My iced cafe latte was for take away and I thoroughly enjoyed the flavors. One thing to note for any Americans that expect sweetener, there is none here. I wasn't bothered by this but I could see many others might be. Looking back I wish I had bought some beans to bring back home to Cali.

Being a huge egg aficionado, I also ordered a side of eggs à la carte. My coffee arrived quickly, but after waiting 30 minutes, I noticed that guests who had arrived after me were already enjoying their meals... When I checked in with the waiter, it turned out my order hadn't gone through at all. I had to reorder, and while waiting, I asked for another café con leche since I was long overdue for a refill. Unfortunately, that second coffee never came--but on the bright side, my meal eventually did. The croffle was freaking divine. Crispy/flakey on the outside, and soft inside. The cream was sweet, but not overpowering, and the tart of the berries balanced out the meal. As I was getting ready to check out, the waiter asked if I had ever received my second café con leche. Embarrassed for them, I admitted that I hadn't... Realizing they'd made ANOTHER mistake, he apologized profusely and quickly asked the barista to make me one to go. To compensate for my time and patience, he generously comped my entire meal, leaving me to pay only for the initial coffee (2.50 euros). Despite the service hiccups, the food was incredible--truly one of my favorite breakfasts in Spain.

We came here b/c Cal Pep was too crowded and I was afraid to try any seafood after a bad seafood experience elsewhere in Barcelona. I'm glad we did - it's a beautiful plaza area, and there was no wait, but the place was pretty full. I got a veggie paella and my GF got a curry soup. The curry soup wasn't too spicy and the veggies were fresh in my paella. Overall, I was very pleased with the food for the price and enjoyed sitting and relaxing here after a day of sightseeing. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here -- the fajitas and quinoa risotto were particularly good and the service was excellent. Great for families with young children as the plaza has a central playground who you can watch your kids play from your table as you sip sangria. Recommended. read more

We also shared the baked cauliflower, mushroom puffed pastry, the honey miso aubergine, and the goat cheese mixed greens. Every last dish was wonderfully seasoned and the flavors were AMAZING, in my opinion. The only thing that wasn't up my alley was the aubergine. This is no fault of the chef. I just am trying to love aubergine/eggplant but just haven't found a dish that makes me swoon. It's a texture thing I think. Anyway, I really loved the mushroom puffed pastry and I normally have an aversion to mushrooms as well...texture thing yet again. The desserts were great too. I literally sucked the caramel flan in three bites. It was deee-licous! This place definitely is on my list of places the next time I'm in Barcelona. The decor and lighting was great for the ambiance, the staff were very nice, and the food came out fast and tasted perfect especially after a long day exploring Barcelona. Cheers!
