Two vets missed a heart murmur in my dog…read more After prescribing cough medicine for a very serious cough, it did nothing for my dog, they then needed me to do a chest x-ray on him. I had the x rays done after his symptoms progressed (episodes of passing out and loss of bodily control) and they were still confident it was lungs, though I had mentioned a previous potential heart murmur diagnosis from a year ago. X-ray shows enlarged heart and now they need an echocardiogram to be CERTAIN it's heart disease. While deciding to move forward with this vet and give them more money or find a second opinion, (a week and a half?) my dog went downhill quickly on a weekend. The emergency vet immediately heard a murmur and could say after an x ray, with 90% confidence that he had heart disease. He passed away 4/13/25. I am to blame for putting things off while trying to navigate money and these decisions with this vet who I was questioning after going back and forth with for a span of 2-3 months. I still don't understand how TWO vets miss a severe heart murmur. Fine enough vet for vaccines and what not, but if somethings going on with your animal, maybe find somewhere else. The last two visits were follow-ups to keep an eye on his adrenal gland infection and today he was pronounced completely fit. Each time I visited, the atmosphere was fresh and clean; friendly, patient, and helpful. I am grateful to have this vet team in my neighborhood.

I have Bravecto (flea and tick 12-week chews) on my auto-ship order for both my dogs at Chewy.com (which adds up to a yearly savings of about $50 over ordering from TCV's (the corner vet's) auto-ship. (You can look this up and confirm for yourself, and I hope you do), along with food for both dogs so that I don't have to carry 80lbs of dog food each month from my car to my house. Additionally, I don't have to remember to order my pet meds! That said, I got an email (attached) on 4/29/22, a Saturday, saying that Chewy.com had not received a reply from the vet and that I should contact them to prevent my order from being canceled. So, I called in to ask for my approval to be sent in to Chewy.com. I was told, RUDELY, mind you AND only after being placed on hold for several minutes that she "only does this once a week, so it should be done by end of day" (EOD was the day I called) and I shouldn't worry...So, I didn't, and I chocked her lack in 'pleasantness' up to having a bad day or being busy, etc.. On May 3rd, 2022 - the day I posted my review, I had already been talking to chewy.com because the order for my dog had been paid for, but cancelled (see attached) due to the vet not responding to their prescription request. So, I placed a new order because my baby needed his meds, regardless of clerical issues, by 5/7/22. When I called TCV, I immediately got placed on hold AGAIN. When I started to explain that I had called on Saturday and for some reason chewy.com had canceled my order despite TCV approving prescriptions the same day I got the cancelation email. Lauren cut me off and got defensive. At this point I asked her if we could please start over, and suggested that maybe we started off on the wrong foot. I told her that I was not upset with her, and I don't recall having a tone, but perhaps I did because of having been on the phone with chewy.com. I was taken aback by how she was addressing me as I even tried to be empathetic and take some blame in the conversational angst I was sensing. She backed off in her attack for a moment, but VERY shortly after began her combative nature yet again. In this moment is when I decided that I would never be going back to TCV, I asked her to please just send me a 'paper copy' of my dog's prescription and to use my PetDesk points to pay for it and to email it to me (see attached). That meant that I would no longer have to WAIT ONE WEEK for auto-ship orders to get prescriptions approved. (Please keep in mind that TCV's auto-ship is more expensive than Chewy.com's auto-ship base cost for the medicine by almost $5 and this was for ONE of my dogs) Also, I lose the free shipping for ordering multiple items from the Chewy.com site. I NEVER received the 'paper' prescription! It never came. Instead, I logged into the PetDesk application 3 days later to see that she had, instead of complying with my request for an email (please see attachment of email inbox search for "Corner Vet" and notice that NO EMAILS WERE SENT WITH THE PRESCRIPTION THAT I PAID $10 FOR), I received an expired prescription that had lasted 1 day in the PetDesk app.... God, please help me to be kind). PETTY MUCH, LAUREN?! Was I supposed to watch this moment-by-moment? I'm sorry, perhaps this WAS my fault? But, in the event that it was... does an app constitute as 'paper' when I SPECIFICALLY asked for an email? AITAH???? I would at this point like to apologize to you, reader, for my verboseness. (TLDR - I got f'd outta $10 for a script for my dog, and the lady at the front was rude and didn't like doing her job more than once a week). AND, I would like for you to look at reviews that I snapped from TCV Yelp users 1-5. I have expressed genuine concerns over the fact prior to adopting my girl, she had to have one of her legs amputated due to patellar luxation and have asked Dr. Stone to check it each and every time to make certain all is well. (most recent visit was in Sept. Suddenly, this past week our girl began limping severely, and I had to wait two days to get an available appt to see another Dr as Dr Stone only works Fri and Sat. This other Dr. - a male, wasn't too helpful but referred us to a local ortho surgeon after telling me my girl had stage 2 luxation - which as you will read later makes me question his level of expertise. The vet he referred us to has a very low rating (3.6) and wanted over $285 JUST FOR A CONSULT! This is after paying the fee to get the "professional consult" of the Dr we saw. I did some research and everyone said that "Blue" vet hospital is terrible and to avoid them. So I did. Now I am questioning the practices of this Clinic. Don't they care who they refer their patients to? And he diagnosed my girl with Stage 2 but the very next day I went to the best orthopedic surgeon in the state and he did the surgery that day - telling me she was a severe stage 3 and clearly had been at that level for some time as the stages don't progress that rapidly. Now, I am questioning whether I even want to continue pet care here. My gut is telling me no.

My rescue dog had an incident at the dog park, so I was able to get a very last-minute appointment to make sure he was okay and have a few puncture wounds checked out. My pup is very scared of people because of his past abuse and is usually extremely nervous around anyone he doesn't know, so vet visits can be stressful. The vet technician and Dr. Anna Vardeva-Georgieva were immediately so gentle, patient, and caring with him. Dr. Vardeva-Georgieva was incredibly gentle during his exam and took the time to explain everything she was doing, which made me feel very comfortable. What really stood out to me was seeing my normally very skittish dog warm up to her so quickly. By the end of the appointment, he was wagging his tail, doing tricks, and happily taking treats from her hand! That is extremely rare for him, and it meant so much to see him feel safe and comfortable. The Village Vet has been wonderful to us for the past two years, and I'm so grateful for how kind and understanding the entire staff has been with my rescue. I truly can't recommend them enough!

Our 7 year-old cat was exposed to a common household cleaner and began showing serious symptoms…read moredrooling, lethargy, and labored breathing. We rushed him to this clinic in a panic. Upon arrival, we were required to pay a $700 deposit before our cat was even evaluated. After payment, he was taken to the back, but instead of immediate treatment, we were instructed to call an animal poison control hotline ourselves which also required an additional fee. We were not informed that the clinic would also charge an even higher fee to consult with poison control. We spent about an hour on hold with poison control while our cat waited in distress. After completing lot of paperwork, He was treated with antibiotics and anti nausea medication, we were sent home with just antibiotics, despite the fact that he was still experiencing severe labored breathing. The breathing issues continued throughout the night. The next day, Dr. Goodyear called and said she regretted not administerina a steroid to help his night. The next day, Dr. Goodyear called and said she regretted not administering a steroid to help his breathing. We returned immediately to pick it up. Tragically it was too late, after giving the first dose at home, our cat vomited, began convulsing, and passed away. We later took him to another veterinary clinic for a necropsy and were told that the prolonged respiratory distress likely led to cardiac arrest. We are very heartbroken. We brought our cat in for urgent care and trusted that he would receive immediate, appropriate treatment. Instead, we feel critical time was lost, and key decisions were delayed. And unfortunately our beloved cats life was cut short.
