A week later I was given 3 samples I could choose from which were all well thought out! A day or two later my invites & envelopes were ready for pick up. Mine were done fairly quickly since I decided to write out my addresses myself, but if you want they can put your addresses on for you. Let me say both Laura and Brittany were both professional and incredibly nice during the entire process. We're compared prices on a bunch of items from each of the K-pop shops at The Source and K Place is almost always is a few dollars cheaper than its competitors. Secondly, the album selection is better and you get a wide array of new releases as well as older albums from previous generations. Many of the new releases also come with preorder benefits (POBs) that is only offered at K Place. These attributes also applies to their online store as well which we also buy from when we are unable to go to the physical storefront. The store can get busy especially during weekends but the lines always go pretty fast. The customer service is nice too. A guy let me repick my POB if it ended up being the same member as another POB I picked. If you sign up for their free membership you get $5 off every $100 spent in-store and online as well so definitely sign up for that if you want additional savings. Another thing to look out for is discounts throughout the store. Some popular items that go on discount are usually older magazines and various merch that they're trying to get rid of. Once in awhile, they'll have a stack of freebies by the front entrance too (usually opened albums without photocards, posters, etc.). Once in awhile, they'll host a girl group/boy group photocard trading event too so keep up with their social media if you want to buy/sell/trade your photocard collection at one of these events. I was looking for a fantasy book for my teenage brother and the employee was incredibly helpful giving recommendations, finding the "teen book of the month." I didn't even know they had a teen book of the month! The organization of the store was great. The categories and book selections that were specially displayed were especially helpful. For example, in their AAPI stories section I was able to find some really interesting books that I might have not otherwise seen. A selection of their Barnes and Noble specialty book covers that feature some classic works (like Pride and Prejudice and Winnie the Pooh) were on sale for between $8-$12. For such a beautiful high quality book, I would definitely return to purchase one of those at that price. The other books though were a bit pricey. I placed an online order this morning for an in-stock item for store pickup and paid through…read morePayPal. I immediately received an order confirmation with a confirmation number and was told to wait for a second email when my order was ready. After waiting over an hour with no update, I called the store and spoke with the manager. She assured me that since I had a confirmation number, I would be receiving the pickup email shortly. Another hour later, instead of a pickup notification, I received an email stating my order had been canceled and my payment was being refunded. This was a very frustrating experience. The website showed the item as in stock, and the manager confirmed everything appeared to be fine, only for the order to be canceled without explanation. The poor communication and misleading inventory information wasted my time. Based on this experience, I would not recommend doing business with this store until they improve their inventory accuracy and customer service.
