I have been a loyal customer of Vegan Tierra Restaurant since it first opened, which makes today's experience especially disappointing. Our waitress entered one of our orders incorrectly. I understand that mistakes happen, but when we explained the error, she would not exchange the meal or correct the mistake. Good customer service means taking responsibility and making things right. Unfortunately, the service reflected a lack of training throughout our visit. When we arrived, the waitress was cutting pineapple and did not acknowledge us. When our soup was served, only one of the two soups was brought to the table. We also had to ask for utensils and napkins, and she appeared unable to distinguish between a soup bowl and a small plate. I've always enjoyed supporting this restaurant, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I hope management provides additional training and empowers their staff to resolve simple customer service issues. I want to see this restaurant succeed, but today's visit fell well below the standard I've come to expect. read more

After a good workout session, me and my friend decided to try Vegan Tierra. When we walked in, we were greeted and given help to navigate through the menu. I ordered the Cuban wrap, and we split the buffalo cauliflower. The Cuban wrap was filled with so much food and flavor; I could not stop eating it. The plant-based picadillo, the beans and rice, plus the avocado had amazing flavor. Then the Yuca fries were fried to perfection, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with the garlic cilantro sauce. The buffalo cauliflower had the perfect hint of spice and crunchiness. The food at Vegan Tierra was very good, it was my first time trying Soba Noodles which definitely was a 10/10. The service was good too, it was just one guy at the counter who was very nice and helpful, and our food came out pretty quickly. The ambiance here is fine, it isn't as clean as when we arrived, there was trash on one table (looked like previously from another customer) and a dish bin on another table. The cleanliness was definitely the downfall of our visit but I think we would try this place again, not our top pick. read more

I went to Vegan Tierra last night for a healthy dinner. I ordered "the hulk" smoothie which was made of: spinach, parsley, green apple, celery, cucumber, kiwi and ginger. It was really good! The quinoa salad was pretty good too. While we were eating, a customer ordering takeout asked for everyone in the restaurants attention. She wanted to thank the cooks for making us a healthy meal. She also thanked all of the customers for caring about the animals and choosing to eat vegan that night. All in all, I would go back and try more smoothies and detox juices. Pretty decent place overall; I came here as I am vegetarian and have celiac disease (strict gluten-free), and had heard this place might have some options. They seem to be aware about gluten-free things as well as cross contamination. They do NOT have a dedicated fryer for gluten-free, so they recommended to avoid fried foods. It's an extremely casual place, order at counter type place. Everything on the menu is also vegan, as the name implies. THe ingredients all felt pretty fresh, which was nice. They also are able to make some dishes gluten-free by substitutions. My favorite dish was the quesadilla, which uses the Daiya cheese. My next favorite was the soba with vegetables and a sweet/spicy sauce. The Lentil penne ala vodka was good, but nothing to write home about, as it felt like something that I could make. The dishes are definitely priced as you might expect from a vegan place with gluten-free options, so probably not a regular go-to place. TLDR: Good, consistent plant-based restaurant that is just a little too light on the flavor punches and the main dining hall can get loud. Service: amazing, kind, attentive. However, even when you dine in, it is order at the counter. The prices skew toward that of a full service restaurant which is why I docked 1 star for service. Atmosphere: small, cute, and clean. The primary complaint is that the blenders are in the dining room so if anyone orders a smoothie, your nice and pricey meal becomes a screaming fest with party members. If the restaurant was more casual and priced accordingly, the smoothie bar would be par for the course, but 1 star docked for this. Food: the soups are GREAT! We have tried 4/5 soups and they were all very yummy. The mac and cheese bites had great texture, but the flavor was a little bland where some garlic or something to jazz it up would have been appreciated. The pear/beat salad and Buffalo wrap were LOVED by those who ordered. The grilled cheese was good but nothing amazing. We wanted to venture out and try something new and wanted vegan food specifically. We googled and found this vegan place & we are so glad we gave it a try. We ordered online through their website and picked it up, choose this option over the outside food ordering places, the prices are marked up significantly on places like Uber Eats and Door Dash. I ordered the orange cauliflower and it was absolutely delicious. The taste was delicious, the cauliflower was lightly breaded and fried but did not feel unhealthy. The presentation was also excellent with thinly sliced veggies, multi colored sesame seeds and white rice with a sweet yet savory orange sauce. Yum! My partner ordered the soba noodles. I tried them, but honestly I liked mine more. His was full of veggies and there was lots of food in his to go container. I almost forgot to mention the Mac n cheese balls. Wow. How amazing! We both loved them. I can't eat dairy so that was a real treat for me. I decided to grab a chocolate mousse and tiramisu for dessert. It was expensive at $7/piece, but I splurged to give it a try. I was supper excited to see a vegan restaurant that isn't located in Miami, West Palm Beach or east Fort Lauderdale - and even more excited that my husband agreed to try it AND he returned with me for a 2nd try. My kid even agreed to go. The food is absolutely fresh and delicious. The claims of "mostly" organic - well, it was a bit disheartening seeing Jif peanutbutter on the shelf for the smoothies and there are quite a bit of menu items with impossible meat. I would love to find a vegan restaurant that doesn't sell impossible and gardein. Considering I make that occasionally at home, and non-vegan restaurants usually have that as their 1 option other than a salad, I'd love to see a little more creativity. Now that that is out of the way - yes, I still feel they are 4 star. Why? The food is delicious. It's served hot. You don't have to be vegan to enjoy the menu - it's a nice mix of items. The spicy hummus wasn't too spicy and had really great flavor. The standout was the grilled cheese. I don't love mushrooms and I wanted to eat every last bite of them. The first time I tried the Buffalo cauliflower and although it was soggy but it tasted good still. I did do take out so the moisture from the steam could have gotten to it. Now there is a weird smell when you walk into this place that I couldn't shake. Would've also loved to have a more courteous customer service experience with the person who took our order - maybe she was having an off day and wasn't very happy? Nonetheless food was great for vegan! The Buffalo cauliflower is a must, though I would've loved if they used fresh cauliflower instead of frozen. The Buffalo sauce was perfection! I loved how the yucca fries were plated next to my Cuban wrap, and my dad was thrilled at the size of his burger. My mom said the soba noodles were delicious and she had enough to take home as leftovers. We were all full when we left! My only slight critique is that I tipped twice because I didn't realize there was a 15.5% service fee already added--but that's partly on me for tapping through the Clover POS screen too quickly. I was actually next door at a YES event and figured I had to stop by and grab something to go since I was in the area. I was a little appalled by the prices and rather than getting dinner for my husband and I, we decided to just try an appetizer and a cookie. Literally a $20 bill, which I found to be hardly worth it. It's kind of upsetting because it makes vegan food less accessible to most people. I did choose 4 out of 5 stars for the quality though, the Mac and cheese balls were small but good and same for the red velvet chocolate chip cookie. Since I don't like the taste of meat substitutes, I normally wouldn't eat in a place like this. This one, this one had quite a few choices that I would eat. We started with the guacamole and chips. The guacamole had great flavor, was very fresh and the chips were very crispy. The next thing to come out was the fried macaroni and cheese ball. I was only going to have a little bite, yeah right. It was so good I ate the whole thing. Next, oh the cob salad, everything was so fresh the dressing was fabulous and they put the black beans on the side for me. I was sharing it with my wife and I don't like black beans. The last things we had were the yucca fries and sweet bananas.
