Over the last year+ I have noticed condensation on the inside of my windshield, but I had no idea why. Finally, I got the answer. I opened the vehicle to see a two-inch puddle of water on the driver's floorboard. I traced the leave to a faulty windshield install. you could actually push the glass out from the inside. I had to buy a special tool to remove the driver's seat so I could pull up the carpet. I had fans blowing on the wet jute automobile padding for 4 days. I called and notified ASAP and they asked me to bring it in. I pulled up when they opened and the store manager informed me that it was not his windshield. Let me tell you, when you pay just less than $1000 to replace a windshield you certainly remember who installed it. It was actually the same manager, because like I said when you drop that kind of money on a windshield you remember the players. We actually stopped using ASAP last year before I had this issue with my Lincoln for our work trucks (I have 40 work vehicles) because they continued to make several mistakes replacing work truck windshields. They did provide a Carfax report, which showed the vehicle was a corporate fleet car -- not the "owner's personal vehicle" as stated. That alone was concerning. The test drive was limited to a slow neighborhood loop until I insisted on evaluating the suspension, acceleration, and braking. Only then did the salesperson reluctantly allow a proper drive. Once inside, they accepted my offer quickly, but padded the "dealer service fee" (documentation fee) to an excessive $795 -- far above the typical $250-$350 quoted elsewhere. This fee is set by the dealer, not Virginia, and I should have walked out. Financing was worse. They only ran my application through Toyota Motor Credit, returning an 8.63% rate despite excellent credit. They did not shop for better rates. When I questioned the sudden increase to 8.77%, the finance manager dismissed my concern, claiming the difference "only amounts to $70 over the life of the loan." It was not what we agreed to, and only after pushing back did he revert it -- then announced he would not change anything else on the paperwork. It left me wondering what else was buried in the contract. I was also told I could either return to the dealership for my plates or pay $60-$80 to have them mailed. After being charged nearly $800 in dealer fees, this felt unreasonable. The most concerning part came afterward: the dealership never collected the rather large 2/3 cash down portion of the purchase intended to be paid from savings via check. When I called the dealership when realized, a manager admitted they should have collected it and instructed me to drive back -- a 2.5‑hour round trip. Only after mentioning inclement weather did she offer certified mail. My bank advised wiring the funds instead for security, but even that is risky if as they could just claim they did not receive it and it is essentially just like cash. The finance manager ultimately came to my home as the weather got worse so to pick up the deposit check. Even then, he refused to issue a receipt for the payment. He also refused to refund the $250 that the DMV paid the dealership after they incorrectly listed me as an uninsured motorist -- despite the fact that I had produced proof of insurance before driving the vehicle off the lot. This was extremely concerning and felt like yet another predatory practice. The entire experience left a sour aftertaste. Between the inflated fees, questionable financing practices, lack of transparency, refusal to correct errors, and logistical mistakes, I cannot recommend Warrenton Toyota.

There are few sounds which elicit the visceral response as the dull "thud" of a rock/pebble/road…read moredebris striking a windshield. So I'm minding my own business cruising down I-66 (all within the legally mandated speed limits, of course) when the reverberation caused by a small object against my windshield causes my body to temporarily snap back to attention. I'm actually kind of surprised I've been able to escape thus far without damage to my vehicle with all the increased construction occurring on area roads. When I reach my destination, I inspect the damage and immediately notice the point of impact on the passenger's side and the seemingly tiny crater (about the size of a dime) is now starting to "spider web" out with the tentacles of the crack extending to the diameter of a quarter. Thankfully, my handy Yelp app located Vitta Auto Glass, as these folks did a wonderful job of repairing the damage caused by the road debris. I called the number listed and had to wait two days to schedule a visit from one of their mobile technicians; also bonus that these guys will come to your residence and/or business to make any necessary repairs or windshield replacements. On the date of the appointment, the technician called me ahead of time to indicate his ETA and suggested the best place to park my car to do the work (in the shade is preferable and of course, away from any moisture or rain). When the tech arrived, I identified the crack on my windshield and he even did another inspection and pointed out some other smaller cracks which I had not noticed before. These other cracks were hardly noticeable, but I appreciated that the Vitta Tech offered the option to replace the windshield outright for about $200, versus the $50 I was going to pay to have my crack repaired. As this is an older model Nissan, I opted just to pay the $50 to have the crack repaired. The entire process took about 20-25 minutes. The tech used a clear high strength resin to fill the crack, used an ultra-violet light to cure and dry the sealant, and then cleaned the entire windshield with a microfiber cloth. The tech also practiced good COVID-19 safety protocols by wearing a mask and gloves while doing the work, which I appreciated. After the repairs, if you look hard enough it is easy to tell that this portion of the windshield had a crack filled, but it's not noticeable enough to affect safely operating the vehicle. So I'm satisfied with the results. I highly recommend Vitta Auto Glass and super bonus in that the tech mentioned if I decide to replace my windshield within a year of the repair, I can apply the $50 towards the purchase/labor of the new unit. Now that's what I call service!

And then they were going to get it right the next time for $1300...twice what I paid earlier. Declined... Ford Winchester referred me to Elite in Haymarket. Ronny was on the ball, knew what to get and showed up 2 days later with the right windshield....at half the cost!!
