1 star and that's being generous My husband and I purchased a used 2019 Chevy Suburban from this dealership and it has been nothing but a nightmare. Within a very short time, it became obvious the transmission was failing hard shifting, slipping, warning signs that don't just appear overnight. What's most frustrating is that this feels conveniently undisclosed. There is no way a dealership "inspects" a vehicle and misses such a major issue, especially one this serious and expensive. It's hard not to believe this problem was known and intentionally hidden just to make the sale. We know that it was intentional because whoever they had make the makeshift repairs to seal the deal, left a used rag in the transmission pan. Yes, you read that correctly, they left a rag in the transmission pan that they'll surely claim they knew nothing about. A transmission repair on a vehicle like this is thousands of dollars, and buyers should not be left holding the bag because a dealership chose profit over honesty. We thankfully had a warranty through our credit union and was able to get the vehicle repaired. We have already drafted a letter to the credit union that they need to be removed from the trusted sellers list. If you're considering buying from here, get an independent inspection first or better yet, save yourself the stress and go somewhere else. Devon managed to get me scheduled for needed repairs for an oil leak and a shift cable repair prior to me leaving on an extended trip. Richard's team had the car inspected and provided me a list of repairs that could be done in two days. Good to their word, the car was ready at the scheduled time they promised. While I usually do my own maintenance and some repairs, the items I needed to be fixed exceeded my available time to get them done before a trip. Came in with the intention to buy a car that peeked my interest. The salesman that was appointed to me was lacking enthusiasm. We go to look at the car and immediately I notice slices and dices in the seat and scratches all over the body, a loosey goosey mirror and the headliners were discolored (nothing like the photos listed). To make matters worse the brakes were beat to high hell giving the car a delayed stop. When it came to negotiating this dealer was not interested in making a deal. Told me they've done plenty of work to the car (clearly not enough) Acknowledged that there were multiple faults and that the car was well over market price for its year and mileage and now shabbiness and played oblivious to the damages and rushed me out. We purchased a car with them about 2 years ago, a few months ago we noticed the sunroof was leaking, we brought it in, they charged us $650 to fix it. A month later, the sunroof was leaking again, we brought it in again, they claimed it was a different issue (even though it was leaking in the exact same location) and tried to charge us $1700 to fix it - even though they said they had resolved it in the previous fix. We said no at this point, when we went to pick up the car it was ABSOLUTELY destroyed. The sunroof originally leaked into the footwell, but when we picked it up it was stained all around the sunroof, they had pulled out the fabric on the ceiling, and now the top ceiling portion is hanging down. We called them back, and they refuse to fix it. It's absolutely disgusting and dishonest, instead of fixing our issue they made it worse, then have even refused to fix what they did. I would never bring your car here, or trust them with anything. We are going to report them to the Better Business Bureau, but this is your warning via social media. read more

I have just driven my 2003 9-3 back from IM Autohaua and am so happy with their service, I have to leave a review. I was worried that it needed major hydraulic work once the convertible roof stopped "converting", but they found the issue and resolved it for a fraction of the cost. They also restored it to its former self, fixing bits and pieces and giving it a detail that was fabulous. I was bracing myself for many $$$ as Saabs are no longer available new, but they saved me a minor fortune because they know what they're doing. Will never take it elsewhere! Last but not least, everyone was incredibly respectful and friendly throughout - sometimes people can be a bit patronizing towards women but that's not the case here. In short, their attention to detail is horrible. Their overall work is shotty to the point of being dangerous and they will lie to you. I do not recommend them. I had IM Autohaus do a substantial amount of work on my Tacoma truck a few months ago. They painted my truck, replaced the wheel well fenders, installed a new hood and winch bumper. Besides taking way to long to finish, I had to take the truck back to them twice for major fixes to things they did not do properly. Probably the biggest problem was the bumper assembly fell apart on the freeway and began rubbing on the front wheel causing the inner fender to be severely damaged. They did replace this when I took it back to them but recently, I noticed that the fender assembly and bumper were installed incorrectly again. I was tired of taking the truck back to them, so I just fixed it myself. In addition, I told them on more than one occasion not to re drill the bumper for the license plate and that I did not want them to paint the hood scoop insert, both of which then did anyway. Probably the worst offense in my opinion is that they told me they ordered new decals in black for my truck which they did charge me for. I recently discovered that they just took the old decals off and painted them. The paint is already peeling off exposing the silver underneath. This list is not at all exhaustive. They screwed up much more than the things listed here. I just don't want to make this review ten pages long. read more

I just finished a search for a Saab convertible with 5 spd transmission. There are not too many of 5 spd around these days and luckily I saw one on their website. It is a 2001 SE but only has little over 48K on it. I normally would personally look at the car myself but since I live in Florida, after I read the reviews of this company, I decided to take a leap of faith and just purchased the car and hope they are as good as what most reviews are saying. Well, car was delivered and everything was pretty much as described and Bryan (sales manager) was following up and after I told him a couple of things (missing valve stem covers,2nd key) and power mirrors are not working, Bryan had sent the additional key and valve stems that have Saab logos on them. He is also following up about the power mirror issue and a cracked on the headlamp assembly. Truth is I know I am buying the car as is and if they don't care, they will not bother responding which happens quite often with used car dealers. Thankfully, there are still companies out there like IMAutohaus still CARE about their reputation and customers. A rare find in todays business atmosphere. 5 Star all the way. Thank you. read more

I had IM Autohaus to replace the engine in my 2000 Saab Viggin Turbo with no issues. Shortly thereafter, I was involved in a front end collision, that resulted in damage to the hood, grill, headlight, ac condensor, and much much more. They replaced the necessary parts and painted her and she looks BETTER, than ever. (I had several chips on the hood from bugs and rocks) . I didn't think anyone could ever make me cheat on Auto Stop, the amazing garage near my old house in Alexandria. How could anyone abandon their awesome, friendly, honest service and prices? Who would be so stupid? I'll tell you who: the same sort of person who is stupid enough to back full-speed out of her new 1-car garage without checking her clearance, snapping off her side-view mirror and moaning like a cow in a giant panini press as she hears it shatter on the floor. My commute to Auto Stop recently grew from 5 minutes to 45. After my little mishap, 45 minutes of traffic on Leesburg Pike without a driver's side mirror was a prospect too dreadful to entertain. So after a good ten minutes' weeping about how this was why I could never have nice things and how was I going to afford this and seriously what was my problem, I glanced up my new street to the cluster of garages a mere 100 yards away. One of the nearby garages was called Swedish Motorcars. I own a Swedish motorcar. I checked Yelp and saw nothing but praise for the mechanical side of the business. I was freaked out about the dearth of reviews, but I took a deep breath and drove over there anyway. Sorry, Auto Stop. I'll always love you, but Swedish Motorcars is my new homie. Rich and his colleagues gave me a rapid, accurate assessment of the damage and were immediately on the phone to the local Volvo dealership to get the parts they needed. My car was fixed by the end of the day I dropped it off. A procedure that could have cost up to $600 at the dealership--I did my research--cost me $300 and change here, and they gave me the 10% new customer discount they advertised on their website without me having to ask. Eventually, I'll want to do some body work to repair the scratches and dings on my car I've accrued in other moments of stupidity, and I know where I'll be coming back. read more

Now that SAAB has gone to the big brand graveyard in the sky, we orphaned owners need all the good mechanics we can get. Swedish Motorcars goes good work, gets you in and out fairly efficiently, and is able to get their hands on those hard-to-find genuine SAAB parts. Yes...they charge prices that are a little on the high side for an independent shop but still give the impression of being a no nonsense...no bullsh*t garage. The only place, this far, where they fall down is their detail guy. The last time I was in, I arranged for a full inside-and-out detail for my 9-3, and frankly he (she?, they?) didn't do a great job. Oh sure, the major stuff was taken care of: Wheels, polish, carpets, etc... but for the same $200 I've paid elsewhere, I've had better detail jobs, jobs that included conditioning the dash and leather, getting the dirt out of the door sills, and getting the windows spotless...especially the insides. And I've never...never had a detailer leave fingerprints on the fabric of my A-pillars. Not cool. read more

I have been going to them for over 15 years (since the time it was Swedish Motor Cars), and I have only great things to say about my experience. Everyone who works there is incredibly helpful and friendly. Their work is reliable and reasonably priced.They have kept my 2001 Volvo alive and running reliably, which is no small task. Whether it is an oil change, routine inspection, or something far more complicated (radiators, belts, suspension, you name it), their work is impeccable. They are up front about costs and explain what parts they need; Richard is very good at explaining what you absolutely have to fix and what he recommends that you fix. They really do it all.
