My first visit was fine. I got a spa pedicure ($40, I think). I tried making a reservation online through their website but never got a confirmation. I called and they told me to come as a walk-in. I had to wait but when I got my pedi, it was fine--pretty basic, nothing out of the ordinary. The polish selection is extensive. The vibe was chill and quiet; there were 4 or 5 other clients and no one was talking. While I don't know if this will be my go-to place, it's fine in a pinch. read more

Yes. I visited this salon while visiting fam and I wish I could bring this whole salon home with me. My regular person has been unavailable for two months and the person who has been filling in is... not good. I walked in with my nails mangled like I had them done at the school for the blind and Shay gave me a flawless fill and pedi. She spent so much time with me checking and rechecking to make sure everything was even and smooth. I came here on the recommendation of my Aunt Debbie who will see no one else and always has perfect nails. If I lived here I would absolutely make this my regular spot. I have come here a few times and usually have no problems. Yesterday, I went in at 6:30pm to get my nails soaked off. The guy taking my nails off was rushing to get them off and he was trying to use a tool to pop them off. I asked him to soak them off and he kept telling me that it would take a long time, even though I didn't mind. Then, while using the nail drill to file my nails down, he cut me and caused me to bleed. He was going to proceed as normal! I had to ask him to spray my cut with alcohol and I had to ask for a bandage. I didn't see him clean the drill tip. I asked one of the ladies how often they clean the nail drill tips and she said once a day... I will not be going back here, they are supposed to be cleaned and sanitized in between each person! I don't recommend this place!! I Also noticed the drill tips are stored in altoid mint cans ,which they shouldn't be and, and used nail buffers & dirty nail files are reused on each client! The experience was less than pleasant. When my daughter and I walked in (around 4:15pm) we weren't acknowledged or greeted. No eye contact from anyone ... nothing... so, after standing in the walkway for about 5-7 minutes, so I said we would like to get pedicures do you know who we should talk to about that (to someone sitting in the mail drying seats up front. She motioned over to a lady providing a nail service to a patron who then looked up and and said "can I help you" to which I respond "we both would like a pedicure". The lady said "ok"and paused and said nothing else. I waited a little while and then said "should we pick a color or how does this work? " (This is usually how things work in nail salons) she said "oh yes". I walked over to the polish carousel, but did not care for the colors available, so I asked if there were more colors. She then said for me to wait until we were in the chair. I asked how long of a wait, she said "do you want the pedicures together? "I said they didn't have to be together, or whatever makes this convenient for you guys". She said "oh ok they're ready for you both now. " We walk over to the chairs, the lady behind filling the basin with water and asks that we wait to put our feet in as the water could be too hot. (We complied) when it was time to put our feet in the you g lady motioned for us to put out feet in, so we do so. The water was ice cold(but sure how this mistake was made but it's a mistake) we both said the water is very cold(she apologizes and runs more water on the basins until we are comfortable. Now there is another young lady helping who then provides us some books of color to choose from, and asks if we would like acrylic on our toes to even out the length differences on our toes we both say sure(I assume if you ask a question such as this you would be well versed in this sort of practice ....boy was I wrong) neither of them knew how to do this efficiently and when asked to even out the size because it obviously too long, the young ladies seemed confused. It took 3 people to get it right for my daughter and some guy instructed the young lady who was doing mine a few times. I even asked him since he knows what needs to be done, if he could just do it to save on time. He just walked away(‍‍)it was so bad I said "Can I see the drill and file so i can fix it." I ended up shaping my own toe nails and demanding they put on a clear coat and cut down my daughter's nails. I explained three times there was not a clear coat on the nails, she didn't understand and again the guy came over and another lady had to come over and explain what it was that I was saying. She kept telling my daughter she was finished, when she was not finished. Now I know this seems petty, but I question, if this is your arena and you (nail tech) are the expert in this moment, why is it that I have to teach basic customer service skills, customer etiquette, And how to shape a nail(especially when I paid you 140.00 ) what the heck am I paying you for? Needless to say I won't be back, and I have to say, if we have to demand customer service of those due to provide it, then why are we patronizing these sort of businesses? Not to mention not getting any color on my nails, because I was so frustrated and irritated. The place closed at 7:00, and we were being rushed out the door by 6:30. Idk about anyone else, but I don't want to inconvenience anyone so I chose not to get color on my toes. But this is subpar and we as customers should demand more? read more

Wonderful! Billy, is normally my go-to person, however everyone working at this salon is such a pleasure to work with. I have never had any issues when going here, they're always so pleasant and easy-going and clean. Prices are decent as well, may be a little expensive when compared to other nail salons, but it is well worth it. I got the basic pedicure for $32 which truly was basic and definitely not a full 30 minutes as advertised. It mostly consisted of being rubbed with latex gloves. I am happy with my nail polish color. However the worst part of the experience was the technician!!! She was very rough which was not relaxing, but worst of all is she was absolutely snorting and coughing all over me!!! If I get Covid this week I will 100% know where I got it from! My technician did wear a mask but she was actually sniffing so hard she was snorting it was so gross, and when she coughed I could feel the air come through her mask and hit my legs. I came to relax but I was so stressed out the entire time about what illness the technician was spreading! She also dragged her boobs literally all over my legs whenever she would reach for something which I just found unprofessional. I just hope in the future if they have technicians that are sick they have them stay home and not infect good paying customers! read more

TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP!! Today was my first time there and this is HANDS DOWN the worst experience I have ever had in a nail salon, EVER. With the WORST acrylics I have ever seen in my life. I asked for oval acrylics about medium length. The lady who did my nails (she was very young with a large mole on her eye brow, I did not get her name) was so rough and completely rude to me! When she began she applied my acrylics on the very very tip of my nail and it began to curve upward. I was confused but being this was my first time at Babylon, I did not question it. She was VERY ROUGH the entire time, I found dried blood under my nails after I left the salon! She continued to do my nails and once the acrylic was applied, I let her know that I didn't like how a few of my nails looked. She had an attitude and attempted to fix it by repeatedly filing the nails, knowing that wouldn't fix the problem! The nail was applied terribly to the point where all of the filing in the world would not fix it. After she applied the color I let her know I did not like it again and she rudely asked why I never told her I didn't like it... BUT I TOLD HER PREVIOUSLY, WAYY BEFORE THE COLOR WAS APPLIED. As I attempted to tell her what I didn't like, she cut me off and acted like she couldn't see the various mistakes on my nails. I showed my sister who was with me and she seen the mistakes and pointed them out quickly. IT WAS OBVIOUS, two nails were completely curved due to the fake nail being applied to high on my nail bed. As well as other nails being completely lopsided and looking nothing like rounded nails. I continually told her what was shaped wrong and she rolled her eyes and continued being smart raising her voice saying she doesn't see what I was complaining about, asking "WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE DONE". I then asked if I could have the acrylics nails removed and my money back because I had already paid. She then rudely said they do not give money back. I asked if another employee could do a new full set and she huffed and puffed and only fixed the two nails which were the worse. I paid $30 for terrible, lopsided nails and got terrible service! I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN. DO NOT GO TO THIS NAIL SHOP, there are many many many BETTER shops in Harrisburg. I talked to other people who have went to this shop and they said how their nails were below average and complained about the service done by the "young lady with a mole on her eyebrow". They humored me as I took forever to pick a color from one of their MANY gel polishes and the prices were almost half of most other places. I am originally from Brooklyn NY and used to getting my nails laid without having to instruct the tech how to fill, file and paint the nail properly. I have been in Pennsylvania for 6 years 3 different areas and this is the first time I was able to get my nails laid like I used to back in Brooklyn. I also use pinterest a lot to see new trends etc, and was never able to go into a salon, point to a picture and say I want this without the technician saying it was something they couldn't do. Well, that is exactly what happened when I went into Babylon nails... I pointed to a picture of an elaborate design and they said YES, WE CAN DO THAT! when it was all said and done I was very happy with how everything turned out. at this point its about 3 weeks later and I need them redone.(that is why I didn't add a picture) I am going today to get my nails done again and I am sure it will be delightful. also, the experience I had in this shop was great. everyone was accommodating and professional, the salon itself is decorated so nicely you can just assume they will do good work. they greeted almost everyone that came through the door by name which was refreshing to see so many regulars, (and a lot of people came in to get their nails done) I even went back about 4 days later because one of my stones fell out and they replaced it no problem. they did my eyebrows good as well. this is now my spot to et my nails done and trust me I am very picky about my nails. they have, and can do all of the latest trends.. ie. foil paper, color dipping, hand designs, matte finishes, chrome, cats eye, glitter nails, coffin nails, marble nails etc. I wasn't disappointed, you wont be either. read more
