I had super curly hair and it was uneven in the back after the cut. It appeared as if all my hair was gathered into a ponytail and cut at the top. It was so heavily textured that there was nothing for my hair to have shape leaving it frizzy. When I went back to my regular hairdresser who cut off all the "points" at the ends of my hair, she tried to leave me some length. Sadly, my hair looks like it was cut with a weed whacker, as if there were no actual style I could reproduce or work with when I got home. I am trying to grow it out and it has been terrible to try and style. I do not recommend this niche haircut.

Politely offered beverage services, snacks, hair style lookbooks, a comfy waiting area and a full suite of products round out the amenities. ( As of this posting, ownership has installed full-spectrum, eco-responsible lighting that naturally illuminates- giving you and your stylist true color representation, resulting in effects that look great when you emerge into natural light.) As for the talent, I have my main guru Tracey, but have had to use the services of other team members when my schedule doesn't work with Tracey. Mary Jean, Nicole, and a host of others have stepped in to do wonderful updos, cuts and color, straightening, etc. When things get busy at the salon, the team help each other out. They support each other, making it a wonderful, smooth operation. It's just a solid team, working hard to make every guest feel welcome, cared for and beautiful. As for the errant negative reviews, we live in a world where, sadly, entitlement rules. People want to have *everything* delivered to them *immediately* for a cost next to nothing- and they want it done exactly like how they picture it in their minds- no matter how much it may defy all natural laws of physics. I'll stick with working as a research scientist, thank you- it's far easier than owning a salon. You can't please everyone as a business owner, but every three months or so, I get to see a group of talented professionals give it their all toward this end. I have been an unlimited member with Madison Reed since April 2025 (15 months). I have had my hair…read morecolored 30 times during this time because the color fades and washes out too quickly. I don't complain about this, it is unlimited. I can come as many times a month as I choose. They are never on time. For a 35-minute service, I allow 2 hours. I blow my own hair. I have accepted this because of the price. At my last appointment, on 5/28 they were short-staffed. The location was dirty. There was hair all over the floor. The counter tops were dirty. The bathroom was overflowing with dirty paper towels. They were out of cotton discs and color remover for your skin. The schedule was 40 minutes behind. No one complained. They offered an option to reschedule to people. But today.... I was 15 minutes late. Yes, I was. AND I was told my appointment was cancelled. I drove 45 minutes from home as I had done 30 times and was turned away. I asked for the color to do it at home and was told NO. I have an unlimited membership for a year and 3 months. But NO. So, I don't recommend Madison Reed. The color fades fast, the location is filthy, and they are always late. Their customer service... well, not too good either.
