It was just okay. We stopped at Clockers Cafe for breakfast on a Tuesday morning around 9 am. It wasn't too busy and we got a booth right away. Our server, Shawna was super nice and attentive. We ordered: - Coffees and waters - Giant Cinnamon Roll - Eggs Benedict with Hollandaise on the side and Home Fries - Omelet with Ham, Onion and Cheddar with English Muffin and side of Hash Browns The cinnamon roll came out first as we wanted. While it was tasty, it definitely was not huge. For cinnamon rolls, this was average to small in size. At $5.99 though, it was priced fairly. My omelet was nice. The English Muffin was saturated with butter or Whirl. My hashbrowns were a big disappointment. The top of them were extra crispy and crumbled when eaten (overcooked). The hashbrowns underneath looked okay but were floating in a bath of cooking oil (Whirl perhaps). My wife's Eggs Benedict was decent as was the sauce. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Her home fries were large chunks of fried potatoes. They didn't seemed seasoned at all and they were cut too large. We have half of our meals leftover and will be eating them at home tomorrow morning. I packed my hashbrowns on top of a napkin to absorb the grease/Whirl so those should fry up nice. For my wife's home fries, I'll season them when I reheat them. So I'm calling Clockers Cafe average for the food and excellent for the service. read more

Would love to say this was a tremendous place to eat, however we saw our waitress when we made our order and never again when it was time to ask for it to go box another waitress about bit my head off and said she wasn't my waitress to find my own waitress, killed the entire vibe of the meal. I was willing to overlook that they never came back to ask if we needed anything, but, when I go out to eat service is everything. We are biscuits and gravy and they were plentiful and tasty. Had a wonderful breakfast here Came at 9:30am on a Friday. Had been raining outside, so that kept the crowds down. We had a sweet server that immediately came to take our order for drinks. And within 10-12 minutes our food came too. I got the sampler with French toast and Hubby got Country breakfast Both were delicious! The decor inside is all clocks, EVERYWHERE! So cool and fun to see the variety The place will hold maybe 75 folks so be prepared to wait some for a table. Everything is cooked to order but it came out pretty quick. Stopped in on our way out of town and to our surprise there was no wait! That is unheard of especially for a holiday. We were seated promptly and our waitress came by quickly to take our drink order. The menu was basic breakfast fare but our food was great! Crispy hash browns and the eggs Benedict had a delicious hollandaise sauce. Our family of 6 (4 adults, 2 children) ate a late breakfast. We were seated immediately. Our waitress made her way over to get our drink order. After asking a question about orange juice, it was evident that our server wasn't in the jolliest of moods. No big deal, waitressing can be exhausting. She doesn't come back for a while. When she does, we are finally able to order food. Many of our questions were answered in a passive-aggressive tone. And then we never heard from her again until our food came later ... an HOUR goes by and we had no food, no updates on food, nothing. We finally had to ask another server to check on our food. It was about 15 more minutes and our food finally came out. Food wasn't bad - typical diner food... rough experience. read more

Clockers Café is an absolute gem! It has that perfect small-town café charm that makes you feel right at home. I had the Old Timers Burger with homemade chips, and both were absolutely delicious. The fried pickles were everything you'd want--crispy and fresh. The service was warm and welcoming, making the whole experience feel even more cozy. First of all, the food was absolutely delicious. But my apologies go out to Johnny and Johnny, who have been long time friends of my family. Especially friends and family from Bass Pro. My friend and I stopped in for a peaceful lunch yesterday. I've traveled the world and been to many many restaurants and this restaurant was charming and lovely, and as I said, the food was delicious. Our hearts go out to Kaitlyn, who is our server and as a spiritual person and out of respect for our father God, I will try to keep things on a kind level. But the way we were treated by Kaitlyn was absolutely unacceptable and probably embarrassing for her as she put on such a performance of rage and anger towards us when we asked how much longer it would be before we got our food. I don't think a person of this demeanor should be the face of this restaurant until she comes to terms within her inner self and can show kindness to everyone, including her kind customers or even her unkind customers. As a business owner myself, I would never allow my employees to treat anyone the way that we were treated. The entire restaurant sadly witnessed her performance. Having an allergy like Alpha Gal severely impacts restaurant going. However, Clockers Restaurant in downtown Branson, MO is raising the bar and ensuring all allergy protocols are met and exceeded. The chef came out when I ordered to make sure everything I wanted could be made compliant-it was-and again after I got my breakfast to make sure everything was delicious-it was. This little gem is right downtown, making walking to all the shops after eating incredibly easy. Needed breakfast this morning and chose Clocker's. Very glad I did! Super short walk from the hotel (even if it did seem like a 90 degree angle UP!) Super cute place, on the smaller side, but the service was amazing! Ladies who look like they've worked there for 30 years and take pride in the place and what they do and genuinely care about the place. We got a build your own omelet with a biscuit that I would swear is home made and a cinnamon roll, which I would swear the same to. The omelet was light and fluffy and just the right size. Perfect amount of filling! We also got a side of hollandaise for over the omelet and I think that was my only down side.. for $4.99 it was lumpy and kinda weird.. but I ate it anyway! The coffee was also perfect. Strong enough that you couldn't see the bottom of the mug, but not so strong you had to choke it down. Tucked away in the Branson Landing shopping strip, this little hole in the wall diner was a last minute lunch decision we (almost literally) stumbled upon after a long day of binge shopping in the Missouri sun. Walked in to a cool, relaxing atmosphere and greeted by a welcoming waitress with menus in hand, we were seated immediately and had our drinks on the table without seconds. Browsed the impressively varied menu for a few minutes before landing on the Reuben sandwich for myself and chicken strips kid platters for my two under-ten children, as my wife opted for the Prime Rib Dip sandwich. Waited a little longer than expected to take the first bite, but not long enough to make us irritated or frustrated; admittedly we were hangry and the wait time just felt like longer than it was. Anyway, back to the food. The Reuben was everything that makes the classic sandwich a classic. Perfect amount of juicy, delicious corned beef smothered in melted Swiss cheese, tart sauerkraut, and creamy thousand island dressing all sandwiched between two crispy toasted pieces of dark marbled rye. Paired with crispy on the outside, soft in the middle sweet potato fries, this lunch plate really hit the spot and made me forget about the arduous hours spent on my feet just moment before. The wife and kids seemed to be happy with their choices too, but I didn't really think to ask them how happy as I noticed their empty plates spoke for themselves. My nine year old boy did comment on how his chicken tenders were too dry (before finishing them off) so I took a bite; he was right. Needed half a glass of water to choke down two bites, BUT, the flavor was top notch. That and the table space was what warranted the 4 out of 5 stars. Granted, our server was amazing and kept the table cleared and the glasses full, but such a small table with enough plates for four people kind of kept me on edge making sure the kids didn't knock anything over. Overall, excellent diner with something to please everyone and even though we don't often stop at the same place twice I'm likely to reconsider for Clockers for the Reuben alone! Edited to add: the prices were affordable and more than fair for the amount and quality of food we received, the entire staff went above and beyond expectation from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out, and the whole place had a cozy, welcoming feel that reminded me of eating at a small town diner and not in the middle of a bustling tourist town. And to be fair, anyone can accidentally cook strips a minute too long. read more

A popular local and tourist breakfast or brunch destination. Indoor ambiance reminds me of a cozy wooden home with Americana memorabilia. In spite of their short staffing, my Husby and I were greeted and seated shortly. Service to get drinks and orders was hectic and we patiently waited for a good 15 minutes. However, our food came in quickly soon as our orders were taken. We got scrumptious fried green tomato appetizer with sweet chili sauce and ranch on the side. Husby was delighted by the sweet ripened blueberries with whipped cream on his hefty stack of pancakes with eggs and bacon on the side. I received a delicious and tender prime rib sandwich with warm au jus and sweet potato fries on the side. Refills of coffee and ice water came frequently along with request for additional cream. The clockers cafe employees served like clockwork even though they had need for a cook and a server. Best of all, they served us with a smile. Highly recommend this breakfast and brunch spot.
