We had solar installed by a company that has gone out of business. Our inverter failed so I made calls to several solar companies from Solar Edge's recommended list to install the new one covered under warranty. Vasco was by far the most honest of all of them and at a fraction of the cost to install new inverter. (one company quoted 10x what Vasco got the job done for). We had to get our old patio demo'd so we hired Vasco Solar to remove our pool solar. When our new alumawood patio was installed, we hired Vasco Solar to re-install the pool solar. We decided to go with them since they originally installed our pool solar and assumed they know best how to re-install it. They were flexible with scheduling as we gone through the process of city approvals for our new patio. We're pretty happy with the re-install. No nails going through. We did reiterate with the technicians that this is a brand new patio and they seem to have been careful with the installation process. I've had my residential solar for 5 years. The previous installer, Kuubix, went under back in September without any notification from them or the company that took over their assets. When the inverter quit working back in November I had no idea what was going on. I have a Vasco solar heat system with heat mats (not solar electric) on the roof of my garage. I have had it for 6 years. It has dramatically decreased the cost of keeping my pool warm enough for my 4 yr old grandson (92 degrees) without using the gas heater. It has increased the use of my pool and extended our season. After 6 years one of the water tubes started to leak. I called Vasco and with 24 hours they sent a technician to repair it. Justin came and fixed the leak and there was no charge. Look no further for a solar company! I did about a month's worth of research prior to going with Vasco. I looked at the usual big named companies and talked to their "sales" people which was annoying. They are there to sell and not very helpful on answering questions as it's a numbers game for them. What I didn't like was a majority of the big companies outsource the installation to various installation companies. The reviews of these companies didn't make me feel good. Additionally I wanted a company that could support me with any issues in the future. The companies I researched said how great it was during the "sales" process but after that it wasn't great. The quality of service and customer service was very important to me. Next was pricing. The big companies were all around the same price. What I didn't like was some said I needed a new electrical panel and others didn't. This was a $3,000 to $4,000 difference. Additionally I was reading about the amount of commission a typical sales person makes per client which was thousands. I didn't want to pay the up charge on items and not have amazing service. I needed a new roof prior to solar. Two of the popular roofing companies that gave me bids had recommended Vasco which was amazing. I looked Vasco up and their reviews were amazing. I gave them a call expecting a sales presentation and spoke to Lauren. Lauren explained how its straightforward pricing for everyone which I liked and I wasn't handed off to a sales rep etc. I provided the requested information and was given a quote the same day! No upgraded electrical panel needed and the quote came in $4,000 less than the big companies. I researched the solar panels being used and they use the same high quality panels as some of the others. Rick the owner then came to my house to measure and go over design and layout of the panels. He took the time to answer all my questions and it was clear I was working with a highly professional and family ran business with a great track record. Everything from there on out was effortless. Everyone I got to meet with Vasco has been amazing. Lauren has been great with all of the paperwork and overseeing the project thru final approval from Edison. Rick was great in meeting with me and ensuring the installation went smoothly. A big thank you to the team of techs that did the wiring and install Justin, Bryce, and Will....you guys were great. Attention to detail, quality of work, and being a pleasure to be around was greatly appreciated. Now this whole process can take months and months with the approval. My neighbors got their panels installed about three months ago. After installed by one of the big names....they said they needed an upgraded panel! Not cool. They are still waiting for final approval on everything. My install, city inspection, and final approval from Edison was less than two weeks! I know this can vary but Vasco knows how to get the job done!. It's refreshing to see a company that still prides themselves on quality of work and customer satisfaction. Recently had 8 solar pool heating panels installed by Vasco solar and we are SO happy with the whole experience and product. They came to give us a quote and we were able to schedule the install within a week of asking them to move forward with the project. They were professional and easy to work with. We are extremely disappointed in the solar panels from Vasco Solar. We put our panels on in September 2023. The pool did not heat up and we were told that by the next spring they would heat up. That did not happen and they did not heat up until July when the pool is warm anyway. We hoped this fall they would stay warm until end of September early October but that didn't happen either. I was recommended Vasco Solar from friend and had them give me a quote. They answered and responded immediately. They gave a great quote and were able to do the install within a month. Staff was amazing, polite and nice. Install took one day and did great install with painting pipes and concrete cutting as well as concrete pouring. 8 panels were installed on garage. Even put dogs paw prints in concrete. Solar pool heating worked and even with weather in March of 2022 the pool reached 81 degrees. Pool temperature was around 62 to 65 prior to install. I did not have a pool heater prior to install. I recommend this company and pool solar for anyone who lives in SoCal!! read more

I had a chance to work with Vasco earlier this month. So far my experience with them has been great. I requested a quote for a solar pool heating system for my house and found their quote to be MOST reasonable. Rick was great to negotiate with and they were able to install the system within a few days. It took roughly 1.5 days for the install and the crew was able to integrate the system with my existing pool automation so that I can control everything through my phone. I have been nothing but pleased with the professionalism, level of attention and the process of dealing with Rick and his crew. None the less I have still NOT tested my system. Incredibly happy that we went with Vasco solar. Our original solar system with battery back up was installed by Vasco in summer 2022. Since then, we've had no power bill, and everything has worked just as intended the entire time. Very friendly crew and they met or exceeded all of the communicated timelines for our project. The icing on the cake is that their pricing was about 10% lower than what we were quoted from other national providers. I thought it would be more expensive to shop local, but the opposite was true. This week, we had an issue with our power data tracking (not Vasco's fault, but it effected their system). we reached out and within two hours. I had a very bad experience with Vasco company, in particular with Maureen. They change my inverter, I paid them $550, Maureen told me if I have the issue with the inverter again, I will not have to pay for the installer visit to fix it. A month later my new inverter they installed stopped communicating. They tried to put it first on T Mobile which has nothing to do with that. Then they tried to accuse Solar Edge. Finally, since they didn't want to send an installer for free as they promised, they accused me of bulling them. Maureen was shouting at me : how did I dare to call the office so often? I told her: I was trying to get help but nobody answered the phone. She didn't even listen to me and then blocked my number. Disgusting experience. Just disgusting. I didn't bull anyone. I had a problem, I called a few times since Maureen was not available, it was Friday, I was trying to catch her because they closed at 3 p.m. I started calling at 9 a.m., but by 2 p.m. she was still not available. Terrible experience. It is disgusting to treat people like that. You can not even trust them since they promise one thing and do exactly the opposite. We had Vasco install solar heating for our pool 6 years ago. We questioned if the expense was worth it at the time, but I can tell you it has been 100% worth it for us. Last week, the temperature was high 70s and sunny in Yorba Linda and our pool was 80 degrees. I love that my kids are swimming in April and I don't have to turn the pool heater on! Vasco has been one of the best contractors I have dealt with for my home. Any time I have had a question or concern, it has been easy to get the help I needed, and I have never waited for than a few days for a service call. We even had to take down and reinstall our solar tubes for a patio cover project, and Vasco was more than happy to assist with our project in a timely manner. We had our Solar Edge equipment updated to the new 5G system by another company. It wasn't working when we tried going on the Solar Edge app to check the system. The company that did the update didn't do monitoring. Long story short, I contacted Bryce at Vasco Solar, and he was able to get the system changed over so he was able to check on it. It still wasn't working right. So Bryce came out that a.m. and with a couple of adjustments we were back up and working. All of our future needs we will be staying with Vasco, Bryce was very professional and explained everything that he did and what to look for on the app. I don't think a person can go wrong with using Vasco Solar. I had my gas hot water heater replaced by a warehouse service, but I was still getting only lukewarm water from the new tank installation. Because this tank was tied into my solar panels from way back when, I thought the problem was now with the solar water tank. I called for help. The very next day Rick was out and went over every part of the system. It turned out the first guys that brought in the regular gas water heater had completely by passed the solar water heater system when they installed their tank! Rick went on to exam the whole system up on the roof as well, and was here for a length of time. I expected a heavy bill, but was pleasantly surprised by his modest pricing. 6/24/22 (update): Word of caution: Pase think twice before hiring Vasco for your pool solar heater or PV solar panel system or battery back up. Avoid the pain we're currently going through contacting Vasco (read below). Update: I got an email from Rick, owner of Vasco Solar, stating he is OK with another company removing and re-installing my Vasco Solar Pool Heater as long as it is re-installed correctly. And then, he (Vasco) will continue to honor the Vasco 5 year labor warranty. I emailed Rick (Vasco) back asking to do an inspection after the other company do the removal and re-installation to make sure it was done to Vasco's satisfaction. We want to avoid in the future to be told by Vasco they won't honor the 5-year labor warranty because the other company did not do the removal/re-instalation correctly. I also asked Vasco to do the removal and reinstallation of the Vasco Solar Pool Heater themselves as they originally promised in order to make things easier. I'm waiting for a response. I will post an update with Vasco's response or lack of response, which has been their MO (I have been reaching out to Vasco about this matter since April 1st, 2022 without a promise resolution). We have solar panels. I can't remember the sketchy company that installed them because they changed their name. when I had an issue down the line they were out of business which is no surprise since they did such shoddy work. I found Vasco Solar through a website, saw they had been in business for decades and are a local business. Brian was a technician and he came out and fixed the problem sans the drama. Today Bryce and Brian were back to install an antenna so I can monitor my electricity production and more importantly Vasco can monitor it and see on their end if there is a problem with one of the panels. We had our solar panels installed in 2017 during our remodel and have been very happy with the installation and their on-going service. We have only had a few issues since the panels were installed but they have been handled quickly and efficiently. Most recently, Bryce, who helped install our panels in 2017, replaced a faulty component in one of the panels. He was here for around 30 minutes replacing the component, and the service was covered under warranty. He also inspected the panels and let me know that they were clean and in good shape. We were looking for a company to do solar pool heating and solar electric. Vasco seemed like a good fit (at least based on their website). But it was as if we, as a potential customer, we're begging for their business. We sent them all the info they had asked for, called them multiple times, sent emails, no one returns the calls or gives timely response. I had literally chase the hell out of them to get a quote. It's been days I asked them a question on the quote- no one has responded! I even asked them to let me know honestly if they don't want the business (for whatever reason) so that we can stop wasting each other's time and move on to someone else to get a project going. Residential maintenance/upgrades can really be frustrating, all promises and no prompt, workmanlike, quality results, etc. Vasco is not that kind of contractor. The crew showed up on time, as promised, and quickly went to work.
