I walked out today. I knew I was being oversold and overcharged and the dismissive attitude of the veterinarian was inexcusable. She didn't want to discuss the medication she wanted to give my dog and when I asked multiple times to remove my dog's toenail that was partially intact without sedation, she wouldn't even talk about it. She tried to guilt me. I am well aware that Sedation is dangerous and there are bad outcomes. It's rare but it happens. I wouldn't sedate my child for a similar reason so why would I have my dog sedated. It was unnecessary and I didn't need overpriced medication. I walked out, paid for my exam and went to another vet in Rosehill and got appropriate treatment and we were on our way in 30 minutes. read more

Brought our senior dog in for grooming and provided all of our shot records. Our dog is 13 years old and while we were expecting a $100 grooming bill, other tests were ran due to her weight and our bill ended up being over $600. It is not clear If permission was ever given for those tests and I believe when you come in for grooming, no other medical services should take place without clear understanding from the vet And the clients as to cost a necessity. Excellent Veterinary Hospital! Doctors and staff are very caring, thorough and informative. I moved 3 hours away about 5 years ago and continue to schedule appointments with them. We recently added a new addition to our family, a Black Lab Puppy. When I contact their office for the puppy visits, which are often in the beginning, they are 'always' helpful when scheduling so I can drive straight there and he's seen right away. I will continue to make the commute so my animals receive the best care! read more

They do not care about the animals, only how to get more appointments and money. The vet one vet was great, but the second one was a smart ass, and did not care how sick my baby was only how to charge an outrageous amount of money. Would never recommend and will past the word in my area never go there. read more

Dr filip is amazing here, the hospital manager is amazing everyone is just AHHMAZING, we had to put down our 11 year old schnauzer and they gave us so much time with her, some payment options and different ways to properly remember her. They spoke softly and when the time came to put our baby down they all cried with us, they let us have an option of being there or not. We chose to be with her and they gave us time with her body after. We loved that dog so much, and they made our experience so much easier. When we wanted time and the time came for euthanization, the hospital manager watched our two year old because we didn't have any babysitter or family to watch him. I wouldn't even give them 1 star. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE. They overcharge for EVERYTHING. The Vet always describes worst case scenario. Also, the vet was requiring $200 worth of medicine. I called my previous vet and informed them of the situation. I got the medicine for $40. read more

We love taking our babies here. Everyone is so friendly and so caring. They definitely treat our pooches like part of their own family. Their groomer is the BEST!!! Took my indoor cat, an only animal, whose vaccinations are current until the end of this month in to get a rabies vaccination before it was due again. In the exam room, the vet. tech says she was scratched by my cat after exiting the room and leaving me and the cat sitting there for about a half hour. She returns and says the VCA has contacted animal control because my cat bit her. Animal control came out to my house the next day and was very surprised that the VCA called for a scratch but they did explain that if a scratch results in blood it's considered a bite. So now my cat's on a 10 day home quarantine, I had to get a separate rabies neurological exam done on the cat by 1pm on the next day or be fined $500 by the county. An then I have to have yet another exam done for the same thing after 10 days before I can even think of getting her vaccinations up to date like I wanted to do before they were due. Thanks VCA! The cat does not have rabies, is not rabid, did not maul anyone. It was a simple scratch. VCA way overreacted and did not bother to communicate with me at all, and still haven't. Not that I have much to say to them at this point. I don't know how they treat other animals or customers but I'll never go there again and if you value your animal and your wallet you should avoid this place too. If I could give them less than a 1 star review I would. read more

Really the staff is very nice, however the clinic is run by a franchise mentality that is of course business/profit oriented. Consequently this means more tests than necessary for your pet and a bigger bill for you. (and it actually means less thinking for the vet as they can rely on test results rather than the power of deduction and mental acumen to diagnose.) Please think twice before bringing you pet to this facility. We adopted a sweet, baby kitchen from the SPCA. Long story short, Patches was sick with an bad abscess. Treated, given antibiotics and sent home on Thursday afternoon. On Saturday, I spoke with the vet tech and asked her if we should bring Patches back in. He was not better, and even more lethargic. She advised us to wait until Monday. Patches died on Sunday. We rushed him to the emergency hospital in Conroe. They tried to save him and we spent over $700. VCA's response, namely from Ashley, the office manager, was cold with no sympathies extended. As other people have indicated this seems to be the case. All they care about is the bottom dollar. Ashley only repeated herself as to no contribution toward our expenses-even though they were responsible for the poor standard of care we received. They may employ some caring vets, but at the end of the day, they really only care about profits. The vet tech should have told us to come in-maybe Patches would be alive. Heartbreaking for us and met with nothing but excuses from management and staff. read more

First visit was great. Vet was relatable, friendly and reasonable Second came 2 months later when my dog reopened an old wound on his ear. Different vet. Went to seek treatment was told there was nothing to be done BUT was provided a list totalling $1300 for various treatments, tests, meds and special food all unrelated to the issue at hand that the vet recommended. read more

I can't recommend this vet clinic. After only my 2nd visit there, I am changing to another vet. The quality of care is not substandard, as far as I can tell. The treatment they delivered on my first visit was effective although it seemed quite expensive for what it was. However, the prevalent attitude seems to be to try to maximize charges. On both visits, I was given a laundry list of charges for suggested treatments before my dog had been fully examined. Again - these were recommended treatments, not just possible courses of action. This morning, for example, I was quoted the charges for treatments for a possible ear infection before a specimen was taken and a determination made as to whether an infection was present. In addition, they charge separately for procedures that other clinics group together. For example, this morning I was asked whether I wanted them to clean my dog's ears when they did the ear exam, and was told there would be a separate charge for that. Isn't it necessary to clean the ears to conduct a proper exam? That has always been my experience in the past. I spoke to the practice manager. I expected her to understand that I was concerned because therapies were being recommended before the diagnostics were done. Instead, she just said that if I couldn't pay for the treatments, they would not do them. I don't know how or why they decided I couldn't afford their services - hardly the case - but it came out in the conversation that, apparently, they try to size up their clients' financial status as a matter of routine. They somewhat mis-estimated mine. Anyway, I am not convinced their priorities are right, and I will go elsewhere. read more

I love this vet clinic. All of our dogs go there, and while it is not cheap, the quality of service, the compassion, and the professionalism is well worth it. We also use their groomer, Pam, and LOVE her work! The grooming prices are reasonable and the dogs look awesome. We have also boarded our dogs at their facility in the past, and the cost is reasonable and I trust them with my babies. read more

I boarded my dog over a 3 day weekend. he had to wear an e- collar (he was fixed). When I picked him up his neck had a terrible rash, they had to shave his hair off under his neck. The vet had to prescribe 2 antibiotics. He cant sleep he is in so much pain. He has lost all of his spirit. Do not board your dog here! read more

Recently, the only dog we have left (Lucy) who is 10 years old had a dental. They are very thorough with their diagnosis and treatment for animals and they even follow up to check on your animal after surgeries by calling you. We like both Vets that work there and are very comfortable leaving our baby with them at any time. The first time I came here, the receptionist, vet, and other staff were very friendly. When they took us back, I explained was was going on and the vet immediately misunderstood and gave a diagnosis which I knew was incorrect and then tried to prescribe medicine for the incorrect diagnosis... the second time I came, I brought in a dog I had just gotten from a neglect situation the day before to get her nails trimmed because she was in obvious pain. When the girl brought her back to be, she began a very condescending lecture on how I should take better care of the dogs nails... I let her know, I just got her not even 24 hours prior. I then decided to give the vet one more chance, I called to make an appointment, and whoever answered the phone was very rude and acted as if I interrupted her. I have since found a new vets office (that I love), and the diagnosis given was indeed incorrect and my dogs are perfectly healthy and happy. read more

I would not recommend this vet. I have taken my animals to this vet twice and not only are the services expensive, they try to sell you items before they even see your animal. I get the feeling that these people don't care as much about the pets as they do their pocket book. My pets are like my children and I would never allow my child to be placed in the care of such greedy people. I will definitely be finding another vet. read more
