I had an AC issue in my 2005 GMC Canyon. The AC had never been recharged and would freeze you out when running full blast. Piedmont Motors checked the Freon level, which low. Recharged it with Freon and dye in case there is a leak that needs to be diagnosed and fixed in the future. I was very satisfied with the service and cost. read more

Buyer, Beware ! I bought a vehicle and it appeared to be a good deal. They had just performed a Virginia state inspection and I was told everything was fine with the truck. Within 15 miles the check engine light came on. He took the vehicle back and called me the next day to say it was fixed. I drove the truck for one more day but noticed it was leaking gas and was emitting a strong oder of fuel. I took it back and he repaired a leak in the fuel system. Unfortunately, I drove the truck for another 3 days and the check engine light came back on again. I called to have him look at it and he told me that it was not his problem and further more I owed him $300 dollars for the previous repair. This all happened in under 150 miles. So he is a very nice guy and swears the vehicle is fine but becomes unpleasant if you have a problem. I understand it is used, but I expect and deserve to have issues addressed within the first week and 100 miles pf ownership. Especially since they just performed a Virginia state inspection. read more

Purchased a used car today; no pressure at all! My 1st experience after 30 yrs of car buying that the joint owner gave us his bottom line best and final and we left without any high pressure tactics. Did more research and returned 5 hours later to buy. Forgot my checkbook and owner allowed us to complete paperwork and drive vehicle home with the promise of returning the following day with the check! We've been in the market for a new "used" pickup truck for some time now, but now that the weather has gotten better, picked up the pace. Visited a couple of new-car dealers with used inventory on Saturday (those will have separate reviews), & looked at a private owner's truck Sunday. Coming back from viewing the private truck yesterday, pulled into Piedmont when we saw a couple of trucks that appeared to deserve a look. Piedmont isn't open on Sundays, so we could only get a perfunctory look at the exteriors, undercarriages, & asking prices, etc., but both trucks we looked at were within our basic price range. So back home to do some online research. Piedmont didn't have the truck we were most interested in on their website yet, so we arrived bright & early this morning to see it more thoroughly. The extremely pleasant & thankfully low-key sales manager (this was a true pleasure after previous dealer experiences elsewhere), advised that the vehicle had just come in Saturday & thus wasn't on the internet yet, but he did have all the particulars in hand - clean Carfax, etc., etc. Allowed us to take the truck out on a lengthy test drive without accompaniment (again, something one previous dealer wouldn't do? For a used car?), & we fell in love with it. Even though they'd only had the vehicle a day, it was impeccably clean, inside & out, everything worked as it should. It was a dream. We advised what our budget was & how closely we needed to stick to it, & we were able to purchase this lovely pristine vehicle well within our means. We've purchased many vehicles - new & used - over the decades, & Mr. Mack Chehreh made this transaction a pure easy pleasure. He smiled when I told him what a wonderful Monday morning this must be for both of us - first thing in the morning he sells a vehicle he just got in, & we found the absolutely PERFECT truck for us at the perfect price. It was amusing that he also thanked us for saving him the trouble of having to take & post pics & all the info on the internet, which he was planning to do this morning - lol! As an aside, while we were there they were doing quite a brisk business in both inspections & repairs. Garage bays were full & friendly customers, who were obviously repeats, were everywhere. Bottom line: Would we return for either another vehicle transaction or repairs? Obviously it's still too soon to tell for sure, but chances are better than not that we will. I'd buy from here before some of the local new-car dealers we visited in a heartbeat. read more

My car broke down in Old Town Warrenton today and I had it towed to Piedmont Motors. When I originally called, the gentlemen that I spoke with was very polite, friendly, and helpful. He accommodated a minor issue that I had with no problem. Once the car was towed to their shop, I was greeted in their clean waiting area by the gentlemen that I spoke with on the phone (I'll get his name and update tomorrow). Their mechanic had left for the day (around 5:00PM) and once I mentioned that I would be staying the night at a hotel down the street, he insisted that he give me a ride so that I wouldn't have to walk. He made me very comfortable and super happy! I will update tomorrow once I get the cost of repair. I got a quote from my regular mechanic (the tow was too far away though) so I'm curious how close it will be to Piedmont Motor's quote. This will be the only determining factor as to if I return for future service, as everything else here has been WONDERFUL :) read more

I always trek it to Manassas for car inspections because of the number of easy places to pull up and wait in line for a fast inspection. However it's hard to find a place in Warrenton where you can get an inspection without an appointment, or at least a long wait (like 3 hours at Merchants). I stumbled upon Piedmont Motors near Jiffy Lube and thought I'd give it a try. The employees, who appeared to be the owners and/or managers, were impeccably polite and courteous. They told me it'd be 15 minutes and they'd take good care of me. I had something with my car that they could've teased me about; they pointed it out but made no judgement or comment, which was a huge relief in my book. They were full of smiles and, again, extremely respectful and courteous. Their inspection was very thorough. I was so pleased with how kind they were that I told them that as I left. Also, while I was waiting, a salesman came in and tried to sell the manager some type of service or product. Although I found the salesman very pushy (he wouldn't take no for an answer), the manager was very patient and kind and always said nice things in response. I was really amazed, as I think nearly everyone, myself included, would've gotten fed up with the man and told him to leave. I have nothing but 5-star-plus ratings and comments for this wonderful service center and will definately be back. An A+ experience! read more

Bought a vehicle off these guys as was recommended by a friend. Honest guys i must say and really personable. Maintenance and repairs have been under average to say the least. Dont buy cars from here, they sold us one that only lasted 2-3 months then it broke down and the brakes/rotors needed replaced, the radiator was leaking, and the ac was broken all at the same time after it had "passed their inspection" now we have no car because our insurance said the car isn't worth repairing. even though this shop said they would fix it for a good price.. never coming back, and warning everyone else to stay away. read more

I used to take my car to the dealership for repairs and maintenance, but realized I was being way overcharged and my car troubles were being mis-diagnosed. I've used the mechanic services at Piedmont motors. Each time, they increase my confidence in them. The mechanic has been fair and honest with me and my wife in separate visits and the final price has always came in below what i was expecting. Remember that you aren't the only customer and plan to leave your car and avoid inspection rushes at the end of the month. read more

Was suggested to go here on a local Facebook group. At first thought was going to be great as his quote to do my rear parking brakes was 220 vs Manassas area wanting about double that. Scheduled to drop car off tonight with him knowing exactly what I wanted. We planned the work for a day my wife had off work so would only loose car for one day for a two hour job. Well even though I was specific about what I wanted done, he actually never checked on availability of parts and still scheduled service. Parts never arrived until 5pm and then he tried to push us off until the next day when we were very specific when setting up that had to have car back that night. Any other place I have ever had work done checks on available needed parts before scheduling work. read more

Don't recommend going to this place for an inspection they tell you a wait time then it never holds up just to come back and say your spot is gone and give you a full on attitude for no reason really not a good place for any auto service read more

If I could give it less than one star I would. I arrived to have my emissions inspection. I was told it would be 1hr before my turn. I said that was fine. After one hour and and forty minutes. There where still "2 people" in front of me. Keep in mind there is no line or designated spot to park and wait. I was thirsty and tired so I went to Taco Bell not even a block away to get a drink. I was gone for 5 minutes. Upon returning I went to inquire about the wait time. I was promptly and rudely told that I had lost my spot in line. There were now 5 more people in front of me and I would have to wait for another hour. Not a shred of courtesy. Overall I found the experience to be horrendous and an absolute waste of my time. There is no standard of professionalism here and clearly the employees do as they please. I would not return even if I was paid to do so. I was treated as an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. read more
