Multiple layers of security, cameras everywhere, blah blah blah. You can get all the technical details on their website. Great place to beat the heat on a hot day however! The AC is the most powerful around next to meat locker. Wear ear plugs because the drone will drive you insane after a few hours. I especially enjoyed sprinting down the mile long corridors to shake the cobwebs out after a 20 hr day sitting there installing systems. Just be careful you don't slip on the coated concrete floors and put your forehead into one of the many electrical panels they have sticking out in random spots. Don't ask how I know. Those monstrosities are a lawsuit waiting to happen. Since this is a "Green" building, all the lights in this place are motion sensitive. They only turn on if they detect motion. From growing up in da Bronx back in the day, I've developed some formidable speed that has remained with me now. Let's just say that past a certain terminal velocity, you'll be going too fast to trigger the lights. Plus you'll give the security guards a good workout as they try to figure out what the hell is turning on all the lights at random points on the floor. And if you get the privilege of working here on the weekends, the empty corporate park can be used as a combination NASCAR racetrack and road course. Triple digit speeds are easily reached (with the right car of course, Hertz and Avis rental specials need not apply) and you can drag race or drift around all day. Just watch out for the random landscapers that will pop out of the bushes on Sunday mornings however. They do jump out of the way pretty damn quick if you surprise them skidding out around a corner at them. Just be careful not to run over any of the equipment they drop while getting out of your way. Not good for your tires. Good job guys!

Bottom-line, if you find yourself in a position to be looking for a co-location facility, you likely already have done the research to know which facilities have the accreditations you require to hold your data. Additionally, if you are in the market for a co-location, you also have done the research on what it would cost to provide power, space, cooling at another company owned facility. It is true, there is nothing "low cost" about co-location and accreditation. Also, in order to rate a datacenter, you must have visited multiple co-location or datacenter facilities which is a likely small subset of people. One Yelper indicated the facility is colder than a meat locker. I can say for 100% certainty the temperature range is now between 67-70F as research has shown *most* systems perform optimally in this range. Most of us who work in datacenters do understand that they may be kept cooler as they are meant for electronics and not necessarily "human" comfort. There are zones that are "outside" of the cages and racks that are comfortable, have wifi, showers, vending machines and even meeting rooms. Earplugs are onsite as well. Keep in mind that cameras and biometrics are a part of upholding accreditation standards. You can keep your phone on you while inside the facility BUT you will NOT be allowed to take any pictures outside of your rented cage/area (I've only seen a handful of old pictures on the web). As for the personnel at the facility, most are Mechanical and Electrical Engineers. There is a ticketing system to have "hands-on" and "eyes-on" Server support. I do know this portion is contracted out and I have not had to leverage the service myself. It very well may be "poor quality" but I cannot comment. I will say that *if* you have equipment in this facility and require the "hands-on" and "eyes-on" you will have to provide detailed information, have your cables labeled and neatly dressed, know which number or unit in the rack the equipment resides, etc. This is for companies operating at a fairly high capabilities and maturity model. If you require co-location, you are serious about your data.
