Chris was very friendly and served us instantly. Inside has the well loved Jamaican flair you definitely get the sense of home in there. We got there about an hour before closing so half of the menu was gone (testament to how good the food is and how loyal his clients are), I ordered the curry chickpeas and curry chunks (soy based protein, chewy but still solid to bite) with brown rice & kale and my boyfriend got the same but with the delight Mac n cheese as well. I stopped into Vege Delight while I was in Miramar, Fl for a birthday trip. I was the only vegetarian in the party and was starving! Everyone else had oxtail and I wanted something just as good. More amazing vegan finds!! Was in the Miramar around lunchtime and figured I'd pull up my bookmarks. I noticed we were only 8 mins down the road so it was a no-brainer. I was looking forward to trying the "oxtail" but it's such a small business (blink and you'll miss it) - so they don't always have everything on the menu but that was alright. I tried the Jerk Vegan Chick'n and my husband got the Vegan Curry Goat (which was my first choice). Both had great flavors; the jerk had a little bit of kick (and I added some extra cayenne). They both came with kale and rice & peas. They also had some yummy Irish Moss drinks and two desserts available. I didn't catch his name, but the guy working there was kind enough to give us sample before ordering the drinks. We ended up with one of each; the Blue Magik and Soursop Moss. We also ended up with both desserts, a Strawberry Coconut Cake and a Pineapple Upside Down Pound Cake. Both super moist and fluffy. He let us know that he uses flax instead of egg replacer so that's what gives them the speckles. Overall great lunch and we will definitely be back in a few weeks when we are in the area again. read more

Really good food. Spot here after landing at the airport to grab a quick bite and this place did not disappoint! Me and my two friends, who are not vegan, loved our food. I had the bbq chicken, mac and cheeze, and rice and peas. Very filling. The gentleman explained whether it was soy chucks or seitan.... Im picky lol. My wife found this place for lunch today because we were in Margate and were hungry. I wasn't sure what to order when we got there because I wanted something that my son would eat too. The owner let us know that he really just uses a little black pepper when it comes to spice and the Jerk Seasoning was probably the one with any kick to it. So I opted for the Vegan Curry Goat and it was very good! The meals are large and are only $10 each. Today the sides were rice & peas and a kale salad. I think there may have been other side available but we didn't ask. We came just around noon and beat the lunchtime rush because there were quite a few people that came in after us, that's how you know it's a good spot! There's definitely an island vibe here and the food is fantastic. Super friendly and even gave us samples of the drinks to try. We ended up with one of each and also one of each dessert. 2 large meals, 2 fresh juices and 2 desserts was less than $45. We will definitely be back!! read more

Disclaimer: I am not a vegetarian but after trying the lunch here, I would totally consider it! So one of my good friends was here and she kept suggesting this restaurant so I figured I'd give it a try. The gentleman was very helpful and informed me of all the food they serve, because if it wasn't obvious enough, I still eat meat. He was patient with my questions and even gave me a sample of one of the protein options which was the sweet and sour strips. So instead of it being chicken it was their own twist to Seitan which is protein made from wheat. I was blown away and my friends, who had already ordered, were mad they didn't get my sweet and sour dish, lol. We took it to go and we shared portions. My sweet and sour "chicken" came with a kale salad that was off the chain (haven't used that term in years btw, lol) and rice. I had eaten here before but didn't remember it was a while ago. The guy working there is always so welcoming and sweet. This time I came I decide to try their vegan oxtail and vegan Mac and cheese. It was served with rice and peas and a kale salad. The salad was so fresh and crisp and the rice and peas were very flavorful. I'm not vegan but I enjoy exploring plant based food. The oxtail was seasoned and stewed in brown stew which really gave it the oxtail feel. It tasted very delicious and I was pleasantly surprised. I added my own pepper sauce cause the Trini in me wanted spice. The Mac and cheese also was sooo good. Creamy and well seasoned itself, I couldn't tell that it was not actual cheese so I think it's safe to say that they did a great job. OK vegetarian delight had great food over 10 years ago and I can't believe that this little shop is still open! Actually I can believe it, the flavors are spot on. My favorites are the vegan jerk chicken and bread fruit salad (like a potato salad) I had it at an event and was told it was not a regular menu item but my goodness this is good and I think it should be. I'm not even a fan of regular potato salad but life this. I have also had the barbecue vegan ribs hands down just as good as any rib meat you can find. This is an amazin' place to get your grub on, vegan or not. The menu varies everyday and there's always something new to try. I've been eating here for a couple years now and am familiar with the people who run it. They'll treat you well if you have any questions for them. Their callaloo is amazing and my personal favorite dishes from them are the soy-free shrimp special and the curry chickpeas. Their juices are also on point.
