June 18th, I ingested the tainted chocolates bought at Smoke Side the day before. As soon as I was physically able, I called to notify them what had happened to prevent further harm to anyone else. That was my only agenda. An hour later, I'm assuming after they researched my claims themselves, *they* called back very concerned and offered to rectify a situation I hadn't even thought of and suggested to refund/exchange my purchase price. I NEVER ASKED FOR ANYTHING because I wasn't blaming them!!! They offered. Which was cool. I accepted and came in the next day only to be treated with suspicion until I could be helped by the person who was familiar with the situation. Fine. Whatever. I received my refund and was also offered an in-store credit. I was a bit disappointed by the previous employee's attitude so I accepted and opted to come back at a later date to use it. August, today, came back to use my in-store credit and was told by the original employee from day 1 and 2 that I was mistaken and I was only offered one credit or the other. Remember, I never asked for or expected anything and in their attempts to make a bad situation better they just made the victim feel like a piece of by not remembering their own promises. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. There will not be a third time as I will not spend my money in an establishment that has made a habit of being reckless in their dealings with their customers. Well, at least this one, anyway.

Not sure what type of business model is being followed here, but if you spend $15 on a product that is defective, you either refund the customer OR you find a non-defective device. Or maybe this business prefers taking their customers money and selling defective products....the latter of which is not the recipe for running a successful business.
