Sooooooo amazing This gym seriously checks all the boxes. First off--really awesome classes here. Like, not just filler classes... actual good workouts that leave you feeling it. The space itself is super CLEAN with a really nice aesthetic. It's big, doesn't feel cramped, and there's a huge variety of options--everything from classes to hydro massage, red light, tanning, etc. You can literally make a whole self-care day out of being here. I'm obsessed with the Studio Red class--major asskicker in the best way. Total sweat factory you will walk out drenched but feeling accomplished. Today I tried the new infrared heated yoga flow with Keli and wow... complete heaven. Such a good balance of challenging and relaxing. I left feeling reset. No need to lug around a mat ! they have plenty to use & assigned numbered spots for you and your mat - Huge perk. Honestly, this place just hits. Good sound systems throughout , Great energy, great workouts, and tons of options depending on your mood. The only 2 downsides is the parking lot , Horrible location & unsafe at night . Do not leave valuables in your car . The other is the staff , they are EXTREMELY pushy and salesy so be warned if that's not your jam . read more

( 04/12/2026)I reported this individual to management regarding unsolicited and inappropriate comments made during our workout session a few months ago. Today, as we were departing, he attempted to repeat the behavior while we were walking to our vehicle. Given the lack of seriousness displayed by management in addressing this matter, I believe it is futile to continue reporting. We have been members of other gyms nationwide, and this is the first time we have encountered such an individual who feels compelled to bother and demean other patrons, based on their perceived sexuality, while they are exercising to boost his own self-esteem. This gym is not a safe environment for exercise, and we will not be renewing our membership. I've really enjoyed my time at VASA thus far. The space is large and well equipped offering several options for fitness and also multiple of the same equipment making it easier for everyone to have opportunity. People are pretty to themselves but seemingly open to a small chat in between equipment use and/or to share. Bathrooms always feel clean as does the whole space. It's a great price how either options of the cardio/weight ($10) or the cardio/weight/classes/pool/sauna/etc deal ($25) . They have a referral program so if you'd like a code I can share. Outside of that, the staff aren't very engaging and usually are in small chat rarely saying hi, or particular to who they say hi to. Not a big deal but it's always nice to know the people behind the desk a little more when frequently attending a space. read more

Last year, J found the gym packed yet clean. I routinely saw members cleaning equipment and I enjoyed the massive TV showing ESPN. I am not a sports watcher but checking into ESPN as I lifted light arm weights was a fun diversion and gave me new conversation tid bits. I just paid 69.98 annual renewal fee. I didn't realize this was coming. I would have been happy to pay except that things suddenly went left for me! Vasa has not had cleaning wipes in over a week and Vasa took the TV!!!!! I am disgusted. On another note, why do they have employees? What purpose do they even serve? I never see them cleaning any of the equipment, orienting new members ( no one offered to orient me) or offering other assistance. I only see the Trainers working. And regarding misc membership charges ( I didn't receive the advertised credit for referring my nephew) everything is call corporate... I am displeased with VASA. read more

It's always clean when I've visited. Friendly staff always greets you when you come in. People are friendly from what I've seen so far. Steam room is amazing. Sauna room is amazing. Both are clean. The pool room has a smell to it. Sometimes stronger than other days. read more

Lots of equipment and options available in the gym. All of this is useless because the place is filthy and staff clearly don't stay on top of cleaning and disinfecting certain areas. Locker rooms, spa, steam room and the pool area are the worst. Unfortunately I would like to update my review after exercising at Vasa for a second time with my free trial pass. There doesn't seem to be an "off" time of day here. It was packed both times I went, both times during "normal work hours". I don't mind a crowd if I go at peak hours, but sometimes it's nice to avoid it when possible. The first time I went in, I stood at the front desk to the right for few solid minutes while five employees chatted behind the counter. One of them made eye contact with me three times. When they finished their conversation, he saw me still standing there and said "oh, did you need something?" I explained to him that it was my first time there and he pointed to where everything was in the gym. I told him I was meeting a friend and he said "she can show you were everything is". I was willing to brush that off as just a bad encounter, but the second time I went in, zero acknowledgement again with several employees just standing around on their phones. I've never been to a new gym where I haven't been given a tour on my first time in the facility or had the membership process explained to me. Despite all of this, my friend does have a membership and I wanted to sign up to continue exercising with her. I got an email offer for $0 down on the second and third tier membership options, which sounded promising. But upon further look, I noticed all membership levels have a $49.99 "rate guarantee" fee two months into your membership. The fee defeats the purpose of the great no money down offer, and is especially bad at the lowest tier. This gym just seems overpriced for what it is. If there was a quiet time to go within my schedule (which isn't normal peak hours) and friendly staff, I may have considered the expense. But it doesn't seem worth it. read more

BEWARE THE SMALL PRINT. They will not make a full effort to inform you of details like those below (no printed contract to read, only online while you're doing it), and everything is heavily loaded in their favor. This is just like the worst of the bad stories you have always heard about gyms, so buyer beware. First: I changed insurance this summer, and they said I had to get a completely new membership. Because I had tried to simply change my membership from the old to a new provider, I got postponed and then charged a higher price than at the time I requested the change. No common sense in play, no flexibility taking my past activity into account. Okaaay... Next: the trainer I liked moved to a different town. I didn't like the alternatives, so went to cancel my membership. Lo and behold, there's a $25 fee just to cancel and STOP using their facilities if you're cancelling within six months. I have been going for YEARS, but because of the forced change to a new membership, VASA got to put fingers in my pocket again. And while they insist you cancel at least two days before the next billing, they do not ACTUALLY cancel for A FULL 30 days ... which means you get charged for a full month you cannot use ON TOP of the cancellation fee. What kind of wonderful business does this? If you cancel other business subscriptions, you stop having access to the service, and that's the end of it. You don't get hit for an additional month of fees. It isn't like I am causing any more wear and tear on their equipment -- it feels punitive and crass. Did I mention the pricey fee charged at 2 months into your membership (no opt-out option) about "We won't raise your membership fee for a year?" That got paid, of course, and certainly won't be refunded or pro-rated despite the fact I won't HAVE a full year's (new) membership that I had to sign up for. Everywhere you turn, you'll be told to pay and pay and pay. The facility was fine, the trainer was exceptional -- and that trainer was THE primary reason I kept going and kept being willing to pay. But VASA will never EVER EVER see another dime of my money, and in my opinion you should sign up only if you're willing to accept unpleasant surprises down the line. Even if that trainer comes back to town, I wouldn't go back. I feel sure he moved away to a much better place. read more

From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and valued as a member. Jonathan helped me in the beginning, I have been making progress thanks to his knowledge and expertise. The environment is clean, spacious, and energizing, with state-of-the-art equipment and amenities that make every workout enjoyable. Signed up for the one month free trial. Tried to cancel and had to pay over $120 which included a service fee that is billed yearly but obviously I won't be able to use as I cancelled my membership so feels unfair that I have to pay. It's a scam and they get you with the fine print. I wasn't given a copy of my membership agreement which is ridiculous. You have to give 30 days notice before you cancel, and yet you can't cancel within 6 months or you'll get charged $25??? Absolutely not a free trial, it's a scam. I tried to freeze my account, it freaked out and charged me for the Freeze fee ($10 each time) twice. Gym is overcrowded at all times. As a college student looking to simply try a gym, I have nothing but regret. $150 for a stupid membership I used 8 times within one month was insanely bad. read more

The WORST..I mean WORST gym. DO NOT sign up for anything especially the personal training. They will lock you into a contract you will never get out of. They will check the "auto renew" box without you knowing. I've been paying $120.00 every other week for months for personal training I am not receiving, not including the monthly fee so add an extra $60.00. I've cried to the vasa employees on the phone. They will tell you to call corporate - corporate doesn't answer their phone and you can email them and they won't help you. I like that the pool is almost always empty and the locker rooms and bathrooms are always clean. That said, the pool area smells terrible, like something died in there or the mold is real bad. I tried different times & days and it just smells awful. Also find their marketing really deceptive, the terms & conditions are hard to find and there are all sorts of hidden fees. Annual fee, keep my membership the same price fee, the normal go to the gym fee. I don't even care about the price, I used to pay $150 a month for a studio, it's just the deception and smell that gets me. read more

Friendly staff who are okay warning you about the crime in the neighborhood but do nothing to prevent it. Non members lurk in parking lot waiting to find opportunities to steal. Vasa is a decent gym with relatively low rates. There are a few downsides. The gym is always packed. I don't even go between the hours of 12-6 anymore due to having to wait up to 20 minutes for a single machine. The basketball court is not very good. The court has a low ceiling making it so you can't play at your full potential. The machines and equipment is up to par with your average gym. The staff seems to be nice, but they really need to find a way to not make this place seem not as packed. read more

I work out at the Tucson location. Today, the employee who checked people in was not wearing his mask. He had it on, but it was hanging on his chin. I asked him to put it on two times. He put it on for a few seconds, then dropped it to his chin again. He was checking people in and was less than two feet away from people numerous times with no mask protecting his nose and mouth Please remind your employees that wearing a mask is not only the correct thing to do, but is pursuant to VASA rules, and the law. read more

The club is ALWAYS DEADLY OVERCROWDED. And they proceed to sell memberships. The club is tiny and has only 1 piece of machine of a certain type. The club is occupied by bodybuilders. The public is far from usual fitness public you can find in LA or other big club. The bodybuilders usually do sets, and they sit on the equipment during pauses. As a result, it is not possible to do any training that is a time sensitive. The location is not the best too. Recently I have received a letter that informed people about multiple thefts in the club and at the parking lot. $25 cancellation fee. read more

For the 3rd time since becoming a member (8 months) here the restrooms have have no toilet paper in the men's restroom.  For the 2nd time I've had to call the front desk to ask for some and for the 2nd time been told by the staff "they are completely out and are just waiting on their order to come in" meanwhile myself and other ppl are left literally sitting on the can. Luckily my wife also a member was with me and carries some. For the others I don't think they were as lucky so I shared. This is completely unacceptable. There's no signs or anything stating they're out nor was the bathroom stalls closed off. On day one I went at 8pm=packed On day two, I went at 2pm=packed On day three I asked if there was any time that wasn't covered with people, and the response was, "you should see it around 5." Lol if you're 18-25 I could see this being acceptable, however, as someone in their mid thirties, I'm not amused by 5 people on Snapchat tag teaming one machine for 40 minutes. read more

The actual gym itself is very nice. Good condition equipment, wide variety of different things you don't see in most commercial gyms, and the amenities are nice. I think the terrible ratings are due to how crowded it gets, which I will admit it gets pretty crowded. If you can't handle that then this gym probably isn't for you. read more

I started going to this gym from July of 2021 and had to cancel on October of the same year. The prices here are ridiculous. You can get the mid tier plan with SO MUCH amenities they say... Such amenities include massage room, pool, etc....; however, they do not reinforce other plan users from accessing these locations. The hours are short compared to other gyms and VASA likes to charge you for things here and there. Im pretty sure its all listed in the membership but the lack of transparency annoyed me. read more

Great gym..Like all the amenities, staff are pleasant and helpful. Seems someone is always cleaning or empting trash or restocking. Clean showers, pool, etc. They even have a person on staff and present during most business hours that repairs the machines when they break. People of all ages and abilities including disabilities work out here and don't seem to have any issues with timely use of the equipment. Seems in some of the reviews that people were complaining about security in the parking lot. The parking lot is not VASA's responsibility, but the responsibility of the owner or manager of the shopping center complex. I haven't had a problem or heard any of the other patrons complain about this. There are thefts in any business like VASA and I see more lockers that people use without locks than do. If you don't use a lock your risking a theft. However; even with locks there can be thefts. The only real complaint I have is that on Sunday there's a guy instructing arobics that blasts music with the doors open. I avoid this by coming in after his class to work out. Way too overcrowded, I would suggest having even an hour a day allocated to the members who pay more; like the $24 a month and up members. Nice equipment and no other unfriendly people, but the lines for machines (and squat racks especially) are horrendous and then you have people who camp the machine for 45 minutes, maybe input a time limit? It shouldn't take that long for someone to use any machine. read more

Jacuzzi broken so many times I lost count. They don't even send an email about it. Nobody in management seems to care. People at the front are not required to clean. So they wait for a third party to come and clean which really doesn't! So it's a fraud if they charge you for a service that's not available when it's supposed to be. Most of my good instructors have left already so me too. I hope health department doesn't shut it down because it was a nice gym at first. People at the front just on their phones and talking so managers need to train. read more

Five stars for the gym... but not star worthy for their i inability to customer service beyond sign up. I spent four weeks trying to cancel my membership but was unable to reach a human via the 5 different phone numbers and also email. So yeah, sign up is easy and fun and the gym is great. But having to document failed attempts at contacting customer service in order to show my bank the lengths I'm willing to go to try and contact these people so my bank could stop all future payments... waste of my time. Go with chuz fitness, at least there they'll look you in the eye and not treat you like a plague when you're ready to cancel. read more

Before COVID, I really liked Vasa. Now, it's a disaster. I'm an infection preventionist by certification and experience, and I'm really unimpressed with how Vasa has handled themselves during the pandemic.
