    Moldy exhaust fan in bathroom.

    It's too bad I am not able to leave a ZERO star review!! NEVER again would I rent from Vantage Resort Realty, nor would I rent the penthouse condo we stayed in at Highpoint South. If a realtor is unaware of the condition of a property they are representing, shame on them. If a realtor is aware of the dirty, rundown condition of the condo they are representing, more's the shame. Either way, this condo is in a state of complete disrepair, and I must call into question the integrity of the management. I am not that picky; I understand that rental units suffer wear and tear with frequent use. Nevertheless, I expect that the unit I rent will actually be fairly represented by the pictures posted by the management. Well, take a look at those pictures, and then forget about them. Those pictures do not show the moldy exhaust fan or the missing towel racks in the bathroom, the crooked bed in the front bedroom, the broken closet door in the bay bedroom, the dirty rugs and furniture, or the cracked, unstable plastic deck furniture. Unfortunately, even pictures cannot document the musty smell that creeps up as you go upstairs, or the damp mustiness of the front bedroom. Unfortunately, it wasn't until after I had already paid for my week's rental that the first negative review had been posted. If only I'd waited... Why did I not call Vantage to complain? Because the amount of work required on this unit would have cleaning crews and repairmen in our unit for the entire week. If they cared so little that they actually rented this unit in the first place, I had no hope that my concerns would be addressed with little more than a band-aid. So, I bought cleaning supplies and cleaned; then I covered the furniture with sheets and kept my shoes on for a whole week. (At least I was able to take them off on the beach). I rented this unit in good faith, and I feel that good faith was not returned. Disappointed? No. I am disgusted. I will be following up with the OC Better Business Bureau, and Chamber of Commerce. My hope is that another family does not have to spend a week of vacation wishing they never left home.

    I wouldn't go as far to say that I had the worst experience renting a condo on Sunset Island from Vantage Reality, but it should be noted that I have once been on fire. Being on fire isn't cool (pun intended). Vantage Reality makes a chunk of money by renting vacation properties to people. My family and I rented a condo form them in Ocean City. The condo was just fine - not fancy but not a sink hole - and the price was right, although it was during the dwindling down point of peak season around Labor Day. For starters, don't even think about an early check in; they don't do it. Check out is at 10am, and check in is at 3pm... that's it. You'd think to yourself, "Good. Give the cleaning staff all the time they need", right? The condo was a mess. It looked like the cleaning staff straightened it up a bit, ran a vacuum over the floor and left. We had dust and filth all along the base boards and air vents, an undeterminable sticky mess on the counter tops, something yellow and crusty on the drapes, the carpet had foodstuff imbedded in it, coffee stains on the back patio, cigarette butts on the floor and the dryer vent was so clogged with lint that if someone were to run the dryer while you were on the patio lint would literally rain down on you like it was confetti and your team just won the Super Bowl. Not to mention that we were under the impression all necessary cleaning supplies would be supplied to us for our visit. That wasn't true. We had to go out and buy cleaning solvent and Windex amongst other things. I doubt the condo owners even have any idea that's going on with their place. And although we didn't meet them, they seemed nice (they left us a bunch of board games). We got a kick out of playing Monopoly one night. That crazy Monopoly man and his moustache... he just can't seem to stay out of jail, can he? In close, maybe you don't care about the cleanliness of a condo you rent from this company... I don't know. I'm just letting you know to expect this scenario because I write Yelp reviews for the American working man, because that's what I am and that's who I care about.

    DISGUSTING BUGS EVERYWHERE

    BUGS!!!!! AND LYING REALTORS!!!! Just recently stayed at 40 Canal Walk Lane. And while it looked beautiful online and when we first got there, boy did we have another thing coming. The first night one of the ceilings in the room was literally DRIPPING WATER ON TO ONE OF THE BEDS!!! That entire room became inhabitable. Now before I get to my next point let me explain the House. 4 floors. A bedroom on 1. Living area and kitchen on 2. 3 bedrooms on 3. 1 bedroom on 4. Night 2 - THE ENTIRE AIR CONDITIONING STOPPED WORKING ON FLOORS 3 & 4! We literally could not use 4 bedrooms because it was so hot! To make it worse we found bugs and ants EVERYWHERE (see attached photo). It was literally disgusting. To make matters worse - when I called about the issues I was given the runaround several times. I barely got in touch with a Kiersten who only offered us back $400!!! $400 back for a house that cost over $3,000 for the Thursday - Sunday we used it for. I will NEVER use Vantage again and I hope with all my heart they get what's coming to them. Awful customer service businesses should be extinct, ASAP.

    Absolutely horrid customer service and standards! Arriving at the building, we were first initially disappointed to find that the owners were too cheap to provide us with Wifi and that our two parking spaces seemed to be the only ones separated on two different floors (all other units have side by side parking spaces). But, we were willing to overlook that as nothing more than a minor inconvenience. However, when we arrived in our unit (Belmont Towers, Unit 606) we were hit with a smell of cigarette smoke (in a supposedly non-smoking unit). We then began to notice much more wrong with our supposedly "luxury" condo. Broken microwave vent cover that fell on me when I opened the microwave. A dishwasher full of dishes that were our job to put away. A screen door that fell into the glass coffee table, 75% of the light bulbs were out throughout the condo. Broken light switches,etc. But worse than that, the couch was stained, not only with dirt and sweat, but with what looked like blood and feces. We wouldn't let our kids sit on it. There was hair and dirt in the shower (which the floor was still wet as if someone had just showered), grittiness on the floors to the point I didn't want to take my shoes off. The return air vent for the AC was coated in dust. Gum on the corner of closet floors. As we unpacked, my husband tried yo call Vantage, but they had closed for the day. So he called the emergency number. He was told these issues did not warrant an emergency and we'd have to wait. 3 more wasted hours into our vacation and we finally got them to send someone to clean. I didn't rent a Spring Break crash pad. I rented a luxury, family vacation unit. I expected nice furniture and decor with cute little beach touches (as I gave become accustomed over the past 7 dimmers that we have travelled to Ocean City). What we got was garbage. We will never rent at the Belmont again and will certainly never use Vantage Resort Realty.

    Don't use them!!! Go elsewhere!!! This rental experience has been bittersweet. Nice location at sunset island but the unit 37 FDW was dirty upon arrival!!! The more we looked the more we saw. Here's the list: 1.mold n mildew in both bathrooms 2. Hair n dirt in tub n showers 3. Dirty floors 4. Broken furniture 5. Dirty stained furniture 6. Broken lamps 7. Blown light bulbs 8. Odor musty smell 9. Dirty old bedding - good thing we didn't get a line Pkg. can u imagine how nasty that would be? 10. Toilet in need of repair bc it runs all night 11. Bugs 12. Old TVs (pre hdmi) 13. Cable channels that don't work on all TVs 14. Remotes that don't work 15. Ring around the tub 16. Blinds too short n missing slats 17. Soap scum so thick shower doors look foggy

    The whole shower was black. Gross!!!!! The decor was 1970's and I don't think they have cleaned it since then.

    This was not only a filthy disgusting condo, but the key also did not work when we arrived late Friday. We had to wait 3 hours to get in which was 11:30 at night. I had to purchase cleaning supplies because the shower was literally black. I shudder now just thinking about it. The place smelled like vomit and there may have been some on the carpet and wall. The dishwasher disposal was broken and leaked all over the floor, I contacted the rental company (Vantage Resort Realty) three times and they have yet to respond. DO NOT STAY AT THEIR PROPERTIES. RUN AWAY.

    I found Vantage , their rental agents, office and maintanence staff professional, curteous, helpful and genuinely kind before, during and after my stay. They were extremely accomodating. The condo I rented in the Irene was exactly as promised. It was spotless and beautiful. I would not hesitate for one moment to rent again from this Realty company. The agent I worked with directly was forthcoming on the several properties I had considered renting. She was upfront and her word was gold. Thank you Patti!

I recently went to sell my condo and I asked for resale docs I was given two different prices. I also have not paid my condo dues in six months and was planning on paying everything at closing, which is three weeks from now but they threaten to put a lien on my condo and wouldn't accept to get paid at closing. The lien would have been filed Aug.1st and closing is Sept.13th. These people are really unreasonable and I would steer clear of using them to manage you home let alone your dog house. Also look at the reviews posted. One is by the owner which you can figure out which one is him and a couple of people they know including a window contractor that probably isn't licensed like the guy they had sent to look at my floors 3 years ago. Steer clear!!! Rude and unreasonable especially with everyone dealing with a pandemic, but when their family member died they needed time to cope and put condo owners on the back burner. What a joke! In my opinion I would never have them manage my trash can in front of my building. My 3 year old would do a better job. See pics attached.

After some issues arose in which I was helpless to handle from a distance, Mike went above and beyond to handle them, while making sure to look out for my best interests in the process. He and Lisa have shown that it doesn't require a huge company to handle things. What it requires is an honest team that cares about their clients. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to have their property managed on the Eastern Shore. There fees are way more reasonable then other property managers and their polices and procedures are much better. I plan to utilize them as long as I still own my rental.

We've rented from Sandcastle for many years, always taking pride in leaving every home spotless and following every checkout instruction. Yet in recent years, we've faced repeated problems getting our security deposits back -- endless delays, vague accusations, and outright lies about the condition of the properties. This past summer was the final straw. After a storm from Hurricane Erin, we reached out several times to have the pool cleaned. We were ignored for most of the week, leaving the pool filthy and unusable for our kids. Still, we cleaned the house thoroughly before leaving -- wiped surfaces, swept floors, scrubbed bathrooms, and made sure everything was in better shape than when we arrived. We even took photos and video as proof. Months later, we were told we wouldn't be getting our security deposit back because the house was supposedly left a "mess." That claim is completely false -- and honestly insulting. Our family includes members with health conditions that made us extra careful about cleanliness. The whole experience has felt dishonest and exploitative. After decades of happy memories in Bethany Beach, it's heartbreaking that Sandcastle Realty has made it stressful to come here. Based on how they've handled our last few rentals, it feels like the owner, Doug, is running a scam -- taking people's deposits under false pretenses and violating Delaware law. To anyone thinking of renting from this company: beware. The home might look lovely online, but the peace of mind and trust that make a vacation special are long gone. What a sad way to end so many years of family tradition.

Too many delays and lies on why the security deposit was not refunded has resulted in our conclusion that the owner Doug is running a scam operation taking tenants security deposit based on false allegations and in violation of Delaware law. To those reading this review and considering renting a house from this business ... BEWARE! The security deposit you pay is most likely to become a donation to Doug unless you want to retain an attorney and file suit to get it back.

The front door does not latch, or close for that matter, so you have to use the deadbolt. Called the company and they did sent someone out to clean the condo but never got a follow up from the company. You would not have read this review it someone had just called to check in with us. If you own a rental property, they will rent it to absolute savages who will destroy your property. Even if you come in as soon as the tenant leaves and see the damage with your own eyes, CB will refuse to hold back any security deposit. Oddly though lots of complaints here are from tenants who rented garbage units through CB and were docked security for clogging drains. Funny because I was told today that clogging brand new plumbing is "wear and tear." Maybe CB is just a giant scam on both ends. The owners get treated like garbage and so do the tenants. I've had either reckless tenants or terrible cleaning crews. But there is no recourse with the tenants when they damage your unit. And they will damage your unit. Vicki Burrs knows one answer to a problem--we don't care. That's her go to when lying doesn't work. But she'll lie too. If you're renting in OC, stay away from CB 118th street. If you own a rental unit stay away from CB Vacations 118th street. Go directly to Vacasa. Hopefully once the transition is over, Vacasa will fire the rude, incompetent staff and replace them with people who take pride in their work. They're a disgrace to the service industry. These agencies are holding on by a thread because AirB&B provides better service for renters and better property management for owners. Plus they cut out the lazy inept middle men. Stay way from Coldwell Banker. They're an embarrassment to themselves and an insult to everyone they deal with.
