Came here for dinner hadn't realized its all you can eat. The price is a tad higher than I wanted to pay but I was able to eat a lot of the food and the waitress let me take my fish with me since I didn't reorder any. I couldn't even eat the first serving!! The hush puppies came in two shapes and one seemed spicy compared to the other ?? I did eat 2 bowls of beans - seasoned well and cooked perfectly. You can pay a few dollars more and take everything you dont eat with you but its actually cheaper just to get the all you can eat. Beautiful lake view too

Ordered cheese burgers. They were homemade with hand cut fries. This place has a"set up" that comes with meals, that consists of Pinto beans, coleslaw, green tomatoes, hush puppies, onions, butter, ketchup and tarter sauce. They do have all you can eat catfish at $25. Our burgers and fries were about $10 each and were very tasty.

Took a while to get back here, but decided to stop for lunch on the way back home from Texarkana. Arrived just after opening at noon on a Sunday, quickly seated. They are doing a great job spacing the tables apart for the Covid-19 pandemic. Some employees had masks, others no. Menus were paper. She ordered the Pick 2 meal and had Fried Catfish and Fried Shrimp. I also did the Pick 2 and went with Fried Catfish and Fried Scallops. She had a Coke and I had a Sweet Tea. The girlfriend was a bit confused by their bringing out items we didn't order, and I explained that's how they do things here. Interesting setup of the cornbread into "mozzarella stick style" along with the hush puppies, coleslaw, onions, pickled tomatoes and beans. She really enjoyed her lunch and while we were in the back part of the restaurant, we could still see the lake. I also enjoyed my meal. Lots of food on that plate! The fries were a soggy disappointment, as was the side of mustard I asked for, which was delivered in a "dirty" bean dish. Service was great and of course they got more busy while we were there. We'll be back for sure and no doubt they will get that 5th star back! Parking was easy. They have additional out back as well.

They give you as a starter hush puppies, coleslaw, pinto beans, pickled tomatoes, and onions. These are the hush puppies.

They give you as a starter hush puppies, coleslaw, pinto beans, pickled tomatoes, and onions for free. My mom and dad got the all you can eat catfish and shrimp. I don't like shrimp at all, but I tried it, and it was actually really good. I got the side salad, and it was bigger than I expected, and very good. Would definitely recommend.

Great food, great service and nice atmosphere while watching the sun go down on the lake! Will definitely detour by here again!

    Shrimp and catfish filets. Yum.

Consistent with good food and attentive service. It needs an update in decor but gives it charm too.

Won't go back. It used to be good, but not anymore. The service was almost as poor as the food.

Today was the final straw for me with the selfish almost criminal business practices these people have. A restaurant owner can only use the Economy and prices for so long. Before Customers say NO. I've ordered Numerous times using Texoma Delivery Service. So it's not about money this is about principle and service. As well as Quality and quantity. I just spent $60 for two meals. One Three piece catfish and one chicken friend chicken. It doesn't matter what you order from this business NEVER and I mean NEVER show up hungry. You will be absolutely left still hungry after being ROBBED at the register. The Quality is NOT homemade. Especially when it comes to the sides. If you order delivery? Be prepared to never get what you order and if you do? You'll be missing the condiments required to have your SNACK. Because it's NOT a meal you receive. The same with their desserts. The chicken fried chicken is a chicken breast sliced in half with then only giving you half of the pounded down breast and tiny scoop of whatever your side is. The mashed potatoes taste like GLUE. The texture is like a thick paste. The Mac N Cheese tastes like watered down Kraft man n cheese. The white Gravy I can't even use because just the taste before I even put it on anything was enough warning to toss it in the TRASH. I've watched many restaurants come and go from this building. You're the NEXT to go. The only reason I even order from you to start? My spouse kept bragging about the Catfish. I don't eat catfish. So I don't know what makes it worth spending $60-$100 each time I've ordered this crap you call food. Today for the first time I said let me give it a try. This is after dealing with your inabilities to package a very EXPENSIVE Togo order and get them right or even get the tartar sauce in the bag without having to be explicitly told to do so. You should be ashamed of yourselves for charging people these prices but I know you're the type of business owner who hides behind the excuses of ECONOMY. You'd rather rip off hard working Americans to turn your lights on. Then proved what a Consumer is being charged for. You picked a big restaurant and thought you'd pull it all off at the expense of American's. Like I said. Count your blessings I haven't eaten your food until today. I've been the one sick bed ridden and trying to make sure my spouse who's a FARMER has a hot meal when he comes in from working his 13 hour day. I'm the one who's trying to figure out how to make up for your lack of Ethics or mistakes. And I'm the one paying for this Crap you call FOOD.

The shrimp were cooked perfectly, the seasoning was on point, and everything came out fresh and hot. I'm convinced somebody in that kitchen has a direct connection to the Gulf because there's no reason seafood in East Texas should taste that good. The place was busy, the staff was hustling, and somehow everything still came out fast. By the end of the meal I was already planning what I was ordering next time before I had even paid the check. If you leave Skipper's hungry, that's honestly a personal decision.

I went here with my dad who was born and raised in the area. He explained that we should go early…read morebecause they can get really busy, really quickly. So we went at around 4:45 in the afternoon on a Friday. There was already a 20-30 minute wait for a table inside, but instant seating on the patio, which we took. I'm breaking this into two scores--the food which is the most important, and the service (not just waitress, but overall). Food 4.5 stars--not perfect, but very good. Service 3.0 After getting seated on the patio we were told the server would be out shortly. After about 15 minutes I went back in to ask for menus--coincidently the person that seated us was telling the server that they had people at our table, so I turned around and went back out. Shortly thereafter we were given menus and we ordered drinks. Dad got 50/50 tea and I got water and a whisky rocks which confused the waitress. "So like, with Coke?" No, ma'am, just the whiskey poured over rocks, whatever your house whiskey is, I'm not that picky. We already knew what we wanted and ordered the catfish filets with fries, and fried okra. The food came quickly, but still no drinks. Eventually those came out. My whiskey was in a larger glass, not a whole lot but enough not to complain. The waitress then asked if I wanted a straw for it because she wasn't sure. She might have been new to service, so I'm not upset, I was more amused. She is working at a bar/restaurant but perhaps the servers are kept seperate and she's not used to running for the bar. The food was excellent. The catfish was freshly fried, the outside a good crunchy crust and the inside darn near dissolved it was so tender and moist, not even a hint of being over or under done. Excellent flavor, it didn't need the house made dips (a tartar and a cocktail sauce, both great), but they complimented it. Tartar was heavy on mayo flavor than traditional tartar, but you could still tell what it was. Cocktail sauce seemed fairly standard, I guess I can't promise that one was house made. Two jalapeno hush puppies came with it. They were standard fair, a little bit of spice, enough to enjoy while letting non-spicy people still tolerate it. Crunch went deep, the center was cooked but a lot less of the ratio than the crunch outside. Fries were also standard, but fried well, good crunch and fluffy inside. Fish was the absolute star, it was "close your eyes and enjoy" good. Fried okra was bland. It was crunch on the outside, soft but not gooey on the inside so they treated it well to reduce the slime, but it didn't stand out from any other fried okra I've had. Wouldn't get it again, but it was cheap. Didn't get checked on very often, I think we were offered drink refills when we asked for the check. Got the bill. Fish plates, $16. Okra side: 3.50. My one ounce of whiskey, TWELVE DOLLARS. I don't know if she rang it in wrong, or if their prices are just ridiculous for that stuff. Lesson learned, don't order alcohol here. But most certainly order the fish. Service lacking, perhaps still learning, fish was absolutely wonderful.
