I went to this pretty new vegan restaurant in Brattleboro last night for the first time, but it will absolutely not be my last. It's small and just being discovered, because otherwise I don't think we could have gotten in. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Our table had the walnut pate for a starter ...so good, and then we had the pasta y fagioli and the thai inspired tofu bowl with rice noodles and peanut sauce for our mains. Really delicious. I thought my tofu bowl could have used a little lime, or maybe a little more lime, but otherwise it was wonderful. I'm very happy to have such an excellent new restaurant in town. The service was garbage there were only 4 couples at the time, we waited 2 hours to get appetizers. I'm sorry, you're not making fries and cauliflower wings from scratch. Then when I called over the waitress to show her the wings were cold, they made another batch 4 min later. No one else's food came out after that. Food tasted good but nothing spectacular. You don't even wait 3 hours in NYC. This was literally, appalling. Worst service ever, just go to Noho or try the Thai food instead. Absolutely anything else but here. read more

Vegan AF is easily the best Vegan restaurant I've been to. Creative menu, seasonal specials, and amazing desserts, couldn't have been better! We stopped in one late night. Interesting menu and great food. Sat outside on the deck under the grape vines. Thoroughly enjoyable.

VISIT THIS PLACE! I could not believe how incredible the food was. And the staff is so attentive without hovering or being pushy. Hard to even choose what to have off the menu because everything sounded amazing. We had the Buffalo cauliflower bites and the polenta. Insanely flavorful and delicious. One of the best vegan restaurants I've ever eaten in. The food was delicious and interesting. The vibe was relaxed and comfortable. Our server was super friendly, and helped us pick some great foods. The search is over folks! This new restaurant is a whole vibe that you should not miss. The amazing offering leave nothing to be desired, and the variety of dishes is a delightful treat as the vegan scene is booming! You can enjoy a nice meal out on the covered patio shaded with grape vines, or at the cute bar with a chalkboard top you can draw on! The Shmorgas-board is a crowd pleasure for certain but the real star of the snack show is the Buffalo cauliflower wings! If you are looking for a good Ol' burger or some tacos you will be wondering how they are even Vegan! I will definitely be returning on a regular basis. 5 stars! read more

The food here is so good--vegan or not! The buffalo cauliflower is not to be missed as any appetizer. The pasta and taco dishes are my favorites. I've had everything on the menu at this point and honestly it's all good. They have fun specials every week too to change things up for regulars, including drink specials. I'm not a beer drinker but they have a size able selection that changes constantly and features a lot of local brews. And don't skip the chocolate mousse. It's super decadent and yummy. These ladies get it right from start to finish. Great food, great service driven by passion and vision. We ordered the mushroom pate, RATATOUILLE STACK and CILANTRO GINGER GYOZA to start. Followed that up with the EGGPLANT KATSU SALAD and the PRA RAM TOFU BOWL. The thought that went into each dish was apparent in every way. The depth and range of flavors was outstanding. We finished with two desserts from the hidden bean and an in-house chocolate mouse. All were incredible. We walked away full and inspired. Do yourself a favor, vegan or not, give it a try! I was a bit skeptical of this restaurant's name and few reviews, but upon arriving learned it only opened three weeks ago. The owners have over 50 years of restaurant experience - between the two of them - and all three of us had loved our dinners. Vegan A.F. has a fun vibe - cocktails are "pussytails" and the wait staff was attentive, personable, fun and professional. HIGHLY recommend and we'll be back when we're in Brattleboro next (December)! read more

Take it from a non-vegan: this food is *amazing* and full of flavor. I started with a mushroom and walnut pâté, which was topped with carmelized onion and served with toasted baguette: it was heavenly and not too altogether different from the animal-product version. I'm hoping I can get some to take home for my cheese board later this week. For my main course I had a Pra Ram Tofu Bowl, which was sort of like pad Thai with the best marinated tofu. It was delicious and hearty and the portion size was generous, so I'll get to eat leftovers as well. Their drink menu is also wonderful and inclusive: they have mixed drinks, wine, and a mock tail menu; I had one with butterfly pea flower that turned an amazing purple color - what fun! (and it tasted refreshing, too). we ordered dessert because we just had to see how this might end, and both the chocolate mousse and "coconut queer cake" (coconut cake with layers of all the colors of the rainbow) both delivered on taste and texture. Vegan AF is amazing. I honestly didn't know vegan food could be *this* good. Also! Bonus: they have hilarious t-shirts and a great vibe. Check out the back deck: it has the best atmosphere. read more
