We went over to Brattleboro for dinner at this lovely Vegan restaurant. You do need to get a reservation. We were seated right away in their outside patio. It had a great vibe. For the food, we tried out a many dishes to share. My favorite was the chili. For what it's worth, the dishes we had with the vegan meat had the same taste, except for the salad. We also got some mock-tails that were delicious. I really enjoyed the food and if I'm ever back in this area I'd try it again. Price: $80 (including 20% tip)

Unbelievable. Run, don't walk. Beautiful ambiance. Good is out of this world. You won't be disappointed.

My friends, the daughter, and I had dinner here when I visited and not gonna lie, I was pretty stoked based on the name alone - Vegan AF. Surely it would be everything I dreamed of and more, right?!? The adults all ordered adult beverages and I cannot quite remember what I opted for, but it was a respectful tasty drink that facilitated a nice buzz. In terms of food - I selected the Jamaican jerk tofu bowl and the mac and sheese (I usually feel compelled to order vegan mac whenever it's served somewhere). Despite the place being rather small and cozy, and thus not exactly a bunch of diners, our food took awhile to arrive. No biggie, as we weren't in a rush, but thought I should mention in case that in case anyone is and is considering dining here. So the mac and sheese was okay, kind of bland for my tastes, but nothing that couldn't easily be doctored up. The Jamaican jerk tofu bowl was top notch! I appreciated that the tofu was well seasoned and pan fried to firm slightly crispy perfection! The rice, greens, and sweet potato (or carrots, I can't remember) were nice accompaniments to the tofu. I enjoyed trying varying combinations of the items because I'm just fancy like that! Service was friendly and attentive, no complaints there! So as you can probably guess, I wouldn't hesitate to return here should I ever visit my friends again.

This would be a 5-star place if they can get their act together re service. The servers the night we were there couldn't have been friendlier, but they really couldn't handle the crowd. Service was very slow; in fact, so slow that I had asked for hot sauce and she brought it out after I had finished eating! Set that aside - the food we had was amazing and the chefs/cooks were working really hard in a relatively small space to feed an almost full house. I had the street corn tamale bowl, which was absolutely fantastic! My husband had the squash and spinach dish which he felt the same about. Excellent place to eat, I'd say even if you're not vegetarian. The veg dishes are THAT good. Watching other dishes come out, and the wafting aromas, I know there were other things I definitely want to try. Because of how slowly things were coming out, we took our dessert to go (we had concert tickets for 8:00, had gotten to the restaurant around 5:30 and needed to leave around 7:15). We would suggest coming on a night when there's time to hang, enjoy not only the food but also the music and the overall vibe of the place. And there's a cool covered patio out on the side of the building which is where we sat. Everyone was obviously into friends and food and a relaxing evening! I sure hope they'll still be there when we head up to Brattleboro again next summer!

A hidden gem in Vermont. This unassuming restaurant was a true delight. The food was absolutely delicious- so inventive and creative without being pretentious. It can rival and beat many of the NYC vegan restaurants that I've had. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming especially Nikki. Then have over 50 years of experience and it SHOWS on the plate. Everything was amazing and we would definitely go back just to eat here again!

Vegan AF is easily the best restaurant in Brattleboro. We have been several times, and each time, I try something new. I'm not even a vegan and I just want to keep going back for more. On our last visit I had the Green Mountain Goddess and my husband had the Buffalo Cauliflower and the Wedge Salad. The Green Mountain Goddess had the most delicious broth and the vegetables were spectacular. Precious trips we have had tacos, stuffed peppers, mushroom polenta, and BBQ. They also have a solid selection of beers and cocktails. The staff are very friendly.

Wow. We were passing through Brattleboro late on a Friday evening -- hungry! We appreciate vegan fare, and stopped in. We weren't sure what to order because there were multiple good items marked gluten-free so we had the server surprise us! First we had sesame rice cakes which were seriously so crazy good. They didn't need much but the dipping sauce was a great add on. The Mexican chorizo Buddha bowl and the mezze polenta came next. The Buddha bowl was very good though the mezze polenta was out of this world hearty / wholesome and I could imagine myself eating it in cold weather. To celebrate, we also had a sundae -- also gluten-free. The entire thing was so delicious yet it was the service -- the nicest server name Linds and others made us feel right at home. If this was near our actual home, we'd be regulars! Until they open up closer to NYC, we'll have to come back for a visit! Oh and the tables with chalk and the overall set-up was super cute! If people knew vegan was this good, they'd want nothing but!

Ah, the enchanting town of Brattleboro, Vermont, hides a delightful gem within its green embrace -…read more"Superfresh Organic Cafe." Nestled in this quaint corner of the world, this café is a whimsical oasis of organic, vegan, raw enchantment that's uniquely Brattleboro. As I strolled into "Superfresh Organic Cafe," I was greeted by the soothing melodies of a street busker playing their heart out. The café itself felt like an eclectic homey high-vibe retreat, with crystals, plants, and sunlight streaming through the windows, creating dappled patterns on the wooden tables. The best tables are window-side where you can watch the little river and the waterfall. The menu, presented on recycled paper with hand-drawn sketches of the surrounding hills and rivers, revealed a symphony of flavours. I began my culinary journey with a sip of the "Green Goddess," a kaleidoscope of freshly pressed green veggie fruit juice that tasted as crisp as a morning hike in the Vermont woods. For my main course, I couldn't resist the "Kale + Artichoke Dip," a whimsical concoction of Kale + Artichoke Dip covered with brazil nut parm, baked, & served with house-made raw flax crackers & veggies that seemed to capture the essence of the lush local farms. It was a dish so light and refreshing it could rival a dip in the nearby swimming holes. But the pièce de résistance was undoubtedly the "Golden Goddess." It is a frozen/cold smoothie made with Vermont goodness and love in a blended up dream of Mango, turmeric, black pepper, ginger, vanilla, dates, ice, mylk. The staff, with their warm Vermont hospitality and kind high-vibe loving hearts, added to the café's charm. They moved about like friendly spirits, ensuring that every diner felt as if they were sitting down to a meal at a friend's cosy Vermont home. Leaving "Superfresh Organic Cafe," I felt like I'd experienced Brattleboro's heart and soul on a plate. It's a place where local produce isn't just food; it's a celebration of Vermont's natural bounty. If you find yourself in this picturesque corner of the world and crave a whimsical, locally-inspired escape into the world of fresh, organic, vegan raw delights, "Superfresh Organic Cafe" is your portal to a truly Green Mountain gastronomic wonderland.

There were a few table outside and probably 20-25 seats inside. We ordered at the register. The menu was pretty typical of what you would expect in a GF and vegan restaurant . Smoothies, juices , salads, bowls and pizza. We ordered the Mediterranean bowl -large $16 , raw pad Thai -large $16 and roasted vegetables. We really didn't have to wait long. We enjoyed looking out the window at the beautiful waterfall. The portions were generous. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. Would probably eat here every day if I lived close by. Would highly recommend for everyone!

The lot was small but many people were coming in and out so we didn't have to wait long to get a parking spot or outdoor seating. There are two shops: the deli and market with different vibes and items inside. The market is a quick shop with some snacks, drinks, coffee, and knickknacks. The deli is where the hot/cooked foods are at with some other specialty foods. The food was overall ok, nothing noteworthy. The main attraction is their Mac and cheese that had been circulating my IG feed. Don't think it's life changing but the shops have curated selections of local goods that are reasonable priced to get some last minute treats. Pass on the general tso(?) and the potstickers in my opinion unless you're really craving it. The desserts looked amazing and would definitely get one next time

We were able to get a spot in front with no issue, but I imagine that this was because it was a week day. We chose the Mac and cheese and the maple pulled pork. Both were worth the hype in my opinion. The mac and cheese was super creamy and paired well with the tender pulled pork. The baked goods were nothing to write home about. Maybe we just chose the wrong items? We tried: Oatmeal cookie - good, but not amazing. Chocolate chunk/ peanut butter cookie - stale as heck and basically inedible. I always am leery of saran wrapped cookies that are out on display because its impossible to know if there are actually fresh. The giant stacks of cookies were too enticing to pass up on. The chocolate cookie we purchased was definitely not fresh at all. $3.29 down the tubes - lesson on saran wrapped cookies learned (again). Carrot cake whoopie pie and original whoopie pie - both tasty, but the cake was too thick for my personal liking. We sat in the small outdoor seating area to eat. This was a nice little reprieve from the car ride.
