I've been coming to Chantel for a little under 12 years now and that alone speaks for itself. My girl Chantel is AMAZING! I took her hyaluron pen course and learned sooo much. I have previously taken this course elsewhere and it was horrible. The trainer and her assistant weren't nice and they also tried to get me in and out as soon as possible. They literally gave me 3 pieces of paper about the course and totally gave me wrong info/training. Chantel gives her student a full booklet that she made explaining a ton of info. She's very knowledgeable about what she's doing and she super passionate about it (she wants her students to be confident when learning from her). Chantel also does a live model which was awesome for me since I didn't get that in my other course (Visual Learner). Then it was the hands on training part (best part) Chantel was there to guide me and make sure that I was doing it the right way, right angles and right pressure. I learned a lot about contraindications, prep care and aftercare which is very important! I highly recommend taking her hyaluron pen course! There's no other course that is in depth and as legit like hers. Chantel also gives ongoing support to her students. Every time I have a question or I want feedback on something, she's willing to respond to me. This review is specifically for Chantel. I went for a lip tattoo. I hadn't realized how busted and sad my lips were. But I knew they needed help. I've been seeing her work on Instagram and my only regret is not doing it sooner! Here's what to expect. Chantel is punctual. If your appointment is at 7am, she isn't a flakey person. She was there and ready to go. Very clean environment. We've all been to iffy salons. This isn't one of them. I felt completely at ease. You'll be taking a close-up photo before and after, so brush your teeth and wax your whiskers! You'll be numbed for about 30 minutes with a cream. You'll be laying on a table while the procedure is done. Take off your shoes, make sure not to wear your crusty socks lol. It's smooth sailing from here. She will apply the color 3 times. Each time, she will apply more numbing cream to keep you comfortable. I took her advice on the color, and I'm so glad I did. It can look kinda tricky when u see the bottles of colors available. So take her advice. It took about an hour. After we finished, I was walking to my car and I could literally feel my lips getting super puffy. They felt like they were flapping in the wind. They got pretty big lol. (Make sure to have a good big meal before you go cuz you're not gonna wanna be eating for a while when you're finished). I iced them when I got home. I had a gathering to attend that night, and I didn't wanna look tooooo obvious. But Idgaf cuz I was excited to have my lips done It took 8 hours to get the swelling down enough to be presentable. Not bad! If you've ever had a tattoo anywhere on your body, then u know the process. ITS GONNA PEEL. Chantel gave specific instructions not to scratch or scrub the flakes off. That was probably the hardest part cuz it feels like you dipped your lips in sugar . But if you want your results looking perf, then DONT FKN SCRUB IT. Don't waste your investment. You'll be a little self conscious for a bit, so don't be a cry baby. If you can't handle the healing process, then it's not for u. It's so worth it. Just have some chapstick handy. That first week, you'll see the color go thru some changes as it flakes. You don't need to call her everyday lol. Let it be. Your touch up session will address any of your concerns. Let me start off by saying that I got previously trained by someone else before Chantel, they got annoyed if I asked questions, only responded when it came to purchasing more filler and got half ass training. I did a lot of research before choosing a class to take and I feel like I received all that I paid for and more.
