Boy, did we have fun shopping here! I'm not as shoe crazy as my spouse, so I only got one pair unlike his four, I think it was? EXPERIENCE: This store is located in the Waikele Premium Outlets in a medium-sized spot in the mall's west end. Parking is horrendous. The shop was neat and organized, with shoe samples on display and the inventory stacked on shelves right behind the display. It's mainly a self-serve kind of operation but an abundant amount of staff buzz around offering assistance. Vans has a nice selection of men's shoes in a variety of colors and patterns, but the only thing that irks me is their label that's glued onto the back of the soles that aren't even flat but protrude up on one side due to a bump in the design. I picked up a low top in ash gray with accents of black plaid and cement gray soles. And on top of that, everything in the store was BOGO half-off. Every single item! We saved bookoo bucks! And for the record, don't think their products are defective or irregular because it's an outlet store; there's nothing wrong with them. The workers were all very friendly and helpful; so unlike what I'm accustomed to on Maui where you get no acknowledgment or assistance. The female cashier who assisted us was terrific too and very patient as she walked us over to where the shoe laces were and assisted us instead of just pointing them out. OVERALL: We found such great deals here and at other stores in Waikele, so they're definitely on our must-do list when visiting Oahu. Unfortunately for me, today was not my day to secure a little bit of my youth, as the checkered board kicks were available at this store...........but unfortunately they didn't have my shoe size. Shucks! Now don't feel back for me, as I decide to walk around the store to see what else they had here, and guess what???? I found an unreal deal!!! What did I find? I found a great pair of special edition 50th year anniversary shoes in blue for just $19.99, but it doesn't end here gang............as I was walking up to pay for my wonderful find, a girl clerk told me if I buy this pair of shoes, I can get another pair for 'FREE!!!!" Whaaaaaaaaaaat????? No ways man!!! Can we say DEALAGES YO!!!! Aiyah, I gonna faint from this unreal deal!!! So I go back to the rack where I got my kicks, and pick up another pair of cool kicks! Yes gang...........two pairs for Vans kicks for - ($20.89 with tax), that comes up to approximately $10.45 per pair of kicks!!!! WOW!!!! I'm gonna say it again.....Wooooow!!! The Vans Outlet shoe store not only sells shoes here, they also sell clothing too! Service was great today, and I appreciate the friendly girl clerk that told me about the deal today! MAHALO Sistah! Yesterday my friend needed some help exchanging her sons shoes. The gentleman behind the counter who's name I did not catch was awesome! The young man had darker hair and large gauge in both ears. He called two stores and then went back into the store to actually look! And he was able to find what we were looking for! I was so happy for my friend because these shoes were cute and they seemed rare! I have always liked vans anyway ( yes I am 33 and will still rock Vans) This young mans help was awesome! I think it had a lot todo with me and my friends patience:) most of the time people think a snotty attitude will get them help...wrong! Walked into the Vans store today with my GF looking for restaurant industry (limited slip) shoes and got helped out by Trea who was extremely helpful. The store didn't have her size in stock by Trea suggested that he could look online for us. Although at first I said no thanks, after a few mins later, he kindly insisted again. Vans ALWAYS has a deal going on! Whether it be their cheap $10-$30 clothing items or affordable shoes. I like vans because their comfortable, stylish, and they help me fill out my weekday swag wardrobe so that I might do my dougie on the daily. I'm joking about the last part. There's a great guy selection and all the staff has always been great up until today: One manager was I guess clocking out for lunch, and was about to leave but one of her associates needed help. I wanted to write this good review to compliment this vans store. I've been here few times recently for my minor's shoes needs and wants. The youth staff at the store are very cool and checks with you for any service. They make sure you're served and acknowledged. I assume they trained their staff well. These days I'm surprised when I received good customer service & they acknowledge you. For 2 pairs of shoes, I paid $60. That was buy one & 2nd pair 50% off. I say that's a good deal. I came into the store when it was almost time to close. The workers were very gentle, nice and they assisted me with everything. I didn't ask for their names, but the 2 girls that helped me were very sweet and I really appreciated their help. One of them had short red hair and the other cashier was tall with long hair. My receipt shows that Heather and Veronica helped me, but I'm not sure if those are their names. It was the end of a long day but they were still very friendly. Even after coming home I am still thinking of the great customer service that I received. I highly recommend anyone to go there, and I will be coming back again! read more

Did some last minute shopping here before they closed at 6pm today. Was looking for some velcro shoes for my son since his school requires it. He tried on a few different colors and we were able to find one he liked. They have the shoes clipped together by a security tag so you can't walk around in the kids shoes. They have a lot of sales staff but only one cashier considering had a line no other staff helped open the second register. The cashier needed some help. read more

the person who help us today named hana, we came to change size of the shoe and shirt we bought. receipt was presented they don't have the size we wanted. as she claimed being one of the manager she should have a better customer service how to handle situation if the item was out of stock. first it wasn't our fault, we are not the one who does inventory, or yet she should do better when counting and putting their orders. but what makes me upset todays visit she made us pay the difference of the shoes we exchange which is fine but then with the shirt since they dont have medium we told them can the shirt pay for the difference for the shoes since im not taking it anymore, they take it and still charging me with the difference and when i ask about the shirt credit they said that was "nothing"because the shirt was free from previous transaction. so im giving the shirt back for nothing how stupid i am to give you something i paid and not getting any credit back! 40mins for return/exchange process. very stressful process and visit manager don't even have small consideration how can she make the customer leave the store happy and keep the business with them. poor management! read more

Saturday shopping in Waikele and the BF wanted to check out shoes... as if he doesn't have enough already... I swear he has as much as ME! :/ Anywho... we weren't greeted by anyone when we entered and we weren't asked if we needed help by anyone either... it was SUPER busy but I don't think that's an excuse... He perused and tried on a couple pairs he liked but they didn't have his size. There was someone in the aisle (male employee) and he asked the BF if he needed any help so at that time my BF inquired about more sizes in the back. Since everything that was out was all that they had... we left without making a purchase. Comparing this location to the Ala Moana store on the dates we visited... First of all as soon as I walk in the store looking for a pair of boardshorts, I hear the sales person announce that the current deal is "buy 1, get 1 FREE". HUH? Last time I was in here it was "buy 1, get 1 half off". Therefore I ask the sales person if I heard it right and he says yup " buy 1 get 1 FREE" is the new deal, with the change just being announced at the end of February. I ended up getting a pair of the Surf Trunk model (which sell for $69.95 to $99.95 in non-outlet Vans stores and on the Vans website) and a good looking pair of regular Vans trunks for just 39.95 for BOTH pairs. I just went in to get a gift card for my daughter. I was greeted immediately as soon as I walked in the door. Staff was friendly and helpful. I didn't wait too long to checkout even though the store was busy. I asked the cashier if she had an empty box I could have and she was able to find one in her collection of discarded ones. There wasn't anything that I really needed help with, but I thought that the atmosphere was very chill, nobody was freaking out with getting their purchases or anything so I felt like the store was under control. . read more

I've been to vans before and the service was always okay. nothing great or spectacular, but this visit was horrible. there were 5 sales people on the floor and all they did was say "hi" and walk by me. acknowledging me is great (annoying after the 3rd hello in less than 2 minutes), but why not ask the ever-so-popular, "you doing alright?" i guess talking amongst themselves was more important than the 15 customers in the store. i floundered around their empty store, flagged down 2 different sales associates for sizes, the first one takes it from me and tells me "we don't have anymore. only what's on the floor," just to make sure i flagged down a second sales associate and he actually went to check. when he came out of the stock room he just handed me the shoes without a word and walked away... I thought this guy had something to do, but no. he went to the registers to another worker (I'm assuming a flamboyant gay manager) and they began talking story! at one point i heard the "manager" saying how annoying customers were and how he was going to slap someone! i wanted to tell the guy maybe he needs a job behind a computer, instead i waited till this person left the registers and tried to pay for my stuff. he was only to be replaced with some short hapa looking lady with way too much make up. apparently i'm not important enough for her to get off her blackberry and ring me up. this is the last time i'm going to waikele vans. i don't care if the shoes are cheap...the customer service was garbage at best and talking about annoying customers was the icing on the cake. read more

Shop here often because my kids love wearing Vans. The prices are reasonable, staff is friendly, & I like they offer a variety of shoes for all ages. Really helpful considering my kids range from 5-12years old. We always leave with at least 2 pairs of shoes. read more

Why are all the shoes already dirty? I understand that this is an outlet store and the merchandise is discounted, but the presentation is horrible. They have torn boxes and dirty shoes!
