I have an elderly dog who is extremely d to work with and she has sent the best groomers I and my dogs have ever experienced. I have worked with three of Vikki's groomers, and everyone of them was absolutely wonderful. Vikki's staff respects her because she is a wonderful person who knows how to run a professional business. Vikki is a beautiful Profesional and her staff is absolutely lovely to work with. I would recommend this Groomer to anyone in all of Arizona. -had my dog groomed here on 10/1 -made my next appt for 4 weeks later on 10/29 -they called the morning of 10/29 to say they had to cancel -rescheduled me for 11/10 @ 10am -dropped off my pup @ 9:50am -called to ask for an update @ 12:30pm (2.5 hours into appointment) -told to come in 45 min -arrived 1 hour later and was told it will be 30 more min (4 hours after my appointment start time) -scheduling, time keeping and communication all very disappointing read more

Something has changed here...for the worse. It's great that they're very busy, but things have gotten sloppy. I brought my dog in for a grooming at 8:30a. I called at 12:30 to check on him. They said "we're just finishing up, he'll be ready in 15 minutes". So I drove over to find they hadn't even started. My nervous dog had been a cage for 5 hours. I came back an hour later. My dog's fur looked choppy, clearly a rush job. He was wearing the wrong collar and leash. And they had the nerve to charge $75. It used to be $60. Not going back. read more

Today Friday March 29th 2024 we had an appointment to have their Mobil unit to come to our house at 11:30 am. To our amazement Amanda Card the groomer showed up 5 minutes early. I've used velvet Bow for 4 years now and though they have been very good at grooming our girl Bella this time was absolutely fantastic!! She introduced herself very pleasantly as we've alway's had different people groom Bella from Velvet Bow. She asked us what we were hoping for and I explained that even though Bella had some matting I'd like to have her cut be one inch in length and her nail's cut. The last woman we had shaved her down completely and my husband wasn't too happy about it. I also wanted her face to have a cute cut too. When Bella walked into the house after she was done I was blown away at how incredibly cute she looked. It was the best cut my Bella ever had!! Bella is a golden doodle that's 4 years old and Amanda Card gave her a puppy cut! She looked SO FREAKING CUTE!! I'm still over the moon every time I look at my girl. If you want exactly what you ask for and Amanda say's ok, then that what you'll get and you will not be disappointed! I hope and pray Amanda stay's at the Velvet Bow because she's the woman I'll be asking for every single time Bella needs grooming. Thank you Amanda Card. You're amazing at your craft. When I took my fur kids to Velvet Bow for the first time I was hooked! They care about your babies! They take the time to get to know you & your fur kids. They work with your kids to make them feel comfortable. My babies look amazing when I pick them up. They have a positive family feel to their business. It's very warm & welcoming. I told my Mom about them & she took her older dog who's blind & has dementia. She went to pick him up & one of the ladies was holding him to ensure he felt comfortable. She was beyond ecstatic by how he looked & how they took care of him. If you haven't taken your babies here for their spa day, I highly recommend you do! Velvet Bow Dog Groomers purposely put A LOT fragrance all over my dog when I informed them repeatedly that I have asthma and that fragrance can literally kill me. They also chopped my dogs hair off and denied cutting it, blaming it on the previous Groomers. The owner was trying to gas light me, and everything I said, she claimed to be victimized. The owner denied it, but I do not lie or make things up! I had an asthma attack!, my dog had to be washed (twice) to get the fragrance out, and my dogs hair is butchered. read more

So glad to have this awesome service right in my driveway. It's hard to get the dogs in the car, drive somewhere, provide the shot records, and then drive home, hoping my car doesn't get covered in dog hair. But with Velvet Bow, they come right to your house, do the work while parked in your driveway and it couldn't be easier! She did a great job on my short-haired lab shepherd that needed nail trim and a good de-shedding. And she was super understanding with my border collie who is skittish and wanted to nip at her. So I stayed in her truck and helped comfort my dog so she was relaxed and the groomer could work. read more

I have gone here for a couple of years. They had some decent groomers at one time. I had a terrible experience with them shaving my Shi-Tzu face completely once. I returned and walked them thru the puppy cut on a Shi Tzu Received a decent cut. Took them back and got another butch job. It appears a bunch of unskilled younger groomers are now working there. I wouldn't have them groom my turtle. I have been breading Shi Tzu's for 15 yrs. these folks just don't know what they are doing. I stand by my original comments. I know who grooms my dogs. This owner is a proven liar. Read the reviews and make your decision. They in fact had groomers prior to Covid that were much better. This location has no Covid safety in their shop other than asking customers to wear masks. No gloves or masks for the staff that I observed. read more

I'm very happy with her haircut and I appreciate the attention to detail. FIVE stars for the groomer. This is the best pet grooming salon in the Tucson area although not really conveniently located for me. I cannot say that I am a fan. Honestly, I would rather take my dog to Petsmart but they do offer free baths for rescue dogs currently being fostered. The first time I took my dog here it was in a tiny location on the other side of the plaza. They have since I upgraded to a larger place in the same Plaza but seem very dis-organized and poorly run. It took the girl five minutes to locate my dog's leash and collar (after I told her what it looked like and she was the one who bathed my dog). They have this very dis-organized wall as well with all the leashes and collars hanging on it but no real system to it. I also cannot make heads or tails about their pricing system. What qualifies a "hairy dog" or "Large dog"... see my photo. The first time I had her bathed was passible, the second time was pretty bad. Her face is still pretty grimy and makes my fingers black. Her fur is still coming out in clumps, it appears that they didn't brush her at all. I know she's a German Shepherd but it didn't look like there removed any of her undercoat. For the price they charge, I just expected a little bit more. read more

I ask for a specific groomer, and my dog ends up with a different one, without anyone asking me if that's ok. Due to that, I just never know what my dog will look like when I pick her up.
