    This is a Drive thru ONLY DMV services. I had a very pleasant experience coming here. The ladies were very nice and efficient. It probably took less than 10 minutes and I was out of there. With a permit to move after switching title on a truck.

    Had to renew my registration and couldn't do it online because my address needed to be updated. Came here and only one car in front of me. Was in and out in 15 minutes. Mary and Job were quick, kind, and efficient. I also went to the dmv website to get a quote ahead. The price they gave me was the exact same with a $35 service fee so it was accurate to what I expected. No complaints here.

    They gave me expired dmv information when I asked for a study guide for class A. The drive thru is convenient and easy to get into.

    Decent experience, great for a DMV. I just wish they had signs that told the public what a DMV…read moreagent told the confused crowd waiting at the front at eight-minute increments. Let me break it down for you: When you enter: - If you have a behind the wheel test appointment, you are to wait in line to the left. The agent that works at Window 1 will call out last names and aid you, from what I saw. - If you do not have an appointment and are there for another service, you must go to the front of the "Information" area and scan a QRC on a printed half-sheet of paper. This will take you to the application completion form online and you can "check in" that way, from what I gather. *Please note this is based on instruction I heard.* -If you DO have an appointment, which I recommend, you can go sit in the waiting area beyond the information desk and you should receive a text with a ticket number about ten minutes before your appointment time. If you don't receive a text, I'd wait about ten minutes after your appointment time in case they are running behind, then you can go back and politely tell the agent that addresses the waiting crowd at the front to check. They will likely ask your name and manually send you a text then with a ticket number. From then on, it's just a waiting game. I was helped today by Eugene M., who was pleasant, funny and professional. He made an anxiety-ridden morning a bit more bearable. The line for the camera was a bit long, but I mean, it's the DMV. You can expect to be there a little while. Overall a decent experience to renew my license. I'd come here again. But PLEASE GET SOME CLEAR SIGNAGE!!!!

I did it on my phone while I was here, & it was ~20-30 mins before I was called. There's a self-service kiosk at the entrance that has 6 options, one of them being vehicle registration renewal. I learned that the card reader doesn't perceive swiping a card or tapping a card, so you have to insert your card into the chip reader. The employee at window 14 was very amicable & cool. I went to go take my new picture & the guy photographing looked miserable but took 4 separate shots of me bc I think I kept blinking from the flash. New license should come in the mail in 5-7 days, & my vehicle registration was taken care of at the self-service kiosk! Also, the TV shows the upcoming sports schedule, lol. Which tbh is the real reason we all go to the DMV, right? Parking in this lot was not happening so I parked in the neighbourhood at the cross street. Thank you Long Beach DMV!

    I had to make the dreaded visit to the DMV when a driver's license renewed online never arrived in…read morethe mail. I got to the DMV around 11am and immediately saw a group of people hanging around the entrance. There was a staff member at the door who was trying to answer everyone's questions as they arrived. I followed the posted directions and used the QR code to check in. I was then directed to head over to a separate room to fill out another DL renewal form online. Make sure you take a pic of the confirmation number. They'll ask you for it later. I asked a staff member about receiving a text prior to my name being called and he confirmed that I would get a text about 10 mins prior. During the QR code check in process, you provide your phone number. The DMV will then send you a text, confirming your number. The text sent will also provide information on your place in line. This allowed me to sit outside away from the crowd. When I was called up, I got the unfriendly service the DMV is known for. I was told another DL would come in the mail after she reviewed my online form. Overall, besides the unfriendly service, I really liked the updated check in process and not having to wait inside for my name to be called. Thankfully, I wasn't charged again for this request.

    Try to avoid this DMV as much as possible. Their wait time online is completely wrong. It said…read more20mins but I waited an hour still. When I arrived the security guard told me to check in using the scan code which was quicker so I got to skip the line. But I wish I was given further directions. There were hardly any seats, I stood for about 20mins before chairs opened up. I was only getting a Real Id. I already have a driver's license. The woman at window 7 immediately had an attitude and asked if I had filled out the application at the computer station. She said she would wait 20mins and I could come back to her. That was annoying but fine. I walked over filled out the application in less than 5mins and when I came back she was already seeing some else. But while she was helping him, she was laughing with her colleague and a supervisor. They were all speaking in Spanish and she was now complaining about her computer being down. She finally directed him to finished with her co worker then told me to wait while her computer rebooted. Why couldn't I be redirected also. I didn't want to deal with her and her attitude anymore. So I asked to be seen by someone else also and she gave me an attitude and blamed me saying well I was part of the problem since my app wasn't filled out. I couldn't believe her. My son was getting this Real ID and the rep he dealt with was nice compared to this heffa with an attitude. I guess her job was interrupting her social time. I waited an additional 10mins. It was such an inefficient waste of time. And don't ask for a supervisor. He came over several times to flirt and joke around with her younger coworker she was socializing with. Once I was finally done. I then had to stand in line for the camera and that was a long line with over 20 people in line. The only reason I'm giving this a 2 star is because the camera woman at Station B was super kind. So ultimately if you have to go in and deal with windows 6 or 7 beware. Those women prefer to socialize vs work. And don't ask for a supervisor, the guy is joke also. It's a shame the public has to deal with this lack of professional customer service and poor wait times.

    There is plenty of parking out front. Two lines, one for appointments and one for walk-ups. I…read moreaccidentally stood in the walk-up line (no sign) until I noticed a sign across the way for appointments. Security guard asks questions like name and if you have any weapons, then leads you inside. Metal detector then wait for your name to be called. They have a screen with window numbers and customer numbers, but it didn't seem to update. They just called my name and which window, like the DMV. The young lady at my window was terrific, very friendly and personable. I needed to change my address which you can't do online or over the phone. She seemed surprised that this could only be done in person. Yes, it doesn't make sense to me either, but probably for security? After updating my address, she offered to print out a current copy of my social security statement which was very helpful. Overall it only took about 15-20 minutes to get in and out. I definitely recommend making an appointment although I did it a month ago, so if you need something faster, you may just need to wait in the walk-in line.

I called at 9am and…read moreafter 15 minutes of waiting a rep answers from TORRANCE! they can't help me because I need to speak to my local (Long Beach) office. I try again. This time wait 25 minutes. Another person picks up from A DIFFERENT OFFICE. I said I have to speak to someone at Long Beach. She said when they can't pick up they transfer it to a different office. She tried to help me get connected to Long Beach. Waited 40 minutes and someone picks up from THOUSAND OAKS. I said to this person it's ridiculous that Long Beach is transferring to other locations because other locations can't help. When you are told you have to speak with your local office, you have to speak with your local office. Just waisting the day being put on hold and resolving nothing. They need to go back to the old way. If it's too busy the recording will say call back and the call is disconnected. That will help everyone not waisting their time to talk to someone who can't help them because it's not your local office.
