There was continuous and steady progress, and I usually was invited over each week to check on the progress of work. The project was well timed. The initial estimate was for around 5 months. It ended up taking 5 months and 3 weeks. The small delay was due to city permitting back-and-forth and weather, which all seemed understandable. The cost estimate was also quite accurate. We only went less-than-10% over, and generally due to things that we decided to upgrade partway through, or issues we discovered only after tearing open the walls. They also had a one year warranty on issues with the work, which they have honored with no hassle. Ultimately the company acts with integrity, and in this industry that's saying a lot.

I wanted to redo the inside of my entire house (yes, EVERY inch) and didn't know who to work with. I was given quotes that were 3-4x my budget and had a contractor pull out of the project 2 weeks before my scheduled demolition. I got super discouraged until i found Frame Build & Design. They were able to work with what I had and made my experience very enjoyable. They provided me a rendering of what the inside of my house would theoretically look like, and I can confidently say that it looks pretty darn close to the pictures! I'm so pleased with how all my cabinets & fixtures turned out. I appreciate Idan for answering all my questions and dealing with my complaints. He was patient with me and would send a guy over to fix or add things that I wanted (like outlets on the ceiling for my speakers, patching holes, etc). He went above and beyond to get permits for renovating, be there for city inspections, and keeping me posted on progress. I will say however that if you are planning to hire this team, you will need to be hands on. This means being involved in EVERY decision! I had to pick out all my materials on my own to match the rendering provided in the beginning. FB&D provided some locations I could check out, but it required a lot of research on my end. It felt overwhelming as a first time home owner, but this is pretty normal from what I understand. FB&D had an interior designer on this project and she was a HUGE help in decision making. There's no perfect contractor. Yes there were some communication issues and yes there were some imperfections. Yes it took 2x my timeline. What renovation doesn't? But ultimately the FB&D team were very accommodating with my feedback and gave me my DREAM home. And I can say 7 months into living here, everything is still holding up great and nothing has broken!
