    Yummy in my tummy

Brought my "cousin" (if you know what I mean) to this vegan place where I met the nicest couple from Cornell (May or May not be an ivy, not sure). The food was AMAZING, though subtly pricy. The avocado was shaped in a heart, clearly made with love and affection that I missed out on as a child. Beautiful and brought a tear to my eye

El Moro, vegan supersandwich on pretzel bun and a bed of chips. Yummy

Yummy fresh vegan food with plant-based meal alternatives. Try it! They also have baked goods. I had a carrot cake cupcake, I think. Might come back for a smoothie or granola bowl.

    Nice!

This was our go to spot for some great acai bowls or some tasty avo toast. There's a vegan restaurant across the street that is much more expensive for the same great food. My one criticism is that you will wait quite a while for your food which is why I docked them one star. Still, highly recommend!

While my stomach wouldn't allow me to eat full meals, I did try their chocolate chip and walnut cookie and it's fantastic!

Check the website to confirm the hours because the Yelp hours weren't correct and we ended up coming about and hour and a half before they closed. The staff still welcomed us in but we tried to be polite and finish early. We order drinks. I got the sangria since I wanted to try it while in Spain. The alcohol was jussssst right, if you know what I mean. I think, altogether we order just about everything on the menu between us and the portion sizes were great for being able to share amongst the table. I ordered the Indian curry with rice. We also shared the baked cauliflower, mushroom puffed pastry, the honey miso aubergine, and the goat cheese mixed greens. Every last dish was wonderfully seasoned and the flavors were AMAZING, in my opinion. The only thing that wasn't up my alley was the aubergine. This is no fault of the chef. I just am trying to love aubergine/eggplant but just haven't found a dish that makes me swoon. It's a texture thing I think. Anyway, I really loved the mushroom puffed pastry and I normally have an aversion to mushrooms as well...texture thing yet again. The desserts were great too. I literally sucked the caramel flan in three bites. It was deee-licous! This place definitely is on my list of places the next time I'm in Barcelona. The decor and lighting was great for the ambiance, the staff were very nice, and the food came out fast and tasted perfect especially after a long day exploring Barcelona. Cheers!

I came here because I not only heard it was vegan (was hunting down for vegetarian options as it is…read morein Barcelona), but I wanted to try a veggie version of the paella. This place marked the spot. There's plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. I preferred an indoor seat this evening because of the heat. First, the paella comes in a hearty serving. Definitely will fill you up. I arrived around 7ish for perspective and they made this to order. The paella was made wonderfully. Me personally, it seems a bit too rice heavy and not enough seasoning for my preference, but that is more an indictment on paella and not this place. They did have plenty of other options so I'm sure people are satisfied regardless.

Very filling, and such good vegetables. The fish/meat substitute was super good. Really well done. Reasonably priced for LA standards. Not sure what standard BCN pricing is but my entree was ~15 euro. Had a small amount of leftovers. Ambiance was great, too. And staff able to speak English if you have any questions. Great allergen labeling. All around stellar spot. PS my walking tour guide said Born is much cooler and less touristy than the Gothic District- if that helps you choose which location. And the church across the plaza is free after 6 pm so pop in and look for the FC Barcelona window.

I previously ate at their sister restaurant Flax & Kale and found that experience to overshadow my time at Teresa Carles. I was definitely familiar with many of the overlapping menu items and decided to go with their rotating lunch special for that day's meal. I started with their gazpacho which was flavorful and a nice treat on a hot summer day. Afterwards I received my vegan kebab which I found a bit underwhelming. The pita felt too soft and there wasn't much of the actual soy meat they used compared to the condiments. It felt more like a TVP crumble on top of soft bread. I did enjoy the vegan pudding dessert to end the meal however. Since I was leaving on a flight, I did end up ordering one of their veggie burgers and fries to go, and I found that to be much tastier than the kebab that I had at the restaurant. Despite the 'okay' lunch, I still enjoyed the experience and am glad there's an extensive vegan scene here in the city.
