This place is far from "lux" or "elite." Even booking -- or trying to keep -- an appointment here tells you everything you need to know. We booked our appointment a couple of months ago and reconfirmed by text, yet when we arrived, the stylists had clearly given our slot to a higher-priced service. One stylist even told us to "have a seat," despite the two of them openly discussing in front of us that the other client's service would take a long time -- meaning they knew our appointment was bumped before we even walked in. There is no one to answer the phone, and replies come through messy, unorganized texts. After making eye contact with the stylist, they told us to "come back in an hour," as if our time didn't matter. There also seems to be zero management. We walked out -- and as expected, no one ever followed up. At this point, we'd rather just go to the salon across the street with far better reviews and a more professional reputation. read more

I booked a blow out here and the stylist who I booked it with never touched my hair once. The girl who washed my hair ended up having to do the blow out because my stylist was busy dying another girls hair. The woman who ended up doing my hair put NO product in it, and basically blew it out like it was her first time touching hair. I'm lucky I left there with any hair left on my head. At the end, once my hair was completely dry and done, she said ok let me go get your stylist to make sure it's good. At that point I was so beyond livid with the whole experience I said he's going to come check that it's good now that we're all done and it's dry?! I don't think so. I love them at this salon. Gianna is gifted. Her blonde highlights are like angel hair, and not damaging. I'm happy every time I leave. The entire salon is friendly and just pleasant to visit. I'm extremely picky on blonde talent since few can do it, and since moving here from California, I tried a few places. No one had the technique like Gianna. And the extensions are amazing too. I had a horrible experience at this salon, I contacted them to have my hair color, blown out and cut before my wedding, I specifically stated how I needed to get out of the salon before 4pm and they said they understood and could complete the services. Well that was not the case! I came in and sat there for about 25-30 minutes, once I got to the chair I waited again for 20 minutes, I was finally approached and told after several minutes of waiting that I was not able to get all the services I requested, so I accepted that...they colored my hair and the lack of attention on my hair is an entire other review... as I waited in my chair and waiting the women decided to speak negatively about the transgender community and I can not write down the disgusting comments being said but I will say that the owner was present for this conversation and did not stop the conversation nor did she care.... I sat in the chair for so long and I guess because I did t walk into the salon with an expensive handbag and looked like I had money no one gave any attention to me....if you are an influencer or a Z list celeb they will go above and beyond but if your not good luck here! End of this story was I spent a gooood amount of money for services that were not met or even liked...I had to reblow out my hair and contact another salon to fix the half ass job that was done to my hair for my wedding... She is passionate about what she does and it is evident / speaks for itself through her work. She is extremely talented, respectful, caring, and not to mention, a perfectionist! It's unfortunate so many people have had great experiences with This salon except me. I have been going to industry salon since March and have been having terrible experiences with their service and calling me cancelling, delaying, rescheduling appointments, changing stylists, etc. The first time I got the extensions, the stylist put 2 rows of hair on one row literally causing it to fall out from the weight of it. I called and called to get back in, they originally told me "it's supposed to be lifting", I was like it's literally falling out of my head. They told me to come in the following week. After a WEEK of dealing with these extensions hanging off my head I did as they told me and returned to find out the stylist was out due to an exposure to covid. I told them I cannot keep waiting as my bridal shower was that weekend and they called me to come back later in the day. When I returned another stylist redid my hair, profusely apologized and said it was way too much weight in one row and it should be in 2 separate rows. I kept returning to this stylist as she was really good and understood my frustration. I had Called to change an appt a little while back and had to be squeezed in with a different stylist, they called me to come in early, then called me and said actually come later. After rescheduling my entire day I finally get there and they told Me the girl i originally made an appt with won't be doing my hair instead one of the shampoo girls would be, and I got charged the same nonetheless. She didn't do a good job, and I went back a week later to get it fixed with my original girl who profusely apologized again. This is twice I've had to go back and get my hair fixed. I've been going since March and I simply don't have time to keep going back and forth. I cut my honeymoon short to go in for my hair appt yesterday with my original girl to avoid any issues I've had previously as I was already super frustrated. I was extremely disappointed finding out my hair stylist was sick with COVID and no one called To tell me. Doesn't help the owner was very rude about it and infront of other customers. She said "well she's sick with covid and wont be back for 2 weeks. Soooo... idk what you expect" I tried to explain my frustration and she was extremely demeaning. From what I've heard, most people including my sister in law love it there. My mother in law however made an appointment for hair extensions , and as she was driving to red bank they called her and cancelled and she didn't reschedule based upon my experience. This is my personal Experience and I can't keep rescheduling my entire life from their lack of communication and terrible customer Service. Especially being that you pay premium Price for premium service. I love my hair girl, but I don't want to keep giving them business and being treated like I don't matter & disrespected. As a new client I'm happy Lauren listened to my concerns about damage from previous salon. What I was not happy with was the 3% fee added for using my debit card. I was never informed of this fee when (1) I initially made appt; (2) when I received a call about needing to change the date & stylist; (3) never saw anything in the salon about this until checking out & after questioning the fee Lauren displayed the sign that was not visible on the desk ("might have been knocked down") & then put it back on the desk. This could've been avoided if I was told about it in the first place since I stated I'm new to the salon when I first contacted Industr (my bank is a few blocks away from salon). Will probably be back but felt that was a bit deceptive especially for the pretty penny paid. Update: darker color faded out within 2 weeks from initially done leaving my hair looking grown out, no dimension, faded. Industry salon is by far the only place I would ever trust with my hair! The stylists there never disappoint. I hired Gianna to style my hair for my wedding as well as my whole bridal party and everyone came put flawless! She literally puts all her best work into making your hair into a masterpiece. She's the only hairstylist I would Trust to style my hair! Lauren is amazing as well! I have been getting my hair colored by her for years and not once have I ever been disappointed she literally has hands of gold and also makes my colors and cuts look amazing and the color lasts too! Scheduled an appointment several weeks in advance for my best friend's bridal trial. She asked for our name, number, and detailed questions about the wedding. I spoke to a few different hair stylists that week but based on friendliness, prices, and her work I figured she would be perfect! And of course I checked Instagram and Yelp an unhealthy amount of times prior to calling her. Had nothing but over the moon feelings until... My friend and I drove AN HOUR away and arrived on time as planned. The owner nonchalantly explains that she didn't have our numbers in order to contact us (excuse me?) but that she needs an hour or so. An hour or so? How unprofessional! She didn't confirm this with us and made her own decision without our consent. What about the plans we had set in stone after our assumed 2 hour trial time in addition to the hour drive back home? The fact that she was unapologetic and nonchalant about it left us baffled. How are we suppose to rely on her on the wedding day? Would she show up late? If the roles were switched, we showed up saying we needed an hour or so and demanded to be taken at that time...would that be okay? Working with Industry Salon was nothing short of absolutely horrible. If it were possible to give them zero stars I would. I booked Industry 1 YEAR in advance of my wedding and was assured that my stylist would be doing my hair as well as half of the bridal party. On the day of my wedding, my stylist did another brides hair in the morning and was 3 HOURS LATE to style my hair on my wedding day. Needless to say, my stylist obviously did not style any of my bridesmaids and the replacement stylists she sent were not as talented as I was promised. Due to her lateness, I have zero pictures getting ready with my bridesmaids, was late to my own church, and have never been more upset in my life. Industry salon is completely unprofessional and I absolutely cannot recommend them to anyone that is looking for a stress free experience on their wedding day. I do not understand how someone can casually be three hours late to styling a bride. I do not understand how someone can book two brides on the same day. It's super cozy & the experience of a small "boutique" salon really makes one feel like a VIP. Gianna, the owner, and Lauren, my hairstylist, are both so talented & sweet! Although I do like the color my hair turned out I have to say my experience at Industry Salon was a less then pleasant one. My appointment was made a month in advance for 1pm. I got a phone call from the salon at 11am the morning of my appointment asking if I could come in at noon instead. I said I could probably make it, moved some things and rushed around to get there earlier to accommodate them. When I got there I was barely greeted, was walked over to one of the stations, they took my coat and then I sat in the chair without being spoken to for 35 minutes. Around 12:35 the stylist finally came over and said she was running behind and walked away for another few minutes, came back to see what I wanted to do color wise and we finally started around 12:40. Here's the thing, I understand at a woman's salon that sometimes appointments run over, but I was upset that they called me and asked me to come in early to accommodate their schedule and then let me sit there for 40 minutes literally without being spoken to. My stylist was no where to be seen so I'm assuming doing someones hair in another part of the building and not one other employee even acknowledged my existence. Everyone there wasn't the least bit friendly and the energy in the whole salon was just bad. When checking out I mentioned that I had to wait for a while after being asked to come in early last minute and I simply got "Yeah. I was running behind" No apology or anything. Could not be more unapologetic. Ultimately, do I like my color? Yes. But for $325 dollars BEFORE tip it was not worth it. Single process, no cut, no face shaping. Literally just color and blowdry and a very unpleasant experience for $325 so I will probably not be returning. If they were the least bit apologetic I may feel differently but at this price point the customer service should be much better and I don't want to spend 400 dollars to leave somewhere not feeling good about what I spent my money on. read more

I laughed so many times at the salon, it was entertaining and fun and felt like a real treat. Her shop assistant Cat is a character and they make a great team. The coffee is yummy, the place is beautiful and most of all Giana is GOOD at what she does. The color is magnificent and I love my short hair. I like to see this because many hair stylists give the saaaaame look to everyone... how can that achieve the best results for all clients?... The story: For years, I couldn't get my hair color right. Blonde to brunette, brunette to blonde. I saw a picture of a cool toned blonde, and thought this could be the answer. Many salons turned me yellow, orange, green, and some fried :(. I understand going blonde takes a while, but after a couple years it was all talk and no results. Then I came across Industry's Instagram and saw the mega variety of strikingly beautiful, straight out of LA hair, and booked an appointment right away, duh! In one try, Gianna gave me the coolest toned blonde I've been looking for, and after just a couple months it is PERFECT!! Now my skin tone looks better, my makeup looks better, and my hair is in the most beautiful condition because she knows how to get results while not frying your hair. Really, the more she works with my hair the better the condition gets, and it grows like a weed. Giana is the most talented hair stylist (truly a hair artist) I have ever met. She was patient with me, worked through and enhanced my vision. We created my dream wedding hair style together and by the end of our first meeting I felt like I had a friend who was genuinely invested in making me look and feel my best. I had a day time wedding and had to start my hair at 4:30AM in New York. She showed up ready to go at 4:20AM. My hair was mostly down with waves and the style held for FOURTEEN hours without one curl falling out. How she did this, I have no idea! My hair looked perfect- it lasted all night and looked just as good after drinking and dancing all night as the moment I left the salon.
