Suspecting they were taking advantage of her, we consulted Tommy, our trusted mechanic in Knoxville, who confirmed our doubts. Although we managed to retrieve the car, my daughter still paid a lot for almost nothing. This time - when her car stopped running again - we found Brian. He quickly fixed the car and charged us a fair (and low) cost (based on Tommy's estimation). He was also accommodating, accepting the car after hours, and is someone we trust to not take advantage of those who don't know much about cars. At their recommendation, I let them perform AC maintenance on my car. Unfortunately, after this maintenance, my car's fan no longer worked on the lowest three settings. The previous mechanic told me that this was because of a leak and quoted me $980 just for the replacement part (they wanted a couple hundred more for labor). I asked Carroll's for a second opinion, and they fixed my car less than 24 hours later for just $182 total. We know that he knew about these things because he cleaned the snow off the car himself when they picked it up. They had to fix that out of pocket right off the lot. The car has overheated every day and we found duct tape on the valve covers. He patched it long enough to dump it on some kids. Despicable person. He has been given several opportunities to make it right, but refuses to even let them trade it for something else. He should be ashamed of himself. If he really knew Jesus, he wouldn't be able to treat people this way.
