We found this family owned company at a home show about 5yrs ago and they came out to help us replace our wooden stair rails with custom designed wrought iron ones. We liked the designs showcasing their work at the home show so much we invited them to give us an estimate and help come up with the design. They were in touch with us every step of the way, from final design to colors and installation. We even went out to their warehouse and saw the work in progress. That is why we hired them again to do our front security door. Their pricing is fair and they do all custom designs, but you can also choose from their hundreds of pictures of work they already completed for other customers. We just finished having ironwork added to our block wall. We chose Vargas because of their work ethics and value. We wanted to support a family owned/run business. Vargas installed our fences around our pool about 10 years ago so we called them along with 3 other companies. We chose Vargas again because we knew they would make sure we were completely satisfied with the final product. Customer service is a huge factor in who my husband and I deal with. Just bought a house in Henderson with wrought iron fencing. The rabbits were freely coming in and eating the landscaped yard. My 5 lb yorkie could also walk right out of the yard ...I got several outrageous quotes and was nervous to spend that kind of money to make my fence look like a mess with protective mesh. Luis came over and gave us a very reasonable quote and that included repairs that were very badly needed. He then got approval from our HOA in 1 day, came out as scheduled, and did a fantastic job lining and repairing our fence. His workers were professional and thorough. Thank you Vargas Ironworks! Vargas was 3 weeks late on delivery of gate and only showed up after we called 5 times. We were told each time we called, that the gate was being painted. When they did finally show up, the installers did not bring the gate with double screens as written in the contract, so were unable to complete the install as ordered. Interesting to note that when we went out to look at the incomplete gate install, the installer told us not to touch it because he had just painted it and the paint was wet. So, why again did we have to wait three extra weeks for the gate to be painted?? The stories just don't add up. We were then promised that the crew would return early the following week to fix all of the problems, but we never heard from anyone. We called on Friday morning and were told the crew would be at our home in "an hour or so."After more than two and a half hours, we got a call saying the crew would not be coming today. Worst customer service ever! Do not use Vargas Ironworks!!!! read more

I can't say enough good things about Vargas Ironworks. This is a family owned company that's been in the business for several generations. Their work is all done by hand and done locally at their shop. They take a tremendous amount of pride in their work and the end product really shows. I hired them to make some security gates, window security/solar screen covers and custom security panels for my doors. Four sided welding on every bar and very neatly done welds. I ordered everything powder coated; the quality of the finish is top shelf. One of the rolling doors was closing a little funky, so they did what it took to make it right and didn't leave until I was satisfied. read more

The quality and creative design have us so pleased that we can't wait to show it off. The fit is perfect as they did a dry run with the railings before painting and installation. I had them do a fence for me and the final product is very nice. They completed the project in the time they said they would and always showed up to work on time. The crew were nice and fixed any items I thought were not correct. The reason for the 4 stars is because, like another reviewer said, it did take some prodding on my part to get the project done exactly as it should have been. The fence in one area was not even, seemed to have been eyeballed installed of measured, and some of the painting was not done correctly. They did fix the items I mentioned and I am happy with the end product, but wish I did not have to step in to tell them to do things that should be done correctly the first time. read more

This place and the people who work there are WONDERFUL! We've had several gates made by them and also had the mesh added to existing gates at our house. They do excellent work at an affordable and fair price. I even had to cancel a job recently and they refunded me all but 10%. I cannot testify as to the quality of the work. It amazes me that this guy spent money to get a booth at the home show but was so busy talking to the booth next door he was ignoring potential customers. It's okay, I just signed a contract for $8,500 with a competitor of his. Its just amazing to me to waste money on a booth if you're not there to sell. read more

Having improvements made to your home can be intimidating. We put in pavestones to create a patio area in front of our house. Next we needed to fence the area in. the first company I had stop by, the guy seemed in a hurry and wasn't explaining what he would be doing very well. Since I don't know what I'm doing in this arena, that was a big concern. So I had received a card from Luis' company and asked him to come by for a quote. Long story short, he was patient and took the time to explain my options. He made some good suggestions that complemented what I had in mind. So we gave him the job. The end result is perfect. Not knowing what to expect, I'm extremely satisfied with the result. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that some of the steps in the project did not happen without prodding on my part. We did this at the beginning of spring, so maybe they had too many projects going at once. But I did have to make calls and then hope that he followed through. But he always did and we couldn't be more pleased with our fence and gate. read more
