This review is about their rehearsal space. I didn't use the recording studio or any other…read moreservices, so I can't comment on any of that. I booked a 3 hour session in their rehearsal space with a 5-piece band from 6-9 pm on a weekday. The good: CHEAP. $65 for three hours worked out to $13 per person. You can't beat that, CONVENIENT LOCATION. I live in Bethesda and love going to 7Drum City but it's too much of a hassle to get there on a weeknight. This place is one of the few rehearsal spaces out here in the burbs. The not-so-good: EQUIPMENT. The guitar and bass amps and mic were quite good. The keyboard was a joke, a cheapo gadget and not the full 88. The drum kit was in a sound booth, which made it a bit awkward, and had a cracked cymbal and some other issues. THE EXPERIENCE. This was the thing that kind of turned us off the place. We didn't realize that there is no staff on site after regular business hours. We took the elevator down to the basement level and came to a long deserted hallway of locked doors. We called the number and found out that we needed an entry code, which they gave us. We got in and had to figure out for ourselves which was the practice room. The keyboard was hard to find. We needed over-the-phone guidance. And we were under surveillance the whole time. It is probably a totally different vibe during business hours but this was just not comfortable or conducive to getting into a music mood. It was a basement with no people, no windows, no bathroom, and just felt really creepy and weird.

Great place to bring visions to life, create opportunities, rebrand as a creative and do business…read moreat a professional level. I love the partnership I've created with The Music Dept.
