" (I have never in my life experienced such fees and my dog is always in similar shape when I take her to get groomed). Might I mention, the time prior they also charged me more in general than they had quoted me over the phone, saying "we only give a price range over the phone, not an exact price" (FALSE...). Well, immediately, I told her that i disagreed with her and that she is simply a "furry dog", she was not really so matted as she was claiming. Her argument was that a comb wouldn't go straight through her hair... an unfair argument because what animal/human with longer hair can have a comb go all the way through with no resistance? Afterall, she was there for a haircut! I sensed she was trying to charge me as much as possible. Before pick up, I was notified it would be 100$ cash for the groom which included a $30 de-matt fee! I can't even imagine how much she would try to charge a dog-owner that had a "real" matted dog. When I tried to speak to her telling her I have never heard of such an absurd fee, her response was "I showed you before" (and I told her that I STILL didn't think she was "very matted" whatsoever), and "this is the way we do it here". She was argumentative and continued to repeat herself without listening, saying that "This is the way they do it" and "maybe no place has ever charged me because I didn't wait the same amount of time to get groomed" --- FALSE again. I always wait the same period of time before getting my poodle-mix groomed. She is a longer hair, fluffy dog and we like her hair like this, not super short. After arguing back and forth (extremely unprofessional), I told her that I would not be returning and instead of trying to make a customer happy, she stormed off. There are MANY quality groomers in the area, none of which charge every customer who walks in the door additional fees for a standard amount of de-matting that should be included with a haircut. (I understand, a very very matted dog is harder to work with any might incur some small additional fee). If Spock and Elvis wants to be an $100 groomer then that is fine, but they should raise their prices instead of tricking customers into thinking they're getting a deal, only to overcharge everyone once they are already there. I do not recommend this place as I do not do business with argumentative businesses who are not honest about pricing! read more

I took my 5 month old beautiful shih tzu for his first grooming and was beyond HORRIFIED! I explained to the groomer Shanon exactly what I wanted but she failed to listen and wouldnt even let me speak! I asked for an inch off his body and clearly said not to touch the top of his head but due to her ignorance she CUT him the way she wanted. The hair on top of his head is choppy and his ears look ridiculous and in addition, he practically looks shaved on his body! My shih tzu was beautiful and fluffy and now he looks awful! Dont take your dog to this store the groomer is RUDE and IGNORANT and she happens to also be the owner. I called the next day to explain to her how upset our family was and instead of being sensitive and apologetic, she was obnoxious, careless, and rude. Nobody should EVER take their puppy to such a cold person! NO NO NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WISH I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE ZERO STARS! read more

I've been getting my 11lb Maltese groomed here for 8 years. I've been to other groomers, depending on where I was living over the years, and no one takes care of my coconut like Spock + Elvis does. Shannon knows exactly how to cut her hair just the way I like it and she is a sweet woman who treats the dogs nicely. She actually listens if I ask for her hair a little shorter/longer, etc. Coconut is always a tad nervous going in and coming out, but at the end of the day, she looks so fresh and so clean. the owner, Brian, gives me a reminder call every 6 weeks which is SO cool and helpful.
