He was very nice and worked very quickly and efficiently but he needed my help to lift our 77" TV. I do not blame him at all for asking for my help, but I am terribly disappointed he was sent by himself. I politely expressed my disappointment in the price I paid with his company expecting me to help him. He was very apologetic and threw in a cable concealing package which was incredibly thoughtful. I'm writing this review because I was not supposed to be home when the mounting was scheduled. My disabled spouse was going to be the only person here. Had I not been sent home from work early the technician wouldn't have been able to do the service at all! I'm not sure if it was a choice to send one technician from the start or someone didn't show up for work, either way, this should have been rescheduled so the service could be completed as it was paid for. In summary, the mount was adequately done and the technicIan was incredibly professional- his company was not. This review would have been 1 star if it were not for his character.

I hired this company through a referral from BJ's Wholesale Club, expecting professional installation. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst service experiences I have ever had. The technician arrived and spent 4 hours mounting my TV. Less than 10 minutes after he left, the TV fell completely out of the wall. After I contacted the company, the technician returned with his father and reinstalled it. That should have been the first red flag. The TV was installed in September 2025. In April 2026, the TV fell out of the wall again -- this time causing serious damage: * Destroyed my TV * Damaged my wall / sheetrock * Left me with additional repair costs I contacted FixTman LLC again, and their response was that they would do nothing because it had been more than 30 days. To make matters worse, Thumbtack Quality Assurance also stepped in and tried to help resolve the issue on my behalf. They contacted FixTman LLC directly, only to be told the exact same thing -- that I only had 30 days and they would not take responsibility. Let that sink in. A properly mounted TV should not fall out of a wall -- not once, and definitely not twice. This was not normal wear and tear. This was poor workmanship, improper installation, and a complete lack of accountability. In over 40 years, I have never seen anything like this. Please do your research before hiring this company. I will also be reporting this experience to BJ's Wholesale Club, since they referred them. I appreciate the role which FixT serves, but with Yelp as the solicitation platform, it admittedly seems like another unnecessary middleman to go through them. The contractors did miss some minor things with our playground assembly, and unfortunately the price came in higher (without notification), despite my providing the exact model and steps required for assembly at the time of soliciting. The insurability and lack of comprehensive quality guarantees is a little off putting in the end, as even other entities that exclusively use "independent contractors" such as uber, still have additional protections in place for the end customer. Overall, they were good, not perfect. The process was wonky, but worked (for the most part) in the end. I just would prefer to go directly to the contractors in the future.

They were flexible with me possibly having to re-schedule my appointment at the last minute if the cable equipment had not arrived on time. The installation team arrived at the time promised. They were polite, clean and professional. They used shoe covers, which I appreciated. I bought my own bracket and they were very familiar with it. They even uncrated my 85" TV from my move, which required them unscrewing wooden boards -- much more work than simply opening a cardboard box. Then they measured precisely, putting guide tape on the wall that they removed without leaving any marks. They also cut a hole on the wall behind the TV to run the power cord behind the wall to the outlet near the floor. The work was professionally done and looked great. They ran all the cables along the bracket, which was important because the bracket and wall would be visible when I pulled the TV out and swiveled it to seen from the kitchen, dining room or the living room. The whole process took under an hour and they didn't seem to cut any corners. The estimate was not the least expensive I received, but I felt the thoughtful questions they asked before I even accepted their quote, indicated the attention to detail that I wanted -- and I was right. I can't say if all their teams work this well, but the one that came to my house was exceptional.

I had started the job myself but got an anchor screw stuck and figured I should have a pro step in so I didn't wreck my new walls. All the supplies were here, placed where they needed to be, holes were measured and marked for custom made rods and drapes. He charges by the hour and moves very, very slow. He didn't have his own step ladder or anchor screws. In the first hour, he managed to put in 3 screws in holes that had already been marked. He claimed he "needed to remeasure" and that's why it took so long, but he used the holes that I had already marked. He also said it was too hard to do with custom cut rods. He also said it wasn't his fault because I had an anchor screw stuck in the wall already, which was the whole reason I hired him. This is what pros do: they come prepared, know the required materials and techniques, and advise the customer on the best way to proceed. I knew we needed to cut it off when he asked me how to use an anchor screw. He didn't know if you needed to pre-drill or not for a very basic and common anchor. I cannot imagine a professional handyman not knowing that. He used a level to stare at the pre-marked holes for what seemed like an eternity, just eating up time. 3 screws = $200. Seems like a nice enough man, but handyman may not be the profession for him, and that's giving him the benefit of the doubt that he wasn't just trying to take advantage of someone he assumed was too naive too know how long the job should take. He became very defensive, making excuses when I said we'd need to end the job at one hour. Im sure judging by other less than 5 star reviews here (that I really wish I'd have taken the time to read) he will post a very defensive response here as well. Please just don't take a job you don't have the required expertise to complete, and I don't want to hear defensive excuses when I'm still out $200 for almost no work completed.
