I'm a merchant who's been in business for 4 years I applied to receive EBT through a governmental website. I was circumvented by "vms" by a guy named Michael Sheehee. Right there is the problem. He guaranteed me repeatedly that I would be able to receive the EBT program. I had no interest in disturbing or disrupting my business my bank account etc I told him in contingent of me getting it. I'll move forward. If not, I have no reason to be with your company. Everything is just fine. He knew out of the gate I would not qualify being a "hot dog cart" saw my instagram viewed pics asked about my celebrity friends, etc. They know I was conned yet still They will not let me out of my contract. I closed my account will not pay them a dime. I'm going to have them investigated for bank fraud. They are predators and the owners are accomplices I emailed her several times she doesn't even have the respect or professionalism to respond . Theyre in India making phone calls scamming old people....they are the bottom of the barrel If anybody's out there that wants to create a "class action" from their predatory behavior let me know I'm pushing forward they will be investigated. NEGATIVE STARS!!!! Feb 22, 2025 we had an event where we processed payments($11,2500) through a POS system provided by VMS. Two weeks later, over 10 hours of being placed on hold, and literally DOZENS of phone calls, they not only failed to resolve this matter, but as a staff led by manager NANCY CALDERON, refuse to accept my calls, repeatedly lied and said she's in meetings or unavailable and will call right back (this I know because I will have someone else immediately call after me and they then say she's available). They shift blame on parent company FISERV, but claim there is absolutely no way to contact them except through an internal email. After claiming I was lying about the terminals usage, I received a lame apology after immediately providing documented proof! I have not only racked up hundreds of dollars in late fees, threats from my landlords, and even a recent lawsuit filed against me from the inability to pay one of my own vendors, I've had to see my staff, that have stood by me and supported our business after the recent deaths of both my parents, grandmother, and nephew just last year, suffer from my inability to pay them. One of them was forced to quit by her husband. This has been the most HORRIBLE experience in my 15 years in business that I'm still trying to figure out how to solve. VMS will not let you cancel your service without paying $495.00- $1500.00 fee. They would not tell you anything about it when you first sign up for application. You only find out when you try to cancel their service. So before you want to use their service, you should know you would have to pay $450-1500 service fee anyway. This is a rubbish company. Our contract has expired and the account has been closed, but they are still charging me for my equipment every month. At first glance you would think VMS was a top rate company based upon their pricing and fees. That is the furthest from the truth. They will hold you by vague and ambiguous policies, even when they are clearly in the wrong, based upon legal contractual GUIDELINES. They will force you to pay fees [that are not disclosed in the opening contract] if you do not agree to third party interests that NOT AGREED TO or disclosed at the entry of the agreements. There are many OTHER top rated companies to do business with: VMS is not one of them. They even got their claws into our privately owned CC processing equipment that was purchased prior to signing up with them - and it remains locked up to this day and un-useable for any other purpose. They gave excuse after excuse why they could not "release" OUR equipment: One of which was that it needed to be connected to a land-line for deprogramming.... which NEVER had to happen to GET it programmed. With a Chicago base and a Chicago character VMS is as shady as the Chacago way. Instead of "working" with a company that never offered to send a replacement for their error or offer compensation for their shortcomings, in the end it was cheaper for us to pay the "break-up fee" and eat the value of OUR CC machines than to stay hooked to their hip. I feel like I stepped backwards for my business by temporarily leaving Brian. I have been frustrated with figuring out when my money would be deposited - with multiple transactions every day, some AmEx and some not, then add in your cut off times - I could never quite tell what to expect in my bank account the next day. Which, I should also add how AMAZING Brian is. You can see clearly what transactions have been run and where they are in the funding process, so you always know what to expect. I opened my account with Suzy, she had a very good customer service, she is honest. But I had to close my account because I was getting charge higher than what I was paying with other merchant services. However, I switched my merchant service to Chase bank, and they still charge me a fee. I received a call from someone that work with VMS and telling me either I return that Machine or he will charge me $950. and I asked him to refund me the fees that they charge me and alex doesn't wanna even talk about the fees, he didn't not let me even talk, after all he hang up in my face. Two days after he called me and asking me if I am returning the machine with attitude. I won't recommend any body to do business with VMS. This company scammed me! They got me to sign contracts based on complete lies promising low rates when in fact it's about the same as square but you also have to pay them a lease for the machine (which they don't tell u upfront is a contract for FOUR YEARS!) plus they have u pay them a certain amount in fees if u don't have enough swipes for the month. I tried to terminate my contract and they said I had to pay them in full if I waned out. So I felt like I had no other choice but to continue my service with them. So then my business went thru some changes and we no longer have a router to connect our machine into i called the company this morning and they said they can send me a mobile device but that I would have to continue to pay them for the lease for the machine for the remaining TWO years. I pay approx. $39/month for the lease of the machine- that's $1,053 I'd pay them being that there's 27 months left! For a device I cannot use!? I wasn't terminating my account with them just trying to trade devices! Manager is a joke and basically blew me off. I'm very upset and actually considering going as far as to close my bank account and letting it go to collections if I have to this is absurd! read more

I've been using their service in my small business for about a month now & I still haven't received half of what was promised. A website was to be included, still don't have one. Gift cards for my customers were to be included, still don't have any even though they said they shipped out 2 weeks ago. Horrible, had them for 3 years, hardware broke, they did nothing but try to extort me into a $500 upgrade, I tried to cancel 3 month ago after switching to my bank citizens and they told me I have to call bank a rep was not there lol tried three time and the same I forgot about it them realize that they were still debiting my account called to cancel, Jonathan Campos, the supervisor starting laughing at me and told me (after I refused to switch back to them) that I needed to pay a termination fee. This company is nothing but snake oil and slim sales reps. They are basically daylight scammers. The sales reps would tell you there's no cancellation fee, no leasing fee, and they're the cheapest and so on. But, when I tried to close and cancel my service they going to charge me closure fee of $500 and leasing fee of $400 from first data (the part processor company). Dema Barakat I began receiving not quite daily calls from them/this number about a month ago (they must troll business filings) annoyed, i went to their website which has option to chat with customer service first time I contacted them, their rep had a female name (Jane ?), gave her my info including telephone number, expressed my displeasure with them violating the do not call registry and she said she would have my number removed from their call list. continued to get calls 2nd time, I went to their website, chat with customer service again, alex g responded, said he would forward my number to the IT director "to remove you out of our system", but a few days later got another call I suggest contacting both the IL Attorney General Lisa Madigan as well as the FTC to file complaints against VMS and Dema Barakat. using social media to expose their seemingly disregard for the law is another approach. read more

STAY AWAY! This company has been completely horrible to work with. First of all, they were calling every single day stalking me to get me to use them. Finally I decided to hear them out and give them a try. I was under the understanding that I had 30 days to make sure I liked the system. Not true!! I did not like the salon scheduling that was an extra monthly fee to use, so the system wasn't worth it to me. It was also incredibly hard to get set up! I kindly asked to send the clover back and cancel with them, so they sent me to Geri who was absolutely AWFUL to work with and completely impossible to talk with. They want to charge me $1500 to get out of my lease!!!!! I am a brand new business and we put our life savings into building my salon. There is no way I can afford $1500! I'm in a hard spot now and don't know what to do. I'm getting nowhere with them and they show no mercy. I even offered to pay half even though it will break me. Well I am reading these reviews and apparently I am not the only person scammed. I wrote before about being scammed into equipment I did not need to process EBT. Already had a clover and advised Velocity. Salesperson ploughed me with incessant calls how I needed her machine and assistance to process EBT transactions and how low rates were. They say I am lying about my experience. First Data is taking $180 out of my checking account every month for equipment that never worked and will never work. Never programmed right upon delivery and since I won't use VMS the clover is unusable. They encrpyt with VMS data so you can't use another merchant. First Data Global Leasing says tough I signed a contract and I have no proof VMS lied and lol First Data just sent me a lease bill for over $6000 to get out of lease and return equipment that was never used. Believe me VMS was pulling an additional $180 for merchant fees for months and never used them once. They let me out of merchant contract but will not advise First Data I was called and lied to about needing this system. Terrible experience. Very upsetting to be defrauded. It is stealing money and they won't reply to my emails to advise First Data to cancel. They advised First Data I wanted this. Total lie. read more
