I've observed this more than once: when a customer with a lighter complexion comes in, the attendant will simply hand them their baked goods. But if you're coloured , the attendant makes a point to personally bring it to the front instead. It might seem subtle, but it speaks volumes about their customer service--and not in a good way. The food and products are great, but the way they treat people leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

It was also very light which was great as we had activities planned. We ordered it the day before and the cake tasted great the next day so easy to store leftovers. The butter helped a lot, but the bun without butter lacked the moisture - although maybe it was because we didn't buy it fresh in the morning? The trend with the pineapple bun does seem to be that the bread itself is a little dry but the ones with fillings, such as chasiu or butter, gives it the moisture it needs. The egg tarts were standard. Not bad but nothing special - and not something I would come back for. I also got a wife pastry that was not very good. Price wise, it's definitely a little steep. But it may be worth to not having to drive in poor weather to get to Markham or Richmond Hill. I do recommend coming in the morning while the pastries and buns are still fresh - it does seem to be better during the day versus at night.
