The butter helped a lot, but the bun without butter lacked the moisture - although maybe it was because we didn't buy it fresh in the morning? The trend with the pineapple bun does seem to be that the bread itself is a little dry but the ones with fillings, such as chasiu or butter, gives it the moisture it needs. The egg tarts were standard. Not bad but nothing special - and not something I would come back for. I also got a wife pastry that was not very good. Price wise, it's definitely a little steep. But it may be worth to not having to drive in poor weather to get to Markham or Richmond Hill. I do recommend coming in the morning while the pastries and buns are still fresh - it does seem to be better during the day versus at night.

I walked around (trying to free up some quota before I eat again) and came back, the sausage and cheese bread was fluffy and piping hot! Delicious! The bacon and egg will make an excellent breakfast, as the egg was still a little runny, just right! The owner was trained in Europe with experience in Germany and Hong Kong.
