You choose your date, time and whether you are dropping off or waiting. When we pulled up, a very nice gentleman immediately greeted us, circled the car to verify its condition and took us inside. We were introduced to Lonnie, our Service Advisor. He was extremely nice, saw our low mileage and suggested we would be fine with one oil change a year. Wait. What?! A DEALERSHIP service department that SAVES you money? That is a new and wonderful experience for us. We went on our lunch date very happy. The app gives you updates on your appointment and Lonnie called us when it was ready. We picked it up, no bad surprises and he even applied a coupon for me! I got all 3 services, parts and labor, for less than $75.00. Not a typo. I was happy with Flow Subaru when we bought the car and now this excellent service is icing on the cake! read more

after purchasing my 2022 Outback which was sold and documented as a new vehicle I drove it home to Hicikory a distance of 50 mile. On setting my odometer I discoveed the vehicle had 750 mile on the odometer. I also discover it had a small dent in the right rear door. On talking by phone with management and receiving assurance that my complaint woud be properly addressed. My wife and I went to look/purchase a new Subaru Outback Limited as her car had been totaled in a wreck. We wanted to take advantage of the 0% financing. I called the before hand and told them we were expecting a check for $6100 from the insurance company to put down as a down payment. "Not a problem" I was told. We went to Flow Subaru and I again told him about the insurance check and I could transfer money from other accounts to cover the $6100 BUT that they would need to hold off in cashing that check. Again, "no problem". Several days later I noticed that my paycheck had not been credited to my account. I called the bank and was informed that a check for $6100 had been submitted! It gets worse with this dealership. I was told that we qualified for the 0% finance given my credit score of 833. I received the information from Chase Bank about the car loan and the interest rate was 1.9%. To me, that is bait and switch. Stay away from Flow Subaru and other Flow dealerships and I assume they are the same. read more

To top it off my car was broken into and Flow Subaru said they will fix the door and window but will not replace my rx sunglasses I need to drive safely. I called ahead and made an appointment with the sales manager, because I knew a purchase during an active lease from out of state would be a little tricky. I showed up, and the sales manager had pawned me off on a brand new sales rep, who did not know the answer to any of my questions. For THREE HOURS I waited, with the sales rep, for the sales manager to have time to speak with me. THREE HOURS. When I brought this up, he snapped back, "it's really busy, you should have made an appointment with me." I told him I did, and he said, "oh well, make another one later." During these 3 hours it was obvious that the sales rep was terrified to interrupt the sales manager and was being snapped at every time he went to ask a question. I brought this up to a few Suburu driving friends who all shared that Flow is the worst suburu location and they drive to Greensboro or other cities just to avoid talking to the sales staff at Flow. Bought a new 2017 Impreza Sport on April 15, 2017. Check oil light came on at 2500 miles. First engine rebuilt at 5500 miles. Only short block was replaced with original used parts put back on new block. Second engine continues to use an appalling amount of oil. Was told that the manual transmissions have a problem. Second oil consumption test started at 11,500 miles. Was told when a redesigned piston ring was available, a third short block would be ordered. I was really excited about my new car, but now all I feel is disappointment. VIN is 4S3GTAL64H1729989. I should have stayed with Honda. Subaru is making bad engines and Flow is unable to resolve the issue. read more

While waiting for my vehicle to be serviced, I was in their waiting area and I heard a sales lady finishing up a sale for a new subie, to a couple and the sales lady tried to sell them a subaru extended warranty. The couple asked if they could buy the extended warranty later. The sales lady lied to them and said if you buy it later, the price will go up and the coverage will go down (this is fraud!). First of all, this is fact: if the price goes up, it is because of inflation or a national price increase. The price does not go up pro rated by the month, meaning if you wait, the price continuously goes up just because your car is getting older by the month and other new buyers get a lower price just because their car is newer. Next, the sales lady said that the coverage goes down the longer you wait to buy it. False, for the subaru extended warranty, the same parts are covered whenever you buy it, as long as it is before the 3yr/36000 mile factory warranty expires. To make matters worse, she quoted a price that was $800 more than what i paid at the subaru dealer in greensboro! How do I know about pricing? I bought a subaru extended warranty at the greensboro dealer and they did not try to lie to me. Before buying it in greensboro, I even asked flow subaru to match the price. Flow said no way. Just wanted people to know that flow subaru charges more for the extended warranty and for their new vehicles as well...I bought my vehicle elsewhere and when I asked Flow to match the other dealer's car price, again they said no way. Now for their service department, they also do not match prices when the price is too low for them. For example I asked them to match the greensboro suabaru service dept's price on a synthetic oil change for $53 (with online coupon) out the door and flow subaru again said they cannot match prices that low. read more

I decided to buy a Subaru for my work drive car to keep the miles down on my other cars. Horrible service. I called today and was told there was a week and a half wait for service. You have got to be kidding. I can see my doctor and maybe even get surgery quicker. Service at this place needs to be overhauled and either get more organized or hire more techs. This is a review of the Flow Subaru dealership. Very shifty. Tried to pin them down on a very important promise they made over the phone. I asked a simple question 3 times to 3 employees. All 3 gave a different answer. When I mentioned this they claimed I must be miss remembering. In short, Flow does not stand behind their verbal promises, and made me and my wife waste a 100 mile round trip. They will say anything to get you in the door. We are are seriously considering a Subaru for our next vehicle. Based on some of the pre owned they had listed we drove to Winston to check out Flow. Super disappointed. It was early afternoon on Friday. We walked the lot for 30 to 45 minutes with out being approached. Three other older couples came during that time frame and all three were helped and we saw two drive out for test drives. Not sure if it was our age or attire that made this business think we weren't a serious buyer? Also the lot is very dangerous and not well marked. I used to take my car here for service, but the last time I went it was for a persistent noise that I was hearing which was concerning. They "looked" at my car, and test drove it, and decided it was duct tape stuck to my tire (which I knew it was not). When I left I still heard the noise, so I made an appointment to try to get the problem fixed. The next appointment was in the distant future, and I was about to drive my car 1000 miles, which I told them. I asked if the problem could be dangerous, and they said they couldn't be sure. They let me drive the 1000 miles! When I brought my car back in they found the problem, and had to replace the axel. I will never forgive them for letting me drive 1000 miles on a damaged axel. read more

I didn't buy my 2016 Crosstrek here, but I took it here to be serviced. This was honestly the most amazing car dealership I've ever been to. It was clean, including the bathrooms, they have WiFi, snacks, everyone is so nice there. Let me tell you exactly HOW nice: I had to wait with my 3 year old son who has a sensory processing disorder. He is not fully autistic, but not a 'regular' child. He won't sit still like a 'normal' kid and when he is somewhere new (especially somewhere new that he likes!), he gets EXTREMELY excited, running around yelling, flapping his hands, trying to explore everywhere. No one there was rude to him or I, and he was allowed to explore. He absolutely loved it there and no one gave him rude looks for being 'different' (which has happened at other places, unfortunately). My car was ready in less than an hour, service staff was very kind. Thank you very much, Flow Subaru of Winston. Our experience with our sales person, David Hudspeth, was excellent. Best test drive ever! He was very personable, knowledgeable and organized. The whole buying process took only about 2 hours (it would have been less, they were very busy) and that included a tutorial on how to use all the features in our new Subaru. We were not as impressed with the person who tried to sell us the warranties. They almost seemed put-off that we declined the coverage. Thus, not a 5 star review. I was an out of town visitor. I wanted to get my forester checked out because it was making a loud sound. Everybody was friendly and helpful. The waiting room was clean and the seating was comfortable. The service manager kept me informed as to what they were checking and how the repairs were progressing. Lucky for me the work was covered under the cars warranty and it cost me nothing. The repair was completed quickly. I would say the experience was very pleasant.
