DELICIOUS. In a town full of burgers and malts, this place is a gem! I am not a fan of chain restaurants and don't like eating food I can easily make at home, so mediterranean is always a treat. Having been in Branson many, many times over the years, there's only so much "new" to try. But Yelp helped us discover this lovely place and we highly recommend it! My mom and I split a hummus and pita appetizer before devouring two gyro salads. The hummus was so creamy and good, the lamb was tender, the veggies were fresh and crisp. We were so satisfied that we ordered the same meal to take with us to eat on our trip home that night! When you've been on the road for a week+, you are finally tired of all the burgers, chicken fries, etc. We start looking for a place for something a little lighter and this Deli far exceeded our expectations. In our three day stay in Branson, we ate here three times. It is a nice locally-owned place that I wish were in my home town. We love Mediterranean food and Vasken's has a good selection. The gyros were delicious, hummus was excellent, pita bread was fresh. We also enjoyed their soups, salads, and sandwiches. All were prepared on site and were fresh and delicious. The baklava was delectable and we even bought some as carry-out. Service was always with a smile and the employees were very efficient. You can bet our next trip to Branson will include a visit (or several) to Vasken's! read more

I've been back to this Vasken's many times and my last two visits (2018) have me scratching my head. I assume the restaurant has changed ownership and/or management. It has a very different vibe, though still a solid place to grab a meal. They have cut down on some of their offerings such as the international foods retail area (now totally gone). Fewer baked goods and when I asked about the Armenian coffee, for example, a staff member just shook her head at me like I ought to know they don't have that any longer and was crazy to ask. Disappointing! My gyro salad was still terrific as always but there was no feta on it, and in the past it included a few delicious crumbles. Meanwhile, my husband's falafel sandwich had ordinary pickles (!?) in it instead of sliced cucumber and he didn't care for that unexpected change, either. I still like this restaurant a lot and especially due to the lack of good dining options in Branson, I can't go lower than a 4 star rating...but it's going to take some adjustment to the changes. If you haven't been in for awhile, be prepared. On the positive side, they do have a sleeker look in the dining area and much cleaner restrooms. read more

Vasken's has earned every one of their stars! Their atmosphere is a happy surprise in the middle of a Branson...cool, inviting. We sat at a wonderful family-size table and enjoyed the fresh flavors of a diverse menu that made everyone happy -- meat-eaters, vegetarians, vegans. We enjoyed the pastrami sandwich, the turkey wrap, the Greek salad, and the veggie/humus wrap. And, whoa! The pistachio baklava was delightful! And, that chocolate chip cheese cake was YUM! Absolutely AMAZING!!!! Branson had been a tough place to find great restaurants. I was told this is due to the tourist season being too short lived for restaurants to survive. Ordered two Vasken's Gyro and they are all right. Biggest disappointment is the Bavarian German pizza. It comes with hot dog slices and full of mustard. It really requires some special tastes to enjoy it. Maybe better off to order the kid's cheese pizza? 11:00-12pm during the week seems a good time to avoid the lunch traffic. read more

Our last meal here in Branson and this was probably my favorite place. The food was really yummy and reasonable. My dad loved his hot chicken sandwich. I had the three choice plate with hummus, baba ghanoush, and stuffed grape leaves along with a salad. Portions were decent but taste was great! There was tons of seating, though it wasn't crowded at all. Tons of parking out front. And they had a military discount. I'll be back next time I'm in Branson!! read more

I found salt water pickles here that tasted exactly like the ones my grandma used to make... awesome. Specialty grocery as well as a deli with meal service. I wish we'd have had time to experience more here, but we only shopped through their specialty grocery items. Thoroughly satisfied, though, we found lots of really cool and interesting items that we purchased. Only regret is that we had just eaten when we visited, but that's probably a good thing because if we had gone hungry, we probably would have spent much more. read more

Gyros are made with good, juicy, cut-from-the-rotisserie lamb and beef (not pre-made strips like so many gyro places use). Shawarmas use an obviously smoked brisket for a nice pink color (from smoke, not undercooking--think pastrami-colored) and a sweet, smoky taste with an addictive tahini sauce. The homemade potato salad is the creamy red-skin kind (the good stuff), but I always go for the pasta salad--some of the best pasta salad I've ever had anywhere. Wonderful location easy to find and off the strip. Lots of parking and seating. Everything on the menu I tried in 2 separate visits was excellent. Literally two people spit their food out and then started gagging on their rueben which tasted like dish water???
