The best place to place and unreal cheap! Perfect place to play. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Love the vibe inside too and great spot for beginners

Back room I played in. There are a couple tables behind this and then there is a front room with maybe 5-6 tables.

First off, I've not seen a legit pool hall like this on any of the islands I've been to. It's possible I've missed them but I've looked at least on Oahu, Maui and Kauai. This is a spot for every level of player but serious players will be very pleased. A ton of tables, more than 10, all but one 9 footers, fantastic quality with tournament cloth on all. All Brunswick and diamond, with one that is something else, custom maybe. Balls were in almost new condition and perfectly polished.. best I've played with at a pool hall in I don't know how long. Open until 2am, everyone is super friendly and respectful and rates are amazing! I played for almost 4 hours and paid less than $25 with tip.. that does not happen anywhere, not even Des Moines, KC or SLC. Ambiance is exactly what you'd want from a legit pool hall and parking is plenty. There are vending machines, which are also very very reasonably priced.. almost grocery store prices. This place checks all the boxes for me and is a winner in every category, on or off island. Very well done!

I recently started playing pool again and was glad to find Velvets just a short walk away. Like many I thought it was kind of sketchy at first but this is a really nice place to play. Lots of really nice people that I've meet and Warren the manager is always eager to help if you ask him. Velvets has 2 3 cushion tables, 2 Diamond tables and 2 Breton tables up front. 5 Brunswick tables, 3 Gandy tables, 1 Diamond bar table and a Chinese 8 ball table in the back. All are 9 foot tables except for the 3 cushion tables and bar table. They even have a set of snooker balls. They also hold a monthly 9 ball tournament on the last Sunday of every month. Velvets has parking but it can get full pretty quickly. Street parking on S. King street is plentiful. Prices are very reasonable compared to the mainland. One of a handful of pool halls left on Oahu. As of today (December 17, 2021) mask and proof of vaccination are required.

Amazing equipment, played Sunday morning. Good mix of crowd and the tables have new simonis on gold crowns. The equipment is near pro competition standard. Dont let exterior deter you, this place is for serious shooters.

A hidden billiards location open til 2 am every night (discretion of owner as well). I went on a Sunday night around 10 pm and me and 2 other friends played for an hour. It is cheap. We played about an hour and it was under $11 for 3 people (so under $4 a person). The place has its own parking lot, it's upstairs, has about 15 billiard tables that are really nice. On a Sunday night it was quiet with about a total of 10 people max playing. They have specials on certain night. Monday nights is college nights. College students with ID pay 1/2 price for all regular tables from 7pm-11pm. Ladies night is Wednesday nights with 2 or more people of half price from 7pm-11pm. 9am to 2 pm tables 1-6 with snooker $4.50/hour/person while tables 7-14 with bar table is $4/hour/person 2pm-closing is tables 1-6 with snooker $6/hour/person While tables 7-14 with bar table is $5/hour/person Seniors over age 60 $1 discount per hour/per person Table with 3 people or more $1 discount per hour/per person. The pricing has been that price since July 2019. There are vending machines for snacks , bottle water and canned soda. Great atmosphere, quiet, fun, clean and why not play billiards. The place does not allow jump shots and no masse shots. Credit card/debit cards must be a minimum of $25 charge so bring cash if you are not there that long.

Nothing to special in my opinion, just a place to play pool and stuff. The prices are a deal which I can say. (:

When we read that this was an old school pool room, I was hopeful.

King's Billiard - Old, GMaps pic, but Imua Lounge would be in the right hand complex. There is a hair salon on the ground floor before the stair case.

"Pocket Pool" is what many people play, this is BILLIARDS..... larger tables with no pockets, and only 3 balls - one white, yellow and red. the place was empty, so i'm guessing really new. there was one guy working the register area towards the back corner of the place. from what i can tell, the tables were nice, but i have yet to play on them. they have the instructions posted on the walls b/c many people probably do not know the rules of billiards, so that is handy. i think i'm gonna come back to play here and check out what the prices are....

Upon entering its small, luckily it was empty when I went with my friends which was perfect. We didn't know the instructions would be in Korean but we had an employee explain how to play 4 Ball. Once you understand the instructions the game is really fun and we became competitive! I didnt see any liquor and forgot to ask. They charge $2 for 10 minutes of gameplay. Don't worry you don't have to set your watch or iPhone because they have a clock that keeps the time for you. Overall, I would go back because i learned a new game. I don't know if there are nights when it gets busy but I went on a Saturday night (late night) and it was empty.

5,000,000 Stars - Jeff the Divine Pourer of Honolulu Tavern…read more If Zeus stepped down from Olympus, traded in his lightning bolt for a cocktail shaker, and opened a dive bar in Honolulu, he would still fall short of the sheer majesty that is Jeff the Bartender. I walked into Honolulu Tavern expecting a beer and maybe a game of pool. I walked out a changed human being, spiritually reborn through the transcendent wizardry of Jeff's drink-making abilities. The man didn't just pour me a Mai Tai -- he summoned it from another dimension using ancient Polynesian incantations and possibly a portal beneath the bar. Jeff doesn't make drinks. He crafts liquid experiences. I ordered a Jack and Coke. He gave me an elixir so powerful I briefly remembered all my past lives and cried openly at the bar. Jeff handed me a napkin without breaking eye contact. "Let it out," he said, in a voice smoother than the whiskey he poured. He flips bottles like he's auditioning for a Cirque du Soleil fire show. He garnishes with flair, zest, and possibly dark sorcery. He doesn't just serve drinks -- he blesses them. At one point, someone tried to order a vodka cranberry. Jeff leaned in and whispered, "I can do better." Moments later, he slid a drink across the bar that tasted like a sunset riding a unicorn across Waikiki Beach. Also -- and I cannot stress this enough -- Jeff remembered everyone's name, their favorite drink, and gave unsolicited but eerily accurate life advice. One sip of his signature cocktail and my taxes filed themselves, my skin cleared, and I received a text from my ex apologizing for everything. In conclusion: Jeff is not a bartender. He is a mixological prophet. A liquid shaman. A cocktail demigod. If you die before experiencing a drink from Jeff, you've wasted your one precious life. Mahalo, Jeff. Mahalo for EVERYTHING

The place isn't fancy -- just a couple of fans trying to move the air -- but it has a relaxed, no-frills vibe that's refreshing after walking around Waikiki.
