This nail salon had fairly decent reviews on Facebook and other outlets, which is what prompted me to try this salon in the first place; however, this place was beyond disappointing. I got a simple gel manicure. The polish selection is great, but the application was not any better than my own. There is gel polish residue all around my cuticles and my nails are still tacky from the gel polish. In fact, as soon as I got home I had to apply alcohol to my nails to take the remaining residue off. I will say the manicurist did do a decent job "prepping" my nails to apply the polish, but the application of the actual polish was just terrible and unprofessional. Further, my cuticles appear to look more dry and terrible than they did before the manicure. As for the atmosphere of the salon, if you're looking for ambiance, this really isn't the place for you. If you're a clean freak and are looking for a place that exudes top notch cleanliness, then this definitely isn't the place for you either. Overall, I would not return. Maybe it was an off day for the person, but nevertheless unacceptable. I will say the gel manicure was reasonably priced at $25 (and I did leave a $5 tip); however, I would have rather paid more for a better quality manicure elsewhere. Unfortunately was not impressed. I tried it out because they had a lot of good reviews. Place smells like cigarette smoke as soon as you walk in and it's definitely not the cleanest and needs updated. Won't be going back. read more

I'm new to the area and was looking for a decent nail place. I read some good Google reviews on Galaxy and the fact that it is close to my home was a plus. My first visit, Dan did my nails and he was AWESOME. On my second visit a woman did my nails. As far as how she does the acrylic--she's slow but ok. When it comes to painting--DO NOT LET HER TOUCH YOUR NAILS. I asked for cat eye, which I have had multiple times from other nail salons in the area I moved from. She had no clue how to use the "magnet" correctly and my nails looked like a purple mess. The third time I went to get my nails done, I chose a chrome color. Ok, how hard could THAT be? Well, Dan was busy, so this woman again did my nails and AGAIN they look like crap. It was obvious while she was putting the chrome powder on that she didn't know what she was doing. My nails look like they have some kind of cloudy film on them. Just HORRIBLE. If you go here, request Dan. Otherwise, you will probably be sorry. They had three tries and they lost my business for good. read more

My friend and I went for our first time today. I had Dan for the start of my acrylic nails. He was fantastic. A lady then painted my nails. She took her time and made sure they looked perfect. I really appreciated that. very happy read more

Came here for the first time to get a mani and pedi for a gala that I attended. My sister in law made us an appointment and they were ready for us when we arrived. The pedicures were lovely with nice warm soapy water and the standard massage chairs. The staff was friendly and took the time with my feet massaging them and my legs with lotion. The manicure was quick since I got the gel but I didn't feel like my nails turned out as nice as my toes. There are some nails that look "sloppy" like the polish is on my cuticles and skin. The gel didn't hold up either. It was peeling within a couple of days which I know shouldn't be the case. I am a little disappointed in it and don't think I'll return. I feel bad though because the staff was friendly. For $50 I would expect everything to be going strong from Thursday to the weekend :-( read more

I went in for a gel manicure on Sunday, February 19th, (supposed to last up to 2 weeks)...by Tuesday, the polish on both of my index fingers had peeled off (just two days later). By Sunday of the next week (only 7 days), I had four painted nails left. For $30 manicure, this should have lasted longer than one day! I will NOT be back and suggest you think twice before patronizing this nail salon. read more

Terrible place. I would give it a 0 if I could. Went there a year ago. I wanted a gel manicure. I was told my nails were too short and that I needed tips. I also said I wanted a French manicure. They gave me pink and whites. Ended up spending 80 dollars. I felt very taken advantage of. I just went to a great nail place where my nails were super short and they did a gel manicure. I have been going to this nail salon since they opened - 15 years ago. I wouldn't go anywhere else. My 90 year old mother also went with me every two weeks for 5 years. They treated her wonderfully. Dan and Tanya Tran are the principal technicians and I have never been dissatisfied. They have also added Jennie (Lindsay) and she does facials and massages as well as manicures and pedicures. I get a monthly deluxe pedicure which involves wonderful massage, paraffin soak and many other extras. They have new pedicure massage chairs which are very comfortable and the entire salon is very clean. I see the same people returning as customers all the time. In this competitive business, this is one nail salon that maintains high quality services and a friendly atmosphere. Stop in to see them. You won't be disappointed. Thank you Dan, Tanya and Jennie.
